ocm - r u a picky eater? if it's not coconut or liver, i'm there.:thumbsup2

Who me?:confused3 :confused3 :lmao:

yeah, I'm pretty picky. I like boneless skinless chicken with cheese as a sandwich or by itself, not any fried chicken or boned chicken at all. Once in a while I'll eat a hamburger, although I tend to eat more of them in Disney. I like cream sauce pastas, but I rarely eat those. I do like salad, some fruit, and fajitas and quesadillas, with no peppers. That's really it for food.

I ONLY drink water. When I'm out, I'll drink a coke, but at home it's only water. I hate all juices, teas, coffee and milk. I have never had alcohol.

I generally don't eat everyday..I tend to eat more on the weekends.

Hello again my friends....finally settling down, the heat is messed up at work, so we all whining about being cold...and just the usual talk on Monday morning about how everyone's weekend went...

Yep, it is supposed to be colder yet tomorrow here:scared1: Mac, you are the WINNER....and for winning today dear lady, you will be rewarded with keeping your cold weather all to yourself!! We've missed you, where ya been? You can't run and hide like that, we start thinking something is wrong.

Good luck on SB Pam & Dave...let me tell you, if you follow the principals of it, you will lose...and it's not a hard lifestyle of eating to stick with after you've lost the weight. I weighed in this morning and since I had scale shock last week :headache: and buckled down, I've lost 4 lbs.!! YAY me, now about 5 more to get back to my original weight loss...I feel I can do it. A couple times this weekend I was so tempted to have something that I shouldn't, and I didn't eat it, that is such a good feeling. Yep, we can all compare notes and keep each other encouraged! I'm not into losing alot right now, just getting off those creeper pounds and back to maintaining. It's my own fault for slipping into bad habits, and of course my job is not condusive to losing weight, too much time on my tushie all day.;)

Momma, a picky eater:rolleyes1 LOL....

KS, I agree, fried is the best way to eat anything, but also the worst as far as being healthy....life is a you know what ain't it??

Jan 19th Part 2
We went to ride Buzz Lightyear. While we were splitting up who was riding with who, Tony asked Nico, “Are you riding with me or your mom?”

“I want to ride with Julie by ourselves.” Nico whined.

“No, you can’t ride by yourselves you need an adult with you” Tony was telling him

“Yes I can .” Nico said very rudely. “Mom can Julie and I ride by ourselves?”

“Yes, as long as Dad sits in front of you and I sit right behind you.” I answered. Looking back, I should not have undermined what Tony had just told him, especially with how extremely rude Nico spoke to him. Sorry TVT. In all honesty, I wasn’t really thinking clearly. I am the worst person for making decisions and trying to decide whether to call my mom was a big decision for me.

We walked out of Buzz and saw that they were going to let people in for a preview of the new comedy act for Mike Wizosky. We had to wait about 15 minutes. I went to change Samantha, and talked some more about what to do about Saturday night.

“You know where I have really wanted to eat at? Portobello’s at Downtown Disney.” I was telling Lee.

“Can your mom pay for that meal? I mean, we should really do something that she will pay for” Lee said.

“Oh I have no idea, but even if she can’t it would be cheaper than $200.” I said casually, trying not to cringe at what he was hinting at.

I used Lee’s phone and called. The menu didn’t sound appealing to me as she was reading it off, but she did say that they would try to accommodate me as best they could. She was actually very sweet.

“Don’t forget to ask if your mom can pay for it.” Lee was whispering. I asked, and she said that they do that often. People often want to treat others for their birthdays or anniversaries. It really sounded nice, but I just wasn’t sure.

“I need to look at the actual menu,” I was telling the guys when I got off, “but that is a possibility.”

“But your mom can pay for it, right?” Lee asked, “You better call your mom and tell her all of this.”

PLEASE! Stop asking me that!! I was shouting at him in my head. I was really getting frustrated with him. It wasn’t entirely fair, Lee has always been like that so I should really be used to it by now. I shouldn’t have been as agitated with him as I was. As crazy as it was, I felt really protective of my mom right then too. I know she offered to pay , so I really shouldn’t have felt the way I did. I can’t explain why, :confused3 but I really felt like he was taking advantage of her.

