We are going in mid May and trying to fit it Soarn, Frozen, and Test Track along with other rides and activities. However knowing that all these are on the same tier level for FP+ we decided to RD Soarn then go directly to Bay Max, do The Seas area, then head to Test Track and ride as single riders. We would FP+ Frozen in the afternoon. My question is how long would the single rider line for Test Track be in mid to late morning be?

Have fun!

How many in your group?

This applies to larger groups and busier crowd times:
If each of you will do the SRL, then it will require EACH of you to wait for the others to complete the ride before you
will be finished. That can add time to your TT visit, both before and after the ride.

Guests 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 all enter SRL and wait together through the line.

Guest 1 gets on a car and rides.
Guests 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 wait until next available seat.
Guest 1 ride is complete. Now waits for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in the post-area.

Guest 2 gets on a car and rides.
Guests 3, 4, 5, 6 wait until next available seat.
Guest 2 ride is complete. Now waits for 3, 4, 5, 6 in the post-area.

Guest 3 gets on a car and rides.
Guests 4, 5, 6 wait until next available seat.
Guest 3 ride is complete. Now waits for 4, 5, 6 in the post-area.

Guest 4 gets on a car and rides.
Guests 5, 6 wait until next available seat.
Guest 4 ride is complete. Now waits for 5, 6 in the post-area.

Guest 5 gets on a car and rides.
Guest 6 waits until next available seat.
Guest 5 ride is complete. Now waits for 6 in the post-area.

Guest 6 gets on a car and rides.
Guest 6 ride is complete. Now all are finished.

Larger groups using SRL can take longer than it first appears.

Maybe. But often two single riders end up in the same car, and very often single riders are pulled for several cars in the loading area. Six people could potentially all load in the same "batch." Happens all the time. I'd guesstimate that "rider 1" will wait no longer than 5-7 min at the end for the rest of the riders to come out.

We did Single Rider during President's Day week and it was about 25 minutes. Much shorter than the Stand By! We did it just before Illuminations (we missed the very beginning of Illuminations but the kids were happy to get another ride on TT). My 12 year old was in a car by himself, my 10 year old and my mom ended up in a car together, I was in a car by myself, and my husband was in a car by himself. It was totally fine.

I rope dropped Test Track over presidents day weekend. We got to the park at 8am for a 9am open, went straight to TT and rode. Had maybe a 15-20 min wait since some people want to run to the ride instead of quickly walk. By the time we got out I checked the app and Soarin was at a 55 min wait. Wayyy too long for us in my book, but not terrible.

So while the 3rd theater has helped Soarin out a lot, I wouldn't do TT then except a 10 min wait at Soarin

That's why it was a 55 minute wait.

Every time we have rope dropped TT it was down. We no longer rope drop that because it really throws a wrench in our plans. We are bad luck for that ride. (Same story with rockin rollercoaster).

And, with me, its Expedition Everest at DAK.

That is typically our AK rope drop and that has not yet happened! We will be hitting AK for the first time this summer since Pandora has opened so not sure of what we will rope drop. Maybe the river ride. Haven’t figured out our plans yet. Just know we won’t do TT or Rockin rollercoaster as a rope drop ever again.

It's really hard to tell with the single rider lines. More times than not, it's going to be a shorter wait than the regular line (but not always the FP line). My husband and I have done the single rider line at TT last spring and I think we waited 30-40 mins? But that was the longest we've waited in the single rider line for TT. I say either go with the plan you have then stand in the single rider line at TT and sort of feel it out for the wait, or go to TT after bay max and do nemo and the sea area afterwards.

I’ve had great luck with the EE single rider. I’ve been able to ride a couple times in 15 minutes total.

It helps that the entrance for the single rider line at Everest is kind of hidden away. I waited less than 5 minutes on Christmas Day in 2016 when the standby wait was around an hour.

Same here. Been to the park three times now and still have not ridden it! Hopefully we will get our chance this time around lol!!
You have over 2000 comments, how have you only been to AK 3 times :) It is a great park and now with FoP currently has the best ride so be sure you check that out.

I have a Disney Addiction and am a avid planner lol!! trust me FOP is high on our list lol!!I have actually only been to Disney World 4 times in my life. One was in 2000 and I do not think the ride was open then. Believe it or not because of those 2000 comments I have successfully reached my goals each of those trips and for the most part things ran very smoothly!! I love these boards!! Most of the time the people on here know far more than the CM'S lol!!

Yes you are better off getting info here than at the parks, especially as much of that information is more useful months in advance of the trip as opposed to getting it while there. Assuming that pic that says you are just over 70 days from arriving and beach club (which is awesome by the way with the pool and international gateway entrance - we will be there very early June) make sure you are prepared to get that FoP fast pass and understand that it is easier to get towards the end of your trip as opposed to day 1.

On the question in your original post, single rider is unpredictable, but at least they post a clear SR wait time at the entrance to Test Track. During our late January trip, we saw the SR wait time jump right from 5 minutes to 25 minutes at around 6:30 pm, when we were entering with FP and briefly debating whether to use SR instead of FP.

If you will be at Epcot in the evening, our experience was that Test Track and Soarin' were both fairly easy 4th FPs, as long as you didn't want them right away. So at 11 am, there were tons of times starting as early as 5 pm. Even at 5pm - 6pm, we were seeing lots of TT and Soarin' from 7:30 or later.

This was on a Friday CL5 and a Tuesday CL4, and obviously there are no guarantees. But if you rope drop Soarin', FP Frozen in the late morning, and then start refreshing for Test Track, that will probably work great.

We rope dropped TT on our first day because that was the #1 ride our boys wanted to do on our week-long trip. We got to Epcot at 8:15 am, went belly up to the internal rope, waited until 9 am when the rope dropped, and walked quickly over to Test Track. Test Track was down!! CMs gave us no warning until we got right up to the ride entrance. We hustled over to Soarin' and didn't get to the entrance until 9:14, got off the ride at 9:42, as we were behind all of the later rope drop people. It was a completely dry day, and TT was operating by 9:45 am (with a long wait), so we have no idea what the problem was.

This is why people tell you not to rope drop TT. Soarin' has multiple theaters so it is a safer bet. It ended up not being a big deal - we rode TT four times during the week, all with 4th/5th FPs - but it was a deflating way to start the trip for our boys. We had bad luck with rope drop throughout our trip, but 4th/5th/6th FPs worked great for us.

I think the late January crowds were savvy to rope drop but not fully aware of the FP refresh/modify strategy. In general, the parks felt less crowded at 7 pm compared to 10 am.
