Suitcases are packed, boarding passes are printed, toes are painted, I'm ready to rock!!!

V, I'm so happy that Fay avoided you completley! I flew down the stairs and checked NOAA, and looks like Fay didn't pack the punch they expected. TE, our resident voice of reason, said she knew it wouldn't.

Kate, drive safely! (I know I keep repeating this! )

The car picks us up at 6:30pm tonight. I"ll check in tonight before I leave. Have a great day everyone!

That's right I'm free, free at last, I am on vacay!!!!!!!!!

I am officially under the 36 hour mark until Kelly and I leave for the airport.

Though I may stop tomorrow to get a few extra ponchos

I can see that my posts are going to be of the "DRIVE BY" variety up until this trip....

Ok, so today I:

1. got my hair "did" (cut/color and brows done)
2. got the groceries to make all the meals the kids will need while we are gone. saving the sitter the irritation of cooking!!
3. made appts. for both boys yearly physicals
4. paid some bills
5. did all the laundry (including folding and putting away) thus clearing the way for packing!
6. filled out all paperwork for both boys schools so we're ready to roll when I get home!
7. called the "emergency #" people I listed for sitter and made sure it was cool with them!

I feel like I actually accomplished something today! Tomorrow I will:

1. pack (finally!)
2. mop/vacuum upstairs and bathrooms
3. pay the kid to mow
4. get $$$ for sitter and for kids (for pizza, etc)
5. grab some movies from video store for kids/sitter
6. call my mom and Bob's and let them know we're leaving Friday!

SO, it's really happening! I can't believe it.

Hope V, Kate and LL get there safely in their cars. And T too, flying in! I think Lessa and Janet are all set now?

Keep praying Fockers! I need a vacation and things need to GOMYWAY.

Well, here I am. Sitting here all dressed up with nowhere to go. Well, not really no where to go. But I am dressed and ready to leave for the airport. But our ride's not here for another hour or so. So I decided to get these last few minutes of DISing in whilst I can.

Oh, and I started my trip report, but I haven't posted it, yet.

Hi everyone!!! Well all is well, Fay hardly did anything in Miami. My internet died (not due to the storm) so I wasn't able to check in.

Anyway, it was just rain and slight wind. No big deal, we've had rain storms that were worse. Too much overreaction, but that comes with the territory of living in S. Florida.

Anyway, V! Can you believe the turn the storm made? You can tell it's a female storm, she doesn't seem to know where to go. Or maybe a man is driving and didn't want to pull over for directions.

Anyone who's left or leaving, I hope you all have safe trips!!! :

I wonder if Kat has arrived in one piece. She was flying into Tampa right?

I texted Kat yesterday. She arrived safely and with no problems. She said the day was absolutely beautiful and hot, so all was well in the Motherland yesterday.

I have 1 more day and am off to Fockerfest!!!!!!

Well it looks like I'm one of the last, just printed the boarding passes. Kelly and I leave for the airport 5 am tomorrow.

Rest of today will be finish cleaning the house, laundry and then spending time with Ryan since he leaves for college Sat. Then get Kelly and try and get some sleep.