“What about Gulliver’s?” Tony asked.

"Yeah, i will defiantely check out the menu there. I think the last time Lee and I and the kids were there, we all ate something." I said thinking back.

“Can your mom prepay Shula’s?” Lee said laughing.

“Yeah right” :sad2: I sighed as I rolled my eyes ignoring him. “I really need to look at a menu before I commit to anything.” I was telling them

“If you really don’t want to eat at the Castle, then I would just go ahead and cancel it to make sure your mom gets her refund. But you need to work that out with your mom. I’m staying out of it.” Lee said.

The comedy show opened and we went inside. Nico was thrilled to be seeing it. The hallway that you walk through before you get to the theater is really well detailed. All of the pictures have really funny sayings on them. We sat in one of the front rows and the show began. Some of it was good, but a lot of it needed work. However, Nico laughed his butt off in it. He really loved that show.:lmao:

When we got out, each of us got a front of the line pass to any ride in the park, whether it has a fast pass line or not. This ended up being an amazing gift. We just didn’t realize it then how much we would need it.

We got out , took the kids to the bathroom and Lee went to get snacks. I sent Tony ahead with Nico to get a good spot in front of the Castle to watch Mickey‘s Dreams Come True show, while I waited for Lee. While I was sitting there, my phone rang. It was my mom.

I had a long talk with her about all the dinning concerns. I said, “I am sure you put a lot of time and effort into doing all of this and I am extremely grateful, but I don’t really want you to spend $40 for a hot dog and all that money in general on a meal. “

“Yes, I did put a lot of time into it. I was back and forth on the phone with Lee and Disney trying to book it.” She was saying. “What about the cake? If you cancel, don’t forget to call and cancel the cake too.”

“What cake?” I asked.

“We ordered a cake for you personalized and they were going to bring it to the castle that night. I told Lee to go ahead and order it and I would just pay him back. I don’t think it’s been paid for yet, but you need to cancel that., too.” She explained.

“Wow mom, that really was very nice of you.” I really was grateful.

“I can never get you.” My mom was saying, a little frustrated with me, “I tried to throw you a surprise birthday party while you were here, but you left too soon. Then, there was the whole thing with you not showing up at your surprise baby shower, now you find out about the castle. Not to mention that I really wanted to take you to Disneyland for your birthday, but you scheduled your trip to Disney World.”

“Yeah, I guess I am not a good person to try to throw a Surprise anything for, huh?” I said laughing as I remember calling her the day of my surprise baby shower, and leaving her a message telling her I wasn’t up to driving an hour away. She had to call me back and tell me that it was my surprise baby shower, everyone was going to be there, and I had to get my butt out of that house and drive the hour. My poor mom.

“Alright, well, I want you to do whatever you want. There was another thing, the Spirit of Aloha or something, that I could have prepaid, but none of the other restaurants would let me do that. Those were the only two in Disney that I could do.” She sounded exasperated and I really felt bad. “But it’s your birthday and I want you to do whatever you want.” She added.

“Mom, thank you. I know how hard it is to book the castle for any meal and I am sure that was the only time you could get. I really think the kids would be so grouchy if we tried to hold out feeding them dinner at 8. I just need to think about it some more.” I said as heartfelt as I could. I hate hurting people’s feelings especially my mom’s.:guilty:

TVT had tried calling me twice while I was on the phone with my mom. I didn’t mean to be that long, but we are all motor mouths. I started walking that way, while I was still on the phone.

“Well, I hope you have a Happy Birthday,” my mom was saying, “ can I talk to the kids?”

“I’m really sorry mom, but we are just about to watch a show that is really loud and the kids won’t really be able to hear you.” I was trying to explain as I felt more guilt about the dinner and on top of that she couldn’t even talk to her grandkids. Sorry mom:guilty:

“Where have you been?” Tvt asked as I walked up

“I’m really sorry. I was talking to my mom.” I think that was all the explanation he needed since he nodded and finished watching the show.

When the show ended, we realized that we had to hurry to get to Epcot. We had Dinner reservations at Alfredo’s (my favorite Disney restaurant) at 6pm and we were cutting it close. We got on the Monorail and I decided to go ahead and cancel the Castle. I just couldn’t justify all the money being spent on top of the fact that my kids just can’t hold out for dinner that long.

We got to Epcot and Nico was very whiny. His legs were hurting and he was tired. I also have a feeling he was hungry, but I didn’t say that.

“We could take a boat over to Italy instead of walking through all the different countries,” I suggested.

“You guys can do whatever you want. I’m going to walk ahead to get the reservation.” Lee said. He went on ahead and we walked with the kids.

We finally were seated , trying to figure out what we were going to order.

“I’m really not hungry,” Tony was saying, “So, I don’t think I am going to eat anything.”

I looked at the menu and saw that they had an Appetizer order of Fettuccine. I suggested letting me get that and Lee could get an entrée. Lee said the most appealing thing on the menu to him was the Calamari, so he wanted to order that for an appetizer. That was fine, I ended up ordering the Trio combo or whatever, you can get three different pastas. I subbed out one of the pastas for Fettuccine and we got the kids their food and Lee got a bowl of spaghetti.

When our food arrived everything looked delicious. Now, I had just eaten earlier that day, so I really wasn’t starving. However, this is one of my favorite foods and I had been really looking forward to eating here, especially since I found out Wolfgang puck stopped serving their Fondue.

I was sitting on the end, with Samantha and Julie on my side. Nico was sitting next to Tony with Lee on the other side of him. Tony and I started cutting the kids food. I cut Samantha’s first, then I started cutting Julie’s when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I looked to see Lee had taken a bite of one of my cream sauce pastas, decided he didn’t like it and proceeded to put the rest of the bite back on my plate.

I was mad. I know it’s just food and it’s dumb to get mad about something like this, but I was really mad. It wasn’t like I didn’t want my food, I hadn’t gotten to it yet because I was cutting the girls food. Please, let me take a bite off my plate before you dig into it. Eat your food that is right in front of you before you start eating mine. I was shouting in my head as I watched him take a bite of the lasagna off my plate. In all fairness, this might not have gotten me mad if he hadn’t rubbed me the wrong way earlier. I rarely get that annoyed with one person through out an entire day.

I finished cutting Julie’s food and I went to eat my food. I felt bad for Tony. I know he said he wasn’t hungry, but I hated him just sitting there not eating anything while we all ate.

“Here I know you aren’t a huge fan, but I really don’t want the Lasagna , so if you want it, please feel free to eat it.” I pleaded with him.

BAM! Lee’s fork dove right into the lasagna for the second time. I shot Lee a look. I was fuming. :furious: Honest, I don’t have any idea if it was me or him, but I never get like this. I had to stand up to him in some way. I simply took the lasagna off my plate and put it onto a plate for Tony. TVT didn’t eat very much of it, but at least he ate a little and I felt a lot better for taking a stand.

I love the food here. It was so delicious and the pastas were excellent.:thumbsup2 Even the kids ate all their food. The atmosphere is wonderful too. It really is my favorite restaurant, not to mention, some of the waiters are wicked hot.

After dessert, a guy came around who was playing the accordion. He was excellent and our whole side of our restaurant was laughing and clapping to the beat of the music. It was so lively and fun. I talked to a bunch of the other tables about their adventures and we all had a really great time.

Once out of Italy, Tony walked to go get his car and I helped Lee get the kids to bed. We had 3 counter service meals that we had to use or we would lose them and we had 12 snacks to use. Tony was going to drive me to Downtown Disney to grab Sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich and then over to Wolfgang Puck Express to get cookies and Brownies. When we got to Earl of Sandwich the place looked packed.

“Oh my god, this is crowded. “ Tony said. “I hope the line moves fast before I lose you.”

“Lose me?” :confused3 I asked confused.

“Yeah you know, before you start falling asleep.” :rotfl: He laughed as I hit him.

