I'm just curious to know if there are any Texans out there who have actually received any of these discount codes requiring PINs. Anyone?

We have never received a post card in our name, but we have received several post cards at our house for some friends of ours who live about 20 minutes away. They went to Disney in March and we received their postcards in late March and mid-April. Have no idea how Disney would link the two of us together to send their mail to my house.

Don't know how familiar you are with the Dallas area, but we are in Rowlett and they are in Murphy.

My in-laws have always found their discount code in the newspaper. Usually offereing a huge savings to Texas residents only. $49 a night for a value and $69 a night for a moderate.

Hi neighbor! (In Texas, any two points under 100 miles apart are considered "close.") I'm from Van, approximately 80 miles east of Dallas (just off I-20), so I've definitely heard of Rowlett.

If you or your inlaws find any fall discount codes in the paper, please PM me! I don't receive the Dallas paper, so I won't hear about it unless I just accidentally stumble across the info.

That postcard situation you have is really strange! I'm just happy to hear that some Texans do indeed receive these. I've mostly noticed folks in the east posting about such offers.

I will certainly keep you in mind.

Hello, we are from Texas as well and have never received a postcard. We have not received an e-mail rate for that matter either. Oh-well. Maybe someday.

We rec'd a postcard right after we returned from our June trip and just rec'd the e-mail as well. My first time to ever rec either one.

We've never received anything either, and we've gone every year since 2000. Maybe that's why (we're already hooked)!;)
We live in McKinney. (I can't remember if it says so in my avatar).

Way down here in very south Texas, we've never received a post card here at home-but then lots of people think of this area as Mexico, not Texas. However, DH did receive a postcard at work once-addressed to me! Nine years ago he surprised me with a solo trip and in order to keep me from opening Disney mail, he had all the info sent to his work address. That must be how Disney had the info. Then a few years later, I got a post card there. However, we've never gotten a post card here at home.

Bytheblood, just wondering- is your tag a reference to the book about Heaven, Texas?

DFW area here and I received the email sent on Friday. I have an AP and am a DVC owner but have never received a postcard before.

Killeen/Ft Hood here. We went to WDW last month and I just recieved an email 2 days ago for the Oct-Dec timeframe, however I got the same rate for Pop through a castmember friend for our Oct trip.

My sister lives in Corsicana and received a postcard with a special rate about 2 years ago. We have gone to WDW often since 1994 and have never received a postcard with special rates.

Wow - Harlingen, TX! I've not thought about Harlingen in years! When I was young, my church youth group made a trip there to help build a Spanish mission, and we led VBS during the morning for the kiddos in that neighborhood. (I was actually just a "kiddo" myself - 5th grade.) I remember it being very hot, and there were a lot of banana trees. We made a trip across the border for shopping and spent some time at the beach one afternoon...we had a great time!

As for the postcard - I can honestly say that the only postcard I've ever received from Disney is for a stay at the Hilton Head DVC resort.

Sounds like Disney does not like us Texans too much.

Perhaps they think we can't make it to the mailbox in time to get the postcard seein's how we all ride on horses 'n all. Perhaps they think our big ol' hats will get in the way of our seein' or it may blow away with a tumble weed and get stuck in a cactus out on a Prarie plane? :scratchin :confused3

Sorry, just had to throw that stereotypical humor in there since American TV portrays the Lone Star State that way!!

Hi
We live in the Conroe area ( just north of Houston). We have never received and email or postcard.

Hi Texans, my mother recieved an e-mail on Friday for the Oct. - Dec. rates. She has not been to WDW in about 20 years. I think the less you say you go, maybe the better chance of getting a discout postcard or e-mail. I have not gotten a postcard or e-mail, but I have been quite a few times. We were able to use mom's since we are all going in early Dec.

I think you are right. Although I'm confused why so many people who were just there got one.

Another Central Texan here. I live in Killeen. Last April I got a post card with a code. It was before our trip in June. I ended up getting an AP rate instead, but it was a nice deal. This is the first time I got a card. I go every year and always have an AP. We don't always stay at the Disney resorts, we tend to stay at the Swan a lot.

HOWDY and YEEHAW to all my neighbors! We're in Duncanville and have never received a post card or e-mail. I have gotten some things in the mail about planning my vacation and I received two confirmations in the mail. I do get the Dallas Morning News, but only on Sunday.

 We are in Seguin, a suburbof san Antonio. We have not received a card or email either. perhaps if ANY OF YOU see an ad for Texans if you would be willing to post it we could all benefit. Thanks, Guys.:earsgirl:
