morning from the frozen tundra, still not about 5 degrees (wah....)

ocm - liked the next installment, keep them coming:thumbsup2 I'm w/you, kids are supposed to have a good time @ WDW, who cares if they make lots of noise before the show:confused3 . We always take great care to move seats so little ones can see behind us (many times, we've switched seats w/families so the kids can see). Only bad experience I had was @ Indy Jones when this cranky woman behind me said my mickey ears were blocking her view and she wondered why I was wearing them anyway...wth?!? I feel nekie w/o my ears @ the World. I'm 5'4" on a good day & she was a mighty big woman. Them babies stayed on the whole show & I straightened up nice & tall in my seat too;) . Some people persist in being miserable s.o.b's even @ the happiest place on earth.:sad2:

btw, I'd think any prudent person would've done what you did:confused3 common sense. Lost articles get shipped to the lost & found up by TTC; where they hold it. Certainly, a lot easier to hand it back to someone. Your husband sounds alot like my ex (who got to the point where it seemed "i couldn't walk across the carpet correctly"). Discovered that there are people who are so insecure they don't feel good about themselves unless they feel superior to others...bizarre.

tvt - hang in there brother! I know 1st hand back issues are a poa...as pam said, surgeon told me there's lots of new options out there (that i'm still avoiding lol)...hope you recover soon.

pam - owwie for poor Aubrey, does she have a current tetnus shot? I made the mistake of taking DH w/me to Sams & Walmart to grocery shop on Saturday...there goes my budget. He picked out all these baked good yummies, etc.; now I have to sit here & hope my willpower holds out...doubtful imo.

bob - assume life in Cleveland is full of lake effect snow...yeech. Least you've got thoughts of a trip to keep you warm! did you know you can fill out the passport form online? Got ours going last night. Now, all i've got to do is get the pics taken somewhere. Eckerd charges $10 pp; seems steep to me.

ed - glad to here your boy bounced back!

mic - how'd you like Rome (I was glad there weren't any severed heads this week).

mac - working with the savages today?

Yup, last night and this morning was lake effect stuff. Not too bad where we live (we got 4 inches or so), but the east side got a foot plus.

Our passport apps are in the mail (as of Saturday morning :thumbsup2 ). Oh, as far as the pics go, WalMart is also around $10 pp. The post office we went to did them as well, but they were $15. The people behind us in line on Saturday said that AAA does them for like $8. :)

As far as warm thoughts -- well, I'm off to Florida on Wednesday night for my annual golf trip, so I don't mind the snow for a few more days ;)

Keisha - Lee is the kind of guy who absolutely refuses to get invovled. And anyone that does should jsut mind their own buisness. Nice caring, loving attitude and one you will see put into practice a few more times this trip.

Pam - I am so sorry about Aubrey. Poor little thing. Will she need to go to the Dr? I hate it when kids are in pain.

Bob - TAKE ME TAKE ME!!! Although, you would never catch me on the golf course., unless it's mini golf. LOL! Have a great time. It was warm down there.:thumbsup2

Sunday Jan 14

We woke up with a plan. I fed the kids breakfast at the hotel and we got up and ready for a great day. We were on our way to be one of the first people to get on the Safari at Animal Kingdom. After we were going to do the bug show and I was going to let Lee take Nico on Kali Rapids, since I still felt bad just leaving Tony with the kids while I went off and rode the rides. As I was leaving, I got a call from Deena. Deena was down there with her two little ones along with a bunch of ladies from a trip she took back in Oct. I was suppose to go and meet them then, but wasn't able to at the last minute. So I was really hoping to this trip. "Hi!!" I said, "how are you?"

"Did you make it in?" She asked.

"Yep, we are all here and we are just walking out the door to go to Animal Kingdom." I said, hoping to meet up with her there.

"Oh, well, most people here are just starting to crawl out of bed. I guess once we get there I will call you and see where you guys are." She said.

"What time was their breakfast?" I asked, trying to imagine 10 people rushing out of bed to get to Breakfasuarous.