“It’s not my fault I fall asleep early. I am up all day long and moving, I don’t take middle of the day naps like you old people do.” I sassed back.

The line, thank goodness, didn’t take long and we were on our way to Wolfgang Puck. There were only 3 people in front of us there, but the line was not moving. Finally, we figured out why. Their credit card machine wasn’t working, so anyone using any type of credit card or anyone on the dinning plan couldn’t order. We lucked out as we were the last people they took before they made that announcement. I signed a slip that said I agreed to use the snack credits and I left.

“Ok, now we are going to Port Orleans French Quarters, I need to get the Beignets for the kids for breakfast tomorrow.” I said.

“I am not going to French Quarters their food court is closed. “ He said

“It is NOT closed,” I said rolling my eyes at him.

“They close at 9pm.” He said.

“They do not close at 9pm. Most of the parks aren’t even closed at 9pm. That’s ridiculous.” I said laughing at him.:rotfl2: Really, I was laughing at him at this point, not with him or around him, he was being ridiculous.

“I’m telling you they close at 9pm.” He stated as though that was the final answer.

“Give me your phone and let me call them.” I said putting my hand out for him to hand me the phone. He handed it to me and I called. “Midnight” I said to him as I got off.:teeth:

“Well, how would I know that, I never stay onsite.” He said. I just looked at him and laughed.

“Ok, fine we can go, but, if you fall asleep I am taking you right back to the hotel. “ He said.

“Fine, I won’t fall asleep,” I promised.

We got to Port Orleans and got the beignets and Tony dropped me off at the hotel. I have to say, had it been 10-15 minutes later, I think I would have fallen asleep. Tony took the Sandwiches for me to keep the refrigerated and I took the rest up to my room. I got there, got changed took a hot shower and went to bed. I decided everyone was just going

it is now -6 degrees.........we moved up a notch.

still no one willing to trade temps with me???

no one having blonde moments thinking about it......??

nope mac, i don't want your weather....mine is bad enough!:sad2:

My mom called earlier...seems my neice tried to run away last night...she is 14. They found her at her "boyfriends" house this morning. I have NO idea what was going through her head:sad2: I told mom that i think she should go to counciling. She took it really hard when that little girl got killed a couple of weeks ago not to mention that there are alot other issues going on here. I hope they get it all staightened out soon. My brother and her are suppose to go to court next week so he could adopt her.

mic:cheer2: way to go!!!! not to much further to go!!

ocm--:thumbsup2 keep it coming!

Pam - I am sorry about your neice. I hope everything works out for her.

Mac - no thanks about the weather. I'll keep my 45 for now.

Mic - way to go on your weight loss!! That is awesome!

/
brrrr...it is cold here..........still.....and colder tomorrow....but NO mac, you can keep your extra helping of cold out that way...I don't want it any colder than what it is

Momma, sorry your birthday surprise went haywire, but at least you know your Mom was thinking of you on your special day........:goodvibes

Pam, teen years are harder for some kids than other's, so hopefully whatever is bothering your niece will come out and she can get help...

I had a light supper and I'm feeling like MORE....but I ain't gonna do it, and once I get to a point after really wanting something else, I'm ok, its like a little bump I have to roll over and then I'm fine for the rest of the evening.

Well, gonna go pack tomorrow's lunch and clean up kitchen....

Oh no, I felt really bad for my mom. I know she really tried to do something special for me in a place that I love. It just didn't work out.

ocm - you go days w/o eating :scared: Was nice of your mom to think of you:thumbsup2 .

pam - sorry to hear that news; devastating for the parents i'd think.

mic - how's the new ride working out...any snow to test it yet?

mac - glad to see 'ya back!

It's so cold here...how cold is it?...

they cancelled school for tomorrow before 5:00 p.m. tonight. Had to take DS to orthodontist this afternoon. Despite warming up the SUV and wearing gloves, boots, etc. my hands were throbbing it was so darn cold.:sad2: I feel for my DH, who has to chain down a several thousand pound steel coil on the back of a flat bed (can't use gloves); then drive it to other plant; & repeat 2 or 3 more times. He wouldn't think of calling off:headache: and to think he went to college lol.

