test track or soarin' for a first timer

Soarin...and make sure you ask for row B1...top and center...they will let you wait for it...just one cycle so not long...

I would also go on TT...my youngest loves it...better than soarin in his opinion

Another vote here for Soarin'. I think it would be a great icebreaker. Its very gentle. TT is kind of jerky. Good luck for her first ride!

I agree with everyone else and do Soarin first, especially since you will be going on a very busy day. After RD head straight over to Soarin and get a FP then go into the standby line. Even if your DD doesn't like Soarin and won't want to ride it again later with your FPs, you could always give away your FPs to some other family that is trying to ride the ride (great act of kindness and you will feel really good about yourself doing this). After Soarin, head straight over to TT and get a FP first, if you are allowed to do this (check your Soarin FP at the bottom to see when the next time you can get another one) and then go right into the standby line. Both of my girls loved both of these 2 rides from the first time that they could ride them. Soarin is a lot more gentler, but your DD (if she is a dare devil) will really enjoy the ride up and even though TT is more jerky, she should still have loads of fun. Have a great time and good luck :goodvibes

fyi - Soarin' was my DS's first "big boy" ride, he had just turned 4. He cried through the whole thing and refused to try it again because it scared him so badly.

On the other hand, he, loved Test Track and couldn't get enough of it. We had to ride it several times.

I think it was the raising of the seats and the height that really scared him.

Of the two, my own opinion is that Soarin is less scary, but from, at least, my own kid's perspective, Soarin was scarier. This from the same little boy who insisted on riding Dinosaur and ToT twice. :confused3

My 4yo DS HATED Soarin' ... found out the hard way last trip that he doesn't like heights! However it is a gentle ride if the height is not an issue.

He screamed like a little girl on Test Track.... but then said it was his favorite ride and is what he talks about most when we talk about our upcoming trip this summer (he will have just turned 5).