"Not until like 10:30am. I still haven't decided if I am going to do that or not." She was explaining.

"Ok, well, just let me know when you get there, I do hope to hang out with you at some point this trip." I said.

"Yeah, maybe we can meet up for a ride or two."

TVT called me right after I hung up with Deena. “What did you need me to bring you today?” He asked.

“Did you find the ponchos for Kali Rapids? I really will need it with the shirt I am wearing today. It’s the same shirt I wore on the bumper boats that day. Remember?” I explained.

“I could only find one. But I did find the cooler for you, so I will bring that. Did you want the one Poncho?” He asked

“Yeah, I guess” I was answering.

“Yes, the rest of us don’t need one, but you do.” Lee was saying over my shoulder. :rolleyes1 He remembered the Bumper Boats too I guess.

True to his word TVT showed up with a little cooler to keep the kids snacks and juice boxes cold and the poncho so it doesn’t look I entered a Wet T Shirt contest when I get off Kali Rapids. We all piled into the van and drove to Animal Kingdom.

We got to Animal Kingdom walked to the safari and we didn't have to wait long at all to get on the ride. The line was moving, although, we were one of the first people there. "That is one of the best things about Everest," Tony was saying, "it used to be that you couldn’t walk over here before they put that in. Now that Expedition Everest is there, everyone heads that way." Good news for us, because I did not feel like waiting in line.

Here is Tyrone on the Safari
JulieonSafari.jpg

By the time we were on the ride, it was raining pretty hard. I have to say, we saw a lot of animals. One little animal was actually following our Jeep for a while. It was very cool. :thumbsup2 We got off the ride and we were trying to decide what to do next. I ducked into a store to talk to the others.

"Ok, Nico still wants to do Kali Rapids and Lee and Nico want to do It's Tough to be a Bug. Why don't you two go off and do that, and I'll wait here with the girls." I was trying to accommodate everyone as best I could.

"Why can't we all just do It's Tough To Be A Bug?" Lee asked trying to figure out why I just wanted to sit around.

"Because Julie has never seen that show and she has a huge fear of any bugs. She freaks out when she sees one. Now, you two have already traumatized one child by taking him on Dinosaur, I won't let you terrorize all my children." I said laughing.

"HEY..we didn't traumatize.." Tony started to say as Lee interrupted, "I forget about Julie's recent fear of bugs. She is pretty petrified right now about them, your right. Then let's just go." Lee was saying.

"What about Nico on Kali Rapids?" I asked.

"No, it's ok, we can just go, I wanted to ride with you on that one mom." Nico was saying. At that point, it was still raining pretty hard and I just wanted to get out of the park and into the car. By the time we had walked to the car the rain had almost completely stopped. We decided to go feed the kids Mcky Ds for lunch, something fast and easy.

"Since it's Sunday, I don't think they serve breakfast until 11am." I said to Lee.

"It might be 10:30am" he said.

"No I'm pretty sure on Weekends it's 11am and on weekdays it's 10:30am."

"Well, let's just see, I’m pretty sure it's 10:30am." Sigh, we get on the road and TVT insists that the closest one is up the toll road and not the one on I-drive. I still think he is wrong on that, but I was tired of people not listening and I wasn't driving. So whatever. We got to McDonalds and TVT turns to me.

"It's 11am. I eat at the McDonalds all the time and it's definitely 11am." He stated as if he knew exactly what he was talking about.

"It's 11am on the weekends and 10:30am on the weekdays" I repeated for what felt like the 15th time. "At least, every McDonalds I've ever been to is that way." :rolleyes2 I said rolling my eyes.

Lee came in to tell us lunch was at 11am, which I tried to tell him, but you know, no big deal, the kids were having a good time playing, so it was no big deal.

"Well, is every McDonalds you know 24 hours?" He asked.

"No," I said, "but I don't think it makes a difference."

"I come to this McDonalds all the time and I am telling you they start serving lunch at 11am every morning. Why can't the kids just eat breakfast since we are a half hour early?" He asked.

