I know this forum is not for speculation, so let’s keep this to facts. On my cruise’s FB page, someone posted that he read yesterday that Disney is now following other cruise lines and requiring testing within 72 hours of boarding. I have asked for the article, but he has not responded on FB yet. Has anyone else seen this in writing? I sail in a week and assume DCL would have emailed us to notify of any boarding changes, but seeing how many problems they’re having with the update, maybe things are behind.

What I saw posted in a big fb group was a woman (whose DH tested positive) said that their shuttle driver told her that testing requirements would be changing in “a week or so.” This was yesterday. So people started to speculate that it meant 72 pre-testing. But nothing official from Disney.

Is the theory that this would be in lieu of port testing, or in addition?

I saw the same post and took it with a big vat of salt like most bus/shuttle driver “scoop.”

What people were saying is that DCL would be following CDC guidelines of testing 72 hours before on your own like the other cruise are doing. So no testing at the port. But I don’t know how a shuttle driver would know any of this…

Thanks everyone! I assumed it was gossip based but there have been many glitches since the update earlier this week and I was making sure I didn’t miss something.

We sail on the 19th and it would really suck if we missed this notification! 😂

What I saw posted in my FB group was someone posting that someone else had their husband test positive at the port, and the testing people told them it was changing next week (not a shuttle driver). It's like the same story, but every time I hear it it changes a little bit. Gigantic rumour mill at this point, I feel like if it was changing within the next week Disney would have said something since all those cruising would need to find a way to test before comein for their cruise, especially since many tack on extra days at Disney or at least fly in early.
