my kids are out trick or treating and trent is handing out candy...I sitting here doing a big ole....nadda No I am making sure trent doesn't get scared!

we don't have trick or treating tonight.

its always done on the 4th saturday between 1 to 4 in our town.

when i was a kid, t or t night was halloween.
beggars night was the night before on the 30th.......


we used to live for that date of the 31st !.
we loved getting candy or apples in our bags.......


we don't have kids on our block so even on last saturday, no t or t ers showed up.
it's not celebrated much here.

the schools do a fall festival at the schools and the city does a mayors walk where kids can dress up and go to the businesses for a treat and hot chocolate on that saturday.

its strange how some communities do it different isn't it.....

Evening....everyone at work was rushing out to either be ready for trick or treaters or those with little ones to take them out...here I sit in my dumb town who had t or t on Saturday they spoil everything for kids today...of course it is a different world.

I'm with mac, used to LOVE Halloween as a kid. We bought our costumes in a box that had a mask and flimsy little cloth outfit or else you wore homemade. We were thrilled to get our sacks filled, and boy did we ever get them filled up. Kids getting apple today mac would probably throw it back I used to love getting candy apples.....yum

Anyway, I've got all my pumpkins in the windows lit and enjoying another Halloween coming and going. Time passes so quick...heck it will soon be Thanksgiving, we will rush thru Christmas and it will be 2007

My DIL called and said the boys were very excited about t or t'ing tonight. The little squirt was still napping at that point, so he will be ready to run wild tonight. We are now only 2 hrs. ahead of them....

He fizzled out!!!! He was watching this show on animal planet and i guess it was getting to intresting so he fired himself from the job...to soon i am afraid....had some unwanted visitors!

Another Halloween has come and gone....you are so right mic...it will be 2007 before we all know it!

Have to start on that secret santa! That is on my list of things to do for tomorrow!

As a kid, halloween wasn't really important to me. My mom never made it a big holiday and if i was able to get a costume that year, it was a big deal. Once I got into college, Halloween was WAY more fun for me. Now that I have kids, Halloween is a blast. Nico came up and thnaked me over and over for getting dressed up in my costume. He loves the fact that I can get into it too. Infact, this morning Nico came down and said that Halloween was his favorite holiday. I think Im going to be on a high for the rest of the day from that.

Good halloween here -- best ever Cam and I took Ryan around the cul-de-sac and then home (where he cried for 1/2 an hour once we left ) and then went back out with another family for another hour and a half. As soon as we got home, Ryan handed me his costume and dragged me back outside -- seems he wasn't done trick or treating.

OH MY GOSH....those pictures are so cute, and look at those happy faces!! It looks like you guys had a blast, and little Disney-kins at that! I'm hoping for pix of my babies sometime by the weekend, they were so excited also. Halloween is a great holiday and its for KIDS to be KIDS....thanks for posting those photos, I just LOVE THEM....like I said, glad it was fun and glad Nico thanked you for being a good Mom and celebrating with them

Well, it is the get on the road hour....... and just where has the wake up man been? He needs a note excusing him if he is ill, NO playing hooky around these parts.

Can't wait to see the other kids on the BIG night on the town. Deena, Bob, Ed, Gant, Pam, who did your kids dress up as? KS, did you costume up to scare the kids in your neighborhood? Muffy, were you one of the gals from the Junction??

It's All Souls Day! Somehow, not as exciting as Halloween. Day of obligation, 3 times to church in 5 days, new record for me.

Ocm - as always your kids look adorable, bet you got lots of candy too!

I enjoy remin. about Halloween, was happy to get a costume from Five & Dime & ran to grab all the goodies...good times.

Sent oldest out on his own w/a buddy, 1st year ever. He begged me not to dress up in my Minnie Costume , so I just wore my pumpkin head MM ears. Lots of his friends were too cool to participate...their loss.

DH & I got porch duty watching it pour buckets of rain. Surprised we had so many kids (we live way back on dead-end street near the woods). As usual, the kids loved the display. Quite a few wouldn't venture up to the scary part

, a true success .

Many parents told us that their kids insist on visiting the "dead house" each year and have passed on the location to their buddies. (Glad I bought extra candy this year). We had one group pull up in car after we had started turning everything off, the kids were crying...softy DH set it back up...knew there was a reason I luv that man so.

Did take pics, there on the stick w/my vac ones...hope to post soon, if i can remember how.

Chris was Batman and Connor was Robin last night, they had fun going out but I think next year we are going to ToT at my sisters neighborhood my boys spend alot of time there and all their freinds were asking for them at my sisters.