"Because all they really eat is the eggs and maybe a little bacon, but they wont eat the sausage or the pancakes. It won't hold them until dinner tonight. They need to eat lunch food." I explained.

At least this was a play land McDonalds and they had a foosball table. Nico played and then watched and cheered for other people when they played. The kids were having a blast. Finally, lunch was served and we ordered and ate. Well, I don't really eat McDonalds, but everyone else ate. As we were leaving, I stopped at the counter, "Excuse me, could you please settle an argument that I know I am going to win. What time do you start serving lunch on the weekdays?"

"10:30am" she said as I smiled and walked out smugly.:teeth: It's not that I was proud for knowing McDonalds hours. Infact, if you think about it, it's kind of sad, I was just enjoying the fact that TVT was so certain he knew what he was talking about when we was clearly dead wrong.:lmao:

:thumbsup2 Trips reports are great, and love the picture of Tyrone...:goodvibes I agree with KS, sometimes people are not happy unless they are making everyone else miserable i.e. your other:guilty: That was nice of you to try and locate the cell phones owner, I would have appreciated that very much. The McD's saga is funny, why will men not listen to us??:confused3

KS, good for you with your ears story, tell the old crabass to get over it...I swear, you find one in every crowd. Heck, 3/4 or the people walking around have ears or some kind of hat on at Disney...duh..........and you can see between the ears...:rotfl:

Bob, SNOW....ick....keep it...........and off to Florida, woohoo for you:banana: I'm rather looking forward to the end of February myself.

Pam, ouch for Aubrey! Poor baby, I bet that did hurt. What's the prognosis? Do you have to take her to the Dr? Speaking of Monopoly, did you see where one of the newer versions will have a Labrodoodle dog for the doggie piece?? I always want the Scottie dog:rotfl: that is my favorite piece, or the hat

Office manager has a 'tude on today.........:headache: she is kinda like that woman witching at you about the ears...she is miserable, so everyone else has to be too......ugh

Tony, hang in there with the back...

mac, you workin with the hooligans today? Maybe you will end up with a snow day:cool1:

Deena, did you survive babysitting?

mic - hang in there, boss can't say miserable forever...or can she:scared1: . How many days on your counter? Start "X"ing them off @ work, doesn wonders for moral (yours lol).

bob - thanks for the head's up on pics...DH will throw a fit if i drag him to AAA to save a few bucks though. Buess i better check if our local office performs that service 1st, since they never seem to have discounted WDW or Universal tix. Lucky you w/a golf vacation:cool1: . I only went once last year & sat in the cart after 8 holes:sad2: while my guys finished the round. DH sez I have to use practice balls henceforth, cartons of them.;)

ocm - we mom's all know the McD hours:rotfl: . You are a resiliant woman, you go girl! Tyronne's looking muy cute!

Mic - I am sorry your boss is being a turd. I hate when people get uptight like that.

Keisha - I loved the mickey ears story too. Good for you not taking them off. Why are you wearing them? what kind of whacko was she anyway?

Like I said, I'm not all that proud I knwo the mcky ds hours. But, when I was pregnant I would eat there once in a while and more than that, I would stop there with the other kids. It is a rare thing that I cook when I am pregnant, so it was a must know.

Awe. It's neat when little kids want to play with you.

I didn't take aubrey to the doctor...i think it is just sore and she doesn't want to put any weight on it. I'll give her today...she is starting to stand on it and stuff. She had her 5 yr. shots in sept. doesn't that include a tetnus?

mic--i'm sorry your boss has her thong riding to high today...hope she gets better after lunch!

ks--you are a better wife than i!! I think i went with dave a few times but i get bored...if i try to hit a ball i just get mad because all i can seem to hit are worm burners....speaking of, Bob, are you going to hit another worm burner for me this year?!;)

ocm--trip reports are good:thumbsup2 I know when mcD's stop serving breakfast too....must be a girl thing;)

Where are all the other boys? i heard New Orleans was windy and rainy this weekend...hope gant didn't rust down there!!

Pam - I am glad she is starting to stand on it again. It sounds like she just needed to give it a little more time to heal.

