Woo Hoo I got tickets to Jimmy Buffett today he is doing 2 shows at Gillette Stadium (thats where the Patriots Play) the place is huge the tailgate party is going to be incredible.

talk about a party on the patio! woo-hoo I'm not a parrothead, do like his restaurants though enjoy!

mic - sounds like you had a great time, details please. Wonder how Rome will be tonight, hope I'm back in time to watch.

mac - we're back from church, getting ready to head to soon for dinner & ds's fb game.

I have quite a tale to tell..... but I've been so dopey today, didn't sleep well when I got in, woke up early, and have been napping off and on today. No hangover... just tired...I'm not used to the night life, and can I just say this..........it ain't for me no more...good grief, I wouldn't want to be out in that scene again....casing the room for guys or guys casing the room for chicks...and I'm not into the smoking scene, and that is part of the bar scene........so, when I feel up to sharing my whole adventure, I will...as I said, it certainly wasn't without surprises. I was home by 2:30 a.m.

I let my boys play on my computer this morning and i think they did something to it because i haven't had a connection all day....I finally messed with it enough that i got it to work.

Now it is off to watch some tv and hit the hay. I think i am getting a dreaded cold

My kids are at my mom's and dave will be home tomorrow!

We got 6 more inches of snow this weekend. We're running out of places to put them, but fortunately, we're getting a break this week -- it's supposed to get into the 40's by the weekend.

just rolled out of bed...very late but it felt good to sleep in. I had my alarm set but my dog decided to bark and growl and a car door slamming at 4:30am and scared the bejesus out of me so i couldn't get back to sleep until 5 minutes before my alarm was going to go off so i decided heck with it and slept in longer

bob--i think we are having a heat wave. we are suppose to be in the 40's pretty much all week. I think thursday they even have us as 50!

poor tony...i saw where florida is getting very cold temps right now!!! better him than us

mic--glad you had a fun time this weekend! Everyone needs that every now and then. You will have to tell us about it!

mac--have fun at school today!

ks--yes...is the eye better? How did the game turn out?

ocm--now you will get a little time to rest....before your outlaws come. Did your mom get everything she wanted to do done?

Hi Everyone

Serisoulsy, I'm exahusted. but I think I need to go hang out with Mic until 2:30am..sounds like a fun time. Even though, Im not really into the smoke scene either.

My parents just left and I am trying to catch up on whatever laundry I can possibly get done.

Nico has an insane week this week. He has ice skating lessons and soccer practice has started. I think there is only two weeks it's doubled like that. I hope to hear soon when Julie's dance recital is for Ballet. It was neat watching her last year. It should be some time the first or second week of may.

Ed that is awesome about the tickets.

Pam nope she didn't get done everything she wanted to..thank god. We did take the girls to the park and we only got into one argument. My stepfather fixed my door and painted my trim around th edoors and windows. So he was helpful to have around.

I really need a nap today and the kids are all home from school. I was hoping Lee would be here now so I could at least try to lay down.

Next game Friday in Canton (out bob's way); don't think i'll make that one since DH has to work & I have problems with vision/night driving.

bob - dig, dig you must we only got a couple more inches; my snowman measuring gizmo outside sez we've gotten more than a foot.

Saw lots of snow drifts covering the interstate last night when we made the trip to the game, haven't seen that for ages.

mac - even drive-by sightings of our kids is a good thing

mic/pam - thanxs, bump almost gone (hoo-ray); ever since i started taking the anti-biotic for my tooth, it seemed to help. Guess i'll be more diligent & make sure I change my eye makeup every month from now on.
I try to remember; but you know how that goes lol. Glad you both enjoyed the weekend.

Morning all...sounds like everyone had a full weekend...

Bob, we got a short amount of time with some snow yesterday...it came down like a whiteout for about 45 minutes, deposited about an inch I guess...all it really did was make more ice to freeze over... expecting a heatwave of 55 towards the end of the week.. maybe this crap will finally go away.

We decided to not go out for dinner for ds's birthday on Friday, but to have a little party of 4 at the house, fix dinner, have cake and maybe play cards or something...sounds good to me! I think steak will be on the agenda. My baby is gonna be 24...