He never complains though (that's my job lol)...I feel so bad for him:hug:

Hey Keisha...the new wheels are awesome, and from a woman's prospective, the radio/cd player/sound system in it is T-errific:cool1: It has a bunch of speakers in it, so I was chillin' to my Shoop and Whatta Man, Whatta Man coming home tonight;) It's a cd I had burned from songs I had downloaded to my little mp3 player, so now I have it to play in the car. We girls at work all ripped it to our computers so we can listen to it instead of the elevator music that normally plays in the building

You must be a lot colder than us, and it's pretty darn chilly here....in fact, I'm about ready to go crawl into bed where it's warm....tell you hubby to come in out of the cold...;)

ks--that sure would be cold!! your dh is DA' MAN:thumbsup2

I do hope everything works out with my dn. Her mom is kinda bossy and i am sure that would get to anyone...it gets to me when i am around her alot. I hope that isn't it though....my brother called me today and really didn't say to much except that she was home and sleeping. Asked me how i would disipline...i told him what i would do BUT i am not in that situation so not totally sure what i would do.

Anyway, what is everyone doing tonight?

oh and the pizza...it was just okay. If my other planned dishes are like that then i don't know:confused3

tomorrows menu is a chicken dish and i plan to cook it in the crock pot:thumbsup2

all this talk about diets made me hungry.

for lunch i drove to kfc and did the drive food.
once pam said she threw out her fry daddy, i had to have fried food.

now, i need to think of a drive thru for dinner.

maybe wendys............screw the diet. it is too cold to diet today.

don't expect to hear from mr mac tonight so i can go out anytime

i almost forgot he was to go to new york/times square for business.
good thing he sent me an email to give me the heads up.

i think he has learned that from me.
i leave him a note when i leave.
no room for discussion then.

except i blew it for june......told him i was taking a trip and he was not thrilled. learned my lesson..........:rotfl:

Well, my evening is about over...I lay down to watch my soap, watched almost all of it and dozed off...phone rang and woke me up, chatted for a bit with son/DIL/grandbabies....so now I'm kinda wide eyed and bushy tailed...but I'm so cold, I'm on my way back to under the covers....will watch a little more TV before calling it quits

Mac, like I said, fried anything is the best...I really do love fried foods, but try to stay away from it. I used to fry chicken at least once a week, we never have it anymore....in fact the guys were complaining about that a couple weeks ago.........I don't mind frying stuff for them, it is just too long fixing dinner in the evening to do that. I might fry them some chicken this weekend, just to be nice:cutie:

And yeah, what Momma said, where ya going in June? If you mentioned it, it has slipped my mind...so refresh us on travel plans...you know we all love a trip!! I'm not thinking about mine later this month....I just want the time to pass normally and for it to creep up on me.........but I am excited about going to AZ in June...again, I'll let it creep up on me.

Pam, I've had the fake mashed potatoes that you make with broccoli and they aren't too bad. I was really good this evening, I wanted something to eat so bad, so I settled for an apple.....:goodvibes

Night friends....:grouphug:

just in case you are wondering, its still cold here but has warmed up to -4 now.

finally got my call from the drunken mr mac.

he had a nice dinner at the Harvard Club in times square. his friend had to leave to catch the 9:30 train back home to west chester county.

then mr mac had to have a couple more of nightcaps.
now he is definetely ready for bed.

he slurs his words so much when he drinks.
the one thing he wanted was for me to read him the dew point of our weather from the weather channel.

he is so romantic when he drinks, he loves to discuss weather.

just hope he is in a still good mood when he catches the plane tomorrow night

if his flight is delayed, he can be a real cranky pants.

Morning Everyone

It's cold to get to the bus stop today. BBBRRR..

I'll post more later when I dethaw.

Morning all...we are at a lovely 9 degrees this morning....:scared1: with snow for tonight.......I hope not

More later, I need to dethaw too, but first I have to pass through the freezer to get to the warmth for my day;)

Mac, hope the Mr. doesn't hit any bad weather getting home tonight
