Hi everyone. Just completed the last soccer games of the season. I have a little break before our 1:00 pm pizza party where we give away the trophys and certificates. Then I have to go pick up the birthday cake for my little 8 year old. (he's the one who plays hide the crayon with our very own OCM). Hope you all have a great weekend.

just got home from running to lincoln...went to kohls and then to super saver and got groceries...i still have to go to my local store as some of the other stuff is alot cheaper here than there which really kinda suprised me

did i tell you that i am making cinn. rolls from scratch right now?!!? it isn't going so well...my dough is sticky...i am letting it sit for 20 min. like the recipe said and then i will start rolling it out...which is another downfall of mine...i stink at rolling things out...may end up going and buying them!

pam, the dough is supposed to be sticky.

let it sit for 20 minutes and then dust your hands with floor lightly and try again to roll them out.



that's how i do it.

happy bd to lit' giant!

busy, busy day all went well until i picked up the cake that I special ordered 2 weeks ago...they messed up big time. Pic of prospective bride & groom appears to have been shot thru a green filter...bride's pretty blonde hair appears to have the green tinge you get from an overly chlorined pool & the pic is listing to the left. I *itched so much, they gave me the cake 1/2 off. I wanted another one but, they couldn't have it ready by tomorrow a.m.

I'll never live this one down, her family isn't what I'd call wealthy but, every thing is always "exquisite", shower being catered, etc. I'll probably laff about this years from now just not today or tomorrow...maybe I'll break my leg and won't have to go.

Hope they do like their shower present...I booked a towncar in lieu of ME for honeymoon (Sunray - is that the one you use mac?)

ocm - great pic of your cutie-pie.

mic - it does tend to add up doesn't it? I espec hate going to Lowes, rarely do I escape less than $100. Almost fell over when I saw that water filter for new refrigerator would cost over $30...wonder how long you can wait?

KS, sorry the cake was a fizzle....don't sweat it, I would be mad too, but like you said, years to come it will be a family funny...a great memory

After I purchased my new fridge, I decided to research the water filter in it...I know, bassackwards way to do stuff......to replace it thru Sears is pretty steep, so I looked online and found several places to order them and save a few bucks, and places offer free shipping. My booklet says around 3 months they last, but I guess it depends on how much water you draw through it. Also, I'm sure you can use it beyond when the red light comes on, but it sorta defeats the purpose then I would think.

Pam, first you have sticky keys, now you have sticky fingers

Mac, forgot to say I'm glad you heard from ds.....I know that means a lot to you

mic, i change my filter once a year on my sears model.

the light lets me know when i should.

sh says i should change it every 6 months.



i use bottle water so what do i care.....



keisha, as you carry the cake to the place for the shower, trip and drop the cake. no one will notice the green tint then. it's what i would do.



i can call bob / sunray and tell him to make the trip extra special.
when is the trip for them?

Good to know you get about a year out of your filter mac....I will see how long the one installed lasts...and like I said, I found an online place that sells cheaper than Sears

I'm looking at a new electric range now...the one I have is 12 years old and looks pretty sad compared to the new sparkly fridge.......never ends does it
