If you can get to Houston, you can ride the people mover! My summer vacation options are expanding...
Actually I can catch a really cheap direct flight to Dallas and the kids and I have never been to Texas, might be fun!![]()
That's a cool bit of trivia! If you can get to Houston, you can ride the people mover!
Walt Disney Imagineering built a transportation system for the airport based on the People Mover at the Magic Kingdom.

Remember. This is the state that just had a massive power outage and people living with no water or electric for a good period of time. Is this the state we really want to use as an example of what to do with the pandemic?
Oooh. I love conspiracy theories.
What will be interesting is how easily people adapt to a non-restricted, non-masked existence. My daughter had a volleyball tournament in the middle of nowhere last weekend and the town was like a time warp to 2019. Nobody wore masks. I was so uncomfortable. I’m sure it’s going to take me awhile to feel like walking around without a mask and sitting shoulder to shoulder watching kid sports is a normal occurrence.
It’s like closing your umbrella during a rainstorm because you’re not getting wet.Starting next week Governor Abbott is opening Texas 100% and lifting the mask mandate.

People over the age of 18 work in schools as teachers, principals, lunch staff, janitors, etc. Kids often bring illnesses home from school, infecting parents.Since January 1st, 2020, 35,478 children under the age of 18 died in America.
204 of them were from Covid.
No school, no sports, no friends....
For what? Is the damage we are doing to our youth worth the extremely minimal risk?
Are you purposely misunderstanding this? An umbrella keeps you dry in the rain. Closing the umbrella because you’re dry doesn’t mean it’s not raining anymore. Meaning, take away the protection of the umbrella in the storm and you’re going to get wet. You’ll only stay dry if you leave it open. Why would you have your umbrella open if you’re not getting wet? Unless maybe you’re inside? In which case it’s bad luck to open an umbrella indoors.

I’ve personally never been a fan of all or nothing but good luck to Texas.
Once again...
Just because the parachute has slowed your descent, you don't take it off.
A good portion of my family live in the Houston area. My sister, aunt, cousins have all had it and recovered. An Uncle passed away from COVID last year. So In no way do I not take this seriously.
But remember 2 weeks to break the curve? Then the new normal. I know many people that will NEVER be comfortable again without a mask or being around people.
At some point you have to get back to living though.
Sure. If you had an umbrella made of lace. It’s like closing your umbrella during a rainstorm because you’re not getting wet.
