I just got home from a week long stay in WDW, and I had a great experience with Tevas. It seems that no matter what type of shoes I wear or DIS tips I try, I always wind up with blisters on both feet. However, after a week of wearing Tevas and using Bodyglide on my heels (where I always get blisters), I came home blister free. Two huge thumbs up for Tevas and Bodyglide!

I second, third and Fourth the Tevas and bodyglide....me, DH and DS all wore our Tevas with bodyglide on our last trip....not one single blister in 10 park days from open to close..that says a lot!

Thank you for posting this! I just purchased Tevas for our upcoming trip and was hoping it wasn't a mistake. This eases my mind some. :)

I too just purchased a pair of Teva Pretty Rugged Nylon sandals for my upcoming trip, and was trying to break them in with socks. I also have the bodyglide, so will definitely be using that with them...I have fallen in love with my new Crocs so not sure if I will use the Tevas or not! ;)

We love Tevas! We wore them last summer at WDW for 10+ days and we didn't get blisters. I did get blisters from cheap water shoes at Blizzard Beach, but the Tevas were PERFECT for all of us.

For my next trip, I'm packing both Tevas and Crocs.

what is bodyglide?

Bodyglide is like a deoderant stick that creates a barrier on the skin to let anything that comes in contact with it glide rather then rub.

It's avail in most running shops or outdoor stores.

It stops chaffing in the thigh area and works just great on the feet with or without socks.

DD uses it with her board shorts and I use it with my Keens .I never had a blister just wanted more of a smooth feel and prevent them from coming.

I called my local Sports Authority a few minutes ago to check on their stock of Bodyglide, and they only had one left! Can you believe.. I put a stick of Bodyglide on hold. :rotfl:

DH and I are taking our Crocs, which haven't given us any blister problems in the past, but I figure will keep things even smoother than normal. :)

I thought Bodyglide was something you could buy anwhere they sell deorderant. Was I mistaken? Can you only get it at sports stores? Has anyone ever rubbed it on the sides of your big and little toes and under your toes? That's where I have the most trouble with rubbing.

No you cannot get it just anywhere, ONLY Sports Stores! I had to order mine on line thru Drugstore.com. Yes, you can put it on the bottom and in between the toes, it works great. :thumbsup2 I get a blister on the bottom of my toes sometimes, and it worked great. :teeth:

That's also my secret to no more blisters!!

Teva Pretty Rugged Leather AND Bodyglide. I've been doing both since at least 2004 with complete success. :cool1: Before that I had a blister on every single trip.

I also use Bodyglide for chafing between my legs and it works GREAT!

You can also get Bodyglide at camping shops like REI and Eastern Mountain.

Is it different than any personal lubricant?? I know that's a bit personal... ;)

Yes, its a bit different. Personal lubricant is more slippery and Bodyglide is more like a deoderant stick. Not quite as slippery.

There is another great product that works like Bodyglide for blisters, called Blistershield, and that has more of the personal lubricant texture to it but it also works great for blisters and chafing.

I think they both work great though.
