Test Track Lightning Lane

I was hoping to get Test Track earlier in the day, but the only time available is 7 pm this Saturday.

Is it likely an earlier time will open up? I'm keeping it booked at 7 but was hoping to knock the rides out first, then transition to World Showcase for food/drinks in the evening before the fireworks. I'm still kind of new to the LL process.

That happens a lot with Test Track earlier Lightning Lane times do pop up as people change plans, so I’d keep checking Modify whenever you have a minute. If nothing opens up, 7pm still works well since the standby line often eases a bit later in the day.

@JM_97 just to add to this great comment from @davidrw about TT LLMP times opening up on the day of your Epcot visit. The system drops additional LLMP inventory for TT during the morning right around 9 AM & multiple times in the afternoon hours.

You can see the times of these additional drops for TT at the great Thrill-data.com site at this link: https://www.thrill-data.com/lightning-lane/wdw/popup#testtrack just click on the Show Morning / Afternoon Times buttons to see the specific items that additional LLMP are added for TT.

I have not had great luck with trying to modify times.
While they sometimes appear to pop up, they are sometimes like phantoms. Even if I'm very quick, they disappear faster than they can be booked. It is kind of frustrating.

You might get lucky though.

Also know that MDE is a battery hog. the more you refresh, the more your phone gets drained, and the more you are giving your day over to MDE, instead of just enjoying being in WDW. I never use a back up battery outside of WDW, not even at Universal, but usually need to recharge mid-day at WDW. There's a trade-off.

Where LLMP tends to work better is in MK.

They really need to fix the app defaulting to MK when trying to get new LL.

But if modifying for same attraction it stays at the top luckily. I am have had very successful LL days by modifying. I just hate how much it makes me need to be on my phone while there.

As @Dave006 mentioned earlier, Test Track has about 20 additional release times each day. The return time is usually about 30-45 minutes after the release.

Just be ready when these drops occur. The times are reliable and the passes go very quickly.

Also keep in mind that the grace period has been extended to 2 hours after the return window ends. So if you happen to get a pass with an inconvenient return time you do have plenty of time to arrive at the attraction.

If you don’t have to ride together & can’t get the LL you want, give SR a shot. (If the line is inside the building but you can see the line entrance bail, if not I’d give it a shot.)