The witch has been in meetings most of the day...amen....outta my hair and can't bug me........she screws up and then gets a 'tude and blames anyone that is handy.........geez....I'll keep a list KS, then talk to Tony Soprano:lmao:

Oh, I forgot before, yes, I watched Rome....ok, is it me, or have the cuss words gone up a level, and the sex acts also? Wasn't quite this much the first season...some of it is ok, but I find it hard to believe that Romans were really into the "f" word :confused3 :rotfl: Yes, the whole lopping of heads is icky...I usually close my eyes....

I could take a nap, is it time to go home yet?

Glad Aubers is on the mend, kids do that though, whine for hours then they are fine

Sunday Jan 14 part 2

We decided to go to Epcot so we headed over that way. We went to Soarin first to get a baby swap. Lee turned to Nico and I and asked us to ride with him. "Are you ok with the kids?" I asked TVT. "Yeah let me find a table and sit with them" he said as he went off in search of a table.

"Try not to use any of the snacks ok? I really want to save them." I explained.

"Let me tell you right now, if Samantha (who is very clingy to her mom) starts crying, she is getting the chocolate snacks." :snooty: He said rather matter of fact.

Ok, I shut up right then. ;) He was right, he needed to do whatever he needed to do so to keep my child happy. We rode Soarin then came back. TVT and I and Nico went on Soarin' again while Lee took Julie and Samantha to Lion King. Then it was time to get in line for Jr Chef. My kids love this and normally, you are suppose to be 4 or older in order to participate, but they let Samantha in to bake the cookies.

jrchefallthree.jpg

juliejrchef.jpg

They had the siblings each walk in together. They all had special jobs. Nico got to measure the sugar, Julie got to sift the flour and Samantha's job was to hold the chocolate chips. They asked if they could trust her not to eat one, and her face was priceless as she looked to see if anyone was really watching.

sammiejrchef.jpg

Finally, the dough was made, and Nico was called back to finish putting the dough on the tray. The guy picked the spoon up with the rest of the dough, a very big amount, and told Nico to close his eyes and open his mouth. Nico looked up at him, and shook his head that told everyone he was not about to play the fool. The guy had to promise him three times that he really wasn't going to do anything before Nico willingly opened his mouth, although, he would not close his eyes.

When it was all over, Disney actually gives each of the kids 2 free warm chocolate chip cookies. It's one of the only few things completely free in Disney, and my kids love doing it. It's win for all of us. :thumbsup2 We sat and let the kids eat their cookies and moved on to the Nemo ride.

We got in the line for the Nemo ride and TVT went on and on how the line doesn't take long at all. We finally got past the first part and all of the queues were open and full on the inside.

"Oh no, last time I was here none of this was open. There wasn't a line queue in this part at all." TVT was saying as we were rolling our eyes at him. We finally got to sit in the clamshells and each adult took a kid. My kids really enjoyed this ride. As we walked out of that ride we saw that the Turtle Talk line was really short.

We went in and I sat the kids in the front row. The kids loved it. They laughed and watched. This was Lee's first time seeing it too, and he really enjoyed it as well. WE all agreed that we would have to go back and do that again.

We got out of Turtle Talk and Julie asked to go on Spaceship Earth. This is one of her absolute must dos in Disney and we had been at Epcot a long time without doing it.

"Julie right now we all need to go eat. But we will do it another day ok?" I said to her.

"Awe man! Julie wants to ride spaceship earth right now." Julie said.

"Well, we aren't going to do it right now because we all need to eat sugar pie. But we will do it Sugar Pie, I promise you." Tvt told her.

We had Gift cards from Christmas to Chili’s so we decided to go there for dinner. We got there and were seated right away. The waiter came and got the drink order and we ordered Spinach dip for the kids to eat. My kids love that and it's the only way I get them to eat Spinach.

"Do you want to get an onion for an appetizer, too?" TVT asked.

"No, I love outback’s onion, but Chili's never comes out completely cooked. It's all battery in the middle." :snooty: I said, scrunching up my face remembering the raw batter that came out of the middle of the onion last time I was there.