So, we started out at Friday's, had a few drinks and laughs, decided to make our way over to a sports bar and get in there, it is packed and of course, not my type of crowd anymore, but there I was with 3 guys hanging out. We listened to the band and just hung out, all the while the birthday boy and one of the guys were not only drinking beer, but chasing the night away with goldenschlagger (spelling unknown to me, nope, did not want one of those) and then jaegermeister shooters. I knew birthdayboy (BB) was taking in WAY too much, but heck, I'm just along for the party, not to babysit. As the evening wears on..umm..he falls over on the floor and they take him outside. He is out there for awhile and yep, he starts getting sick, can't stand up and is about ready to pass out. To make a long story short, the sheriff dept. called an ambulance for him, the other guys were too far gone to care at that point so Mom here went to the ER with him. When I got there, the stinkin' nastiest nurse starts giving ME a lot of crap about the whole situation, so I told her, I'm outta here, here is a phone number of someone who can come and get him when you let him out. SO...I did end up riding in a police car NOPE not in trouble, they just took me to my car....made a trip to the ER, and by the way, had fun til the kid passed out.. I did feel bad for him though and at least made sure he was at the hospital and they knew who he was etc. He isn't at work today, but his friends have said he is fine...SO MUCH for these kids...I didn't pass out or throw up....guess that is the difference between being 50+ and newly turned 21..LOL DH was up when I got home, and he said, did you have fun? I was like, oh my, you won't believe this story when I tell you. He was surprised I bit my tongue with the nurse...(he knows me and know I can get feisty) For 2cents I would have told that nurse off in the ER, but I didn't want to make matters harder for the BB or make any ripples for him. She had me ready to spit nails...no offense to people in the nursing profession, I admire them tremendously and have some nurse friends, but it does not give you the right to talk nasty to people nor pretend you are better than them, or pass judgement on a patient, and at that point, that is what he was. Sure, it's dumb to over drink, but I remember being young, I remember drinking too much and that's how it goes, not right, but it happens. So, anyway, that is my exciting night out...glad those are few and far between I would go out with them again to celebrate a birthday, but without all the "after he fell on the floor" business...LOL

Work is work this morning, we are busy with walk ins with the holiday...some people have all the luck with days off...I need a government job I think.

Pam, glad you got to sleep in a bit later...I went to bed early last night, I was still tired from Saturday night.

WOW!! That is a story. I hate mean nurses. I'm glad the guy had fun and I was glad you were able to go with him to the ER. What the hell is the nurses problem passing judgement on you. You were with him..accompying him to get help right. Did they have to pump the alcohol out of him?

Nice friends that guy has.

I've been in police cars quite a few times. Usually the officers are really nice.

I think it is really really sweet that your DH was waiting for you when you got home.

mac - don't know whether to laff my butt off or say i'm sorry ; whatta story. That night will live in infamy . Kids, amatuers lol. You are a kind spirit to go to the ER and deal with nurse kratchet. I've never ridden in a police car; but my ds is a regular - course he's on the other side of the cage. Still waiting to become official; once he turns 21, if the local job doesn't materialize; he can apply most other places. Sick of hearing about the budget issues, yadda-yadda; them-there politicos better remember - scorned committee women never forget.

Bet you won't forget that night out with the boys soon!

LOL...KS, I should have called for Officer Jeremy to come help me out....I have no idea what the nurse's problem was, and yes, I was just trying to be Mrs. Nice Mom, making sure he was ok etc. He didn't need pumping or anything, he just was a little cold from being outside so long and the vomiting, needed a little clean liquid in him.......I will see him tomorrow, but from what I've heard, she was mean with him too....OK, as I said, it was a dumb thing to do, but who is she to pass judgement when her supposed job is to help?? I guess if you go in after being stabbed she will ask if you deserved it?? Anyhoot, at the time it was a mess, but now I kinda laugh about it, me, the old lady of the group and I'm the one in charge Yes, I was little put out with other 2 "men", but they were pretty well charged up themselves........it's my fault for staying with them, but heck, you only live once....

KS, I like that...."amateurs".... guess I'll have to pass my "how to party and not get sick" lessons on to the kids. We have another one turning 21, but not til November, so I've got a couple months to recoup In a round about way, I knew the sheriff that drove me over to my car, he was extremely nice and his car was hot.......LOL...not hot as in hot, but nice and warm inside, he had the heater cranked up

My dh knows I'm a good girl, and can be trusted to behave...

So Momma, do tell?? you've been in police cars huh???

Keisha, is our young officer enjoying his career? I hope if he is, he finds some place that will appreciate him and that he can be happy with.

Oh, you can laff your butt off, don't be sorry, stuff like this only happens to me........as I say, I see the humor in it now and can laugh about it myself, little ole middle aged me, out partying with kids, and I'm the last man (woman) standing......
