I'm very disappointed to see that Test Track is down for refurb all days of my next WDW trip. Not only does this mean I'll miss a ride I have yet to ride on (and was hoping to go for the first time now that my DD is big enough) but also that Soaring will be extra busy.

Does anyone know if they usually pull rides out of refurb early? Or do they normally use all the days they set aside in the schedule. What's the best way to find out on a certain day if the ride is still in refurb or is back working? Is there a number I can call to ask?

Thanks for any advice.

Well, they usually stick to the posted schedule.

But TEST TRACK has been especially problematic ever since it opened.
The state-of-the-art "cars" and the complex ride-path have always been subject to break-downs, shut-downs, and slow-downs for the life of the ride. As I recall, TEST TRACK missed its earliest scheduled "Premiere Date" by a year or two!!!
SO... I would not expect to see TT back up for the public sooner than posted.

BTW, the "Rocket Rods" at Disneyland used the same drive-system as the TT cars.
That ride had so many "outages" that after spending $$$$$$ on it, Disneyland simply took it apart and shut it down after about a year of its "go/no-go" existence.
It was a SHAME because Rocket Rods was a SPECTACULARLY FUN ride!!!
They took the "trams" off of the People Mover (similar to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in MK) and, instead installed individual futuristic RACE CARS that ZOOMED around that complex track with you aboard, "sitting 20 feet above the crowd" with no railings!

GREAT... when they could get it to WORK!
AWFUL... when it STOPPED with you aboard, "sitting 20 feet above the crowd" with no railings!
:scared1:
