Wow so I'm just old huh, Tony make sure you use the good paddle you know the one with holes drilled in it so it cuts down on the wind resistance.

Look a sunrise over something older than me, Machu Pichu.

::yes:: ::yes:: Sometime around the 9th or 10th of Dec. She's hoping to only be gone for 9 or 10 days, but she has to give a presentation (bidding for a new client) in four different countries (China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia), so I don't know if she'll be able to do it in that timeframe.

will she have all the holiday shopping done or is that going to be part of your job description this year?

I hope she gets the shopping done (she's planning on spending most of Black Friday shopping), because when it comes to anything non-electronic or toy-related, I'm useless.

a very late shout-out this am...still cleaning:guilty: don't think I shall ever be done, amazing the places you can find dog & cat hair.

pam - Hope your baby feels better, no fun to have a sore throat. Do you do the cookin for the holiday? i'm the chief cook & bottle washer for Thanksgiving. Had Xmas once & refuse to do it again, between church & kids opening presents, then dinner, the day was a blur. We'll host mostly DH's family. They have a weird-o tradition that the host does it ALL:faint: . Something about an old southern tradition...they consider it insulting to bring a covered dish. They need edumacated, in a hurry:thumbsup2

speaking of which, I looked up Ed's mystical mt. of the day...did ya know that if you rub your head on the stone(s) you supposedly get direct visions to the spirit world...couple shots of tequila pretty much will do the same thing:teeth:

ocm - i'm still "missing" a cannon camera & a box of crystal from 2 moves ago...yep, I've still got unpacked boxes - 15 years later. They're on my to-do list.

bob - good luck holding down the fort, how cool to be sent to China, hope she gets free time to sight-see & shop.

mic - I bet you're so excited!

mac - when does school let out for Thanksgiving, our kids have Thurs to Tues off.

Anyone else excited about: Bond, James Bond?:Pinkbounc

I have no idea who that is..but I kjnow no one is suprised. I guess I've never seen one of those movies either.

bopping in on my lunch break.

keisha, school kids here just get off the thursday and friday for thanksgiving holiday. that's it ......since i only get paid for the days i work, i like it this way. many teachers call in "sick" on the monday after.

good day today. we are watching tv for each class. the teacher didn't leave lesson plans except to say if the class is good, turn on the tv.

have watched every program on BET so far since 7:45 this morning.
it's getting old..........

catch you all later :teeth:

I'm speechless!!!!:scratchin can't remember last time that happened.

Mac & Mic, you got my back on this one???

Bond....
James Bond....
Shaken, Not Stirred:)

Trust me, you don't know what you're missing. TNT or one of those stations always have a #days of bond marathon running around the holidays, worth your while for pure escapism. The villians are a hoot too...if you saw Austin Powers movies, they're a take-off/homage to the Bond films.

Where do I begin?

Sean Connery was so hot (still not too shabby for an old dude IMO) & that voice, aaaaah...enough to make you melt.

Roger Moore, played role for laughs; still easy on the eye.

Pierce Brosnan, elegant charmer too, looked great in a Tux.

Lots of scantily clad chicks for the dudes to oogle too. Ask most men if they remember seeing Ursula Andress rising out of the surf?;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Now that is funny!
No, i don't cook on thanksgiving although i should be taking notes. One day I am sure it will be my turn to do the cooking when my aunts get older and can't get around in the kitchen....until then i just bring a covered dish and we are all happy.

We are doing something different this year. We are not going to my aunts for thanksgiving. We are going to skip it this year since we have two places to go on that day. It just becomes to hectic. So we will be going to dave's mom this year. Another reason we are going to go to Dave's mom's is so that i don't have to hear it from his sisters that they ALWAYS have to work around our schedule....well if you wouldn't be such losers.....i'll stop there...it is almost the holiday season!

I do know who james bond is....i can't remember how his movies go though...if we are usually watching it i am multi tasking and just kinda watching it :teeth:

Dave is the same way...i usually do all of the shopping....what would he do without me?!?!?!?! :confused3 :teeth:

I feel sorry for her though...won't the stores be PACKED???

I'm not going shopping then....atleast i'm not planning on it unless i see something that i just can't live without. I am planning on taking the kids to a movie...dave has to work so it will just be the kids and I.

Oh Im sooo going shopping then. With or without the old guy. I have 65 to spend atthe disney store and I intend to get my moneys worth. Then, Im off to best buy and maybe i'll shop JC penney with my mom.

Glad to bring back happy memories for someone. DH's psyched has called me twice today wanting to know what day we'll be going to see the flick.Ursula is/was one hot babe...perhaps i'll be blessed w/better genes & willpower in my next life:teeth:. Pam Anderson, eat your heart out...best part, she's all natural.

All the Bond girls were extra-ordinarily good looking. DH told me that one of the minor actresses in Octopussy (i think) was a transvestite. No matter, still a good looking broad.

Pam - tee-hee, out-laws do make for interesting holiday affairs. I always went to my MIL's until she passed, then the torch got passed down. My main complaint about DHs family coming to dinner is that they eat very plainly, only meat & potatoes; sometimes tossed salad.:confused3 Bizarre, since we have turkey @ least once a month, the side dishes are the big deal for us.

I'll be early to bed wiped out Thanksgiving night & waiting in line @ Best Buy @ 5:00 the next morning. Burnt out the sensors on camcorder or perhaps a new monitor...hmm. Think I just like the excitement of the hunt.;)

One time, my brother tim and I got home from school and my mom was home cooking. We asked what that was and she replied, "mashed potatoes." We looked at each other and both asked, "Oh who is coming to dinner?"

Then, my brother Joey came into the kitchen and asked why my mom was cooking mashed potzatoes and who was coming over.

Apparently, we didn't get side dishes unless someone was coming over. :confused3

I'm not a huge turkey fan at all, so I look forward to the side dishes too. The broccoli and cheese dish, the mashed tators, the thyme veggies, and the hawaiin rolls.....YUMMY!!

My mom always stretched the meat with LOTS of taters, in every shape & form; or pasta; followed up with 2 slices of white bread w/oleo...no wonder I've got high cholesteral.;)

Never tried the hawaiian rolls/bread...is it sweet?

i watched the james bond movies since they started.

i can remember it being 25 cent day on saturdays at the local theatre.....

i couldn't stand pierce bronson though.
he never did it for me.
still feel sean connery was the best bond dude......

i'm bond, james bond.......