"All Battery? Battery? You do realize what a battery is right? Does your onion vibrate and I didn't know it? You say the craziest thing sometimes. It's batter, not battery." TVT said laughing while he enjoyed his sarcasms.

"Yeah, well, you know what I meant. Raw batter, you are right that is what I should have said, but battery worked just as well, since you got it. Besides give me a break I'm blonde." :rolleyes1 I said sassing back.

The appetizer had arrived and if you blinked, you missed it. My kids dug into that like it was the last meal they were going to have for a long time. I'm honestly not complaining, I'm very glad my children like it so much.:)

"Julie wants more dip." Julie announced to the table.

"There isn't anymore dip, Julie Buli," Lee told her, "Just wait a little bit, your food will be here any minute."

"It just cracks me up every time she refers to herself in the third person." Tony was telling Lee. "Every time she does that it reminds me of the guy from Seinfeld, 'Jimmy likes hot showers, Jimmy wants to ask you out'" Tvt said laughing.:rotfl:

"Oh, I know," Lee said laughing back as he started quoting the show too. I did remember the episode they were talking about. But I am not enough of a fan of that show that I could go around quoting it. Besides, as Crush would say, they were sharing a moment, who was I to interrupt.

The food came and we all ate most of it. The kids ate theirs and shared mine. Lee ate some of mine too, but I had a huge plate and there was no way I was going to be able to eat it all anyway. I had no problem sharing with everyone.

The food wasn't as good at that Chili’s as it seems to be most other places. That was the second time I had been there and for whatever reason, they just aren't up to par with the others. But, we were all full as we left, so that had to be a good sign.

That night, Lee wanted to go watch Illuminations. The girls refuse to watch that show because the fireworks are just way too loud. Julie had peed just a little on her pants right before she had gone to the bathroom at Animal Kingdom, so I wanted to got those pants washed. TVT and I took the girls to his house and let them watch Elmo while I did some laundry.:laundy:

Lee took Nico to watch Illuminations. He was scared of the fireworks, but Lee just told him to hold his ears and hum. I think personally, I would have taken my scared child inside a building or out of the park, but what he did seemed to work too. Nico wouldn't watch them again though.

On their way back to the hotel, they saw a street show on the boardwalk a guy doing magic tricks. Lee and Nico raved and raved about the show. :goodvibes They said it was amazing. Nico said that he really hoped that I got to see it once because he liked it so much he knew I would like it too. I got back with the girls a little while after the guys got back and we all went to bed. We decided that tomorrow, we were just going to sleep in a little. It had been a long day and none of us went to bed at a decent time.

what cute pics!! I will have to remember that for the next time we are there...aubrey would LOVE to do that!

Great pictures, I never knew they had anything free in Epcot:confused3; except for the guys who dump the garbage can of trash & ask kids to help pick it up. CM came up to me & invited DS to participate, telling him it was part of a YOMD & he'd get "something". (It turned out to be the certificate w/his name on it...he passed:rotfl2: . He whined how he got stuck picking up garbage @ Epcot. I keep telling him if he doesn't do good in school, he'll be luck to snag that job.::yes:: )

pam: i think tetnus shots are good for 7 or 10 years.

mic: lots of broke back mt. encounters too. Sort of enjoy DH's discomfort:joker: . Let's take up voodoo for the boss.
voodoo-doll.jpg

deena: i cannot remember the last time i babysat a critter than didn't have 4 legs, i used to breed Keeshonds...aren't they beauties?
3815687879
still have my 'senior' with me:love: and my demon-dog Shipperke.

mac: where's mac?

Cute Pics OCM but I think having your child wear a Redskins shirts is akin to child abuse :joker:

He has two jerseys, Marcus Washington and Santana Moss plus two redskin tshirts. I think he wore those almost the entire time we were there. He woudl look for people in the parks sporting redskins gear and boo people wearing anything about the cowboys.

Keisha - those are cute puppies. Maybe with your son getting married you will get to babysit soon.
