hmmm, what do I love about WDW? Where to begin?

I just love the atmosphere there. It makes me feel like a kid again, basically. :)

My favorite things about Disney are prolly the shows. I LOVED Hunchback, and so wish they hadn't closed it. Right now, my favorite is Nemo, with the Cali Adventure's Aladdin in second place.
Also, the night time shows are amazing as well. Fantasmic is my all time fave, but I loveee the music for Illuminations (it's actually my cell ringtone right now!), Wishes, and Spectromagic.

Oh, cool tidbit about the Nemo musical... My friend's sister and brother-in-law wrote the music! :) (Which means her brother-in-law wrote Avenue Q as well!)

Welcome to the thread Kim! I kinda like Hannah Montana, too... I have a few songs on my MP3 player :rolleyes1 My little cousin absolutely loves all things Miley Cyrus so when she's over and watching Hannah Montana I'll always watch it too :rotfl: Just don't tell any of my friends! :lmao:

How cool is that?! I've never seen Ave. Q but I saw promotional appearances on a few TV shows and specials and it looks FUNNY!

I LOVE the Nemo musical!!!!! I saw it for the very first time this past November and fell in love with it. The songs are original and catchy!!! How cool is it that you know the guy who wrote it!!!! :yay:

I've never seen Avenue Q either, but I'd really like to from what I've seen/heard, it looks hilarious!

Hmm...

I love the very first day at WDW. Finally being there and being able to see all the things you've been dreaming about for months. I love love love Tomorrowland and go to it first everytime I visit MK. I love being one of the only people walking around poncho-less and just enjoying the rain (heck, I even sit on the wet benches!). I love walking through the resort every morning on my way to the bus stops. I love the way I feel when I think about WDW after I get home.

My favorite resort (and I haven't even stayed there) would probably be the Polynesian. I can't wait until I'm older and have saved enough money to be able to stay there.

Oh man, there's no way I could pick just ONE favorite thing about Disney. I love it all! But, I must say that one of the best feelings is walking into Magic Kingdom and seeing Cinderella's Castle. :lovestruc

yea!! and hearing the music thats played down those streets and all.. it just makes you so happy for some reason haha

This thread is moving fast! I almost want it to move over to the CB so that I'll actually be in one of the "cliques" for once.:rotfl:

I don't believe some of you are just starting classes or haven't even started yet... we started on the 3rd, so it's already almost midterm time. Yuck.

Hmm, Disney... my favorite thing is just the overall atmosphere. How it makes me feel like a kid, and I can tell it does the same for my whole family. And I love all the details, and how you can notice something different every time you go. I also love taking pictures of everything, especially those little details... last time I went, I took 900 pictures in 5 days (yeah, I'm ridiculous)!

I guess my favorite specific thing would have to be Illuminations. I just love it. Like Disneymusicgirl, I love the Millenium Celebration cd, and the Illuminations music is especially awesome. My family and I always make sure to watch it several times when we're at WDW, and we all know the music and know when everything happens, so we're singing along the whole time and probably looking really weird, haha. It always makes me happy, though. This is cheesey, but I also very clearly remember watching it with my family, one of my best friends from high school, and my then boyfriend on the last night of our marching band trip senior year, 2 months before graduation... even though that guy and I eventually broke up, it's just one of my favorite memories.

Great, now I really really wanna go to WDW right now.

:lmao: Illuminations is my favorite nighttime spectacular ever! I bought the soundtrack back in 2005 and I listen to it all the time and cry and cry and cry :rotfl: It's SO beautiful, and I'm telling you... "Promise" will be played at my wedding. I LOVE THAT SONG!

I love being one of the only people walking around poncho-less and just enjoying the rain (heck, I even sit on the wet benches!).

haha i ADORE wdw in the rain. i think its the best time to walk around and enjoy things. i have to say, this last time my boyfriend gave me a new camera (i'm into photography) on the same night that it poured in the magic kingdom, so i was one of those poor people running for cover with a poncho wrapped not around them, but around their camera! but typically rain is my favorite thing in florida. coming from CT, it doesnt feel cold at all, only refreshing!

another favorite thing I have to add: the song 'walking right down the middle of main street usa'. i dont even know if thats the actual title, but I have a sing-along tape when i was little that had this song on it and i lived for it. even now when i go and see them singing this or hear it played in the parks, i have to smile!

i'm guilty of listening to Sorceror Radio on live365 when I have the Disney blues, and hearing the music always perks me right up!!

only 6 more months to go.......ugh!

I LOVED that tape! The "Disneyland Fun" Sing-Along tape right? My brother and I used to watch it all the time, and when we gave my little cousin all of our Sing-Along tapes I had to keep that one for the memories :lmao: When I was little I used to get so scared at the "Grim Grinning Ghosts" part and wonder how anyone could possibly be brave enough to go through the Haunted Mansion :rotfl:

Does anyone have the Sam Wright Disney World sing-along tapes? I don't think they were actually Sing-Along brand tapes, but it was Am Wright (the voice of Sebastian the Crab) singing reggae songs with a bunch of kids around Disney World. I also had to keep those... those are some FUN songs!

I remember those tapes!! I used to love them. I believe I still have them somewhere, probably in the basement where all my kid stuff is, haha

I can't wait to go back to Disney... I'm going on the Cruise this summer, and we are staying in WDW for a few days afterwards!

Oh, and you know your a real Disney dork when you are planning to do a research paper on the Walt Disney Cartoons of the World War 2 era, and how they were propagandic. haha :)

I LOVE how at MGM evening EMH, they blast all these disney remixes on hollywood blvd. and in the sorcerer's hat area. One of my fave memories was on my HS grad trip with one of my best friends, singing, dancing and rockin' out to the music cuz it was like 1 in the morning and not that many people were around to see us anyway! :lmao:

Been there, done that! :rotfl: I did a project on the Disney WWII cartoons for a history class in high school. I even convinced my teacher to let us spend a class watching the propaganda cartoons, since I got the DVD from the library! :lmao: Don't you love when you can incorporate Disney at school??

That's so fun! :lmao: In high school I took a business management class and I had to start my own business so my friend Glenn and I started our own travel agency and our final paper was on how to plan a trip to Disney World! :rotfl:
