I'd love to see it, Mic :thumbsup2

Pam -- long weekend, made even longer by the presence of my MIL all weekend at our house. Her and my DW started unpacking stuff and organizing our basement -- which is now complete.

I didn't have to work this weekend, thankfully, but I was in at 6am this morning getting a head start on a long day today. :surfweb:

i have to go take care of the 5 cats..............i would like to say never again will i volunteer for a cat or dog sitting job for free.

but, knowing me, if it lets these 2 senior ladies out on a trip, then i have to.

have to go now and then come back and take son to doc.
he injured his knee and one leg is shorter than the other. he sees the doc for the 4th time and then continues the physical therapy this afternoon for 1.5 hpurs. might not be here much but will try

gantrobot, the chop suey was so good, there were no leftovers.
and that's speaking something for my fam.

toodes.............homies.

and tony, i think that is the longest post you have made so far. i am impressed !!

La Choy makes my chow mein... :thumbsup2

Bob, I'll have to try and dig that picture up...I have a feeling its in one of my scrapbooks, I'll take a digital photo of a photo..... :goodvibes Wow, that is early to be behind the desk 6 a.m., but I bet its quiet and you get alot done

Mac, sorry son has to return to dr. and have all that therapy, but hopefully it will make him better

Muffy, all home and settled from the Lake? Hope you didn't bring any extra bugs home with you :p

Love to hear those 2 sonic BOOMS!!!!

Welcome home Discovery!! Nice to see you back on Earth safe and sound!!
:thumbsup2

Tony, I saw on AOL news that it had landed safely :cool1: Awesome news...always good to hear that the mission went well

Morning all!

TVT - watched the re-entry this a.m., wondered if you could hear the "boom, boom". They had the pilots view of re-entry on the news, looked like a video game...was anxious - glad the mission went off w/o a hitch. We took the tour past the landing strip, boogled my mind to realized it was sooo long it both ends were off the horizon (now that's long!)

mac - best wishes for both DS's!

mic - luv the Capt Jack picture, did you see the movie yet? We went out to one of our old fav. on Fri night to dine (while my 3 sons were @ Pirate Game)...it was one of the worst meals I've ever eaten, took almost 2 hours from start to finish & food was undescribably gross - disappointing (some things just don't age well;) )

roboto/gigant - is that a Maryland blue crab? I plan on knocking back a few of those puppies in a few weeks in OC.

pam - bible school is a good thing! Your young'uns keep you hopping, must put lots of miles on car...know I do.LOL

shout out to everyone else, back later...DH & DS going golfing (it's already near 90 degrees - I'm heading for the pool). DH took OT this p.m., don't know where he gets his energy. the heat wipes me out, I feel wilted.

:thumbsup2 Hi KS............isn't that a froster when you feel SO good about eating out and its a disappointing experience?? :sad2: Sorry you had a bad time also...live and learn.....

Yes, we saw the movie, when can we all start yapping about it? I know we were trying to wait for everyone to see it........I LOVED it...... :cool1:

It is indeed a Blue Claw and I love Ocean City Md. One of my favorite vacation spots. However, if I happen to get down there before you, don't expect to see too many of those babies. I'll have eaten them all!   :cool1:

afternoon all!

kids are home from bible school! Lucky for me, one of my friends is a helper at bible school so she is picking them up and dropping them off for me...helps me a great deal especially since they don't get done until noon and that is lunch time for the kids. They do keep me busy, but I rather them be busy than them sitting at home being bumps on a log.

Dave is going to take Aubrey to the eye doctor to see if her eyes have improved this time. If they haven't then he will probably suggest surgery again. :guilty: He told me last month when I took her that if he doesn't see any improvement that the end result will be another surgery...I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

Tony--sounds like you had a nice relaxing day yesterday!!! I would have LOVED a nap yesterday at noon! I was dragging all day...couldn't be because I went to bed at 4a.m. could it?! :confused3 :teeth:

Bob--congrats on your basement! Glad you got it done...i bet it is awsome...pictures we need pictures!!!!

mac--have those cats taken you over yet?

KS--is it super hot in your neck of the woods?

mic--are you covered in paperwork???

gant--I have never been to OC but i hear it is nice! You are fitting right in here...glad you stayed!

Nope, pretty much caught up...have to get the checks ready for deposit...finish opening the mail.....nothing stressful :teeth:

I'm praying for a good eye dr. visit for Aubrey :flower3:

Man, I could use a nap right about now............

back home and about to take off again.

i wish the little old ladies would come home tonight.
i hear they are having so much fun and know their kitties are being taken care of well that they might not come back now until wednesday night late.

no matter what, i will keep shoveling the kitty litter........isn't that a nicer way to say it.
i have to run out to kmart and buy kitty litter,.......they have gone through most of what was in the boxes....

going to physical therapy, notice i said physical, not just therapy...... :rolleyes1

where is our 16 year old wonder boy today??

think he is re reading the posts again.?
he needs to come back and tell us how kewl we are again.

and the other newbie, hello robot. glad you came back

got to go

:moped:

'bout time to blow this pop stand............ :thumbsup2

Lucky you!!! I still have another hour left :guilty:

I vote Nebraska has the eastern time zone in the evening but in the morning keep the central time zone...that way i still get my extra hour of sleep

think my mom and her friend are going to come and plant my retaining wall tonight...just in time for us to leave...i really hope my plants survive while we are on vacation! I have several people offering to water, get my mail, watch my dog. It is so great to have such great friends, neighbors, and family! :teeth:

mac--how did the physical therapy go????

pam - best wishes for your daughter! where you going on vacation? Poor DH bit off a mouthful when he decided to replace our retaining wall I'm afraid, the temps (near 100 today) are flagging his resolve. Think he figured an OT today @ work was better than lifting landscape timbers. He's displaced @ least 3 pick up truck beds full of dirt & mostly clay...another of my bright ideas that clunked.

mac - I've got 3 cats (2 use litter box upstairs near bathroom - fitting LOL) and 1 in the basement. They make a bigger mess than our 2 dogs! I go and buy 2 cart fulls of litter @ the $ store each month, the clerks just look @ me strangely. Probably think I live w/50 cats. We're @ the point where we just dump the litter twice a week & hope for the best. I'm always leary of watching cats - 2 of mine were initially temporary visitors.

mic - my son downloaded the pirates song on his ipod so I can listen to the tune - they occas surprise me w/their thoughtfulness.

We replaced our retaining wall a couple of years ago...it is hard work but it was well worth it...huge improvement from what was there!

Dave called me and said that Aubrey's eye doctor went just okay. He said that she has improved from 7 degrees to 5 degrees and wants to see more of an improvement so surgery is still not out of the picture. We will have to patch one of her eyes for an hour every day and she will go back in 2 months..if no improvement then we will talk about surgery. He told dave that 20-30% of the kids who has had one surgery will need more as their muscles in their eyes grow. So we are just keeping our fingers crossed and hope that she won't need anymore.

oh vacation.....we are leaving Sat. morning and we will be gone until the next sat. or sunday...we haven't decided yet. :teeth:

wow, you're wild & crazy guys! I'm a compulsive vacation planner, overthink & change my mind a zillion times...wish I could wing it. Must be the control freak in me.

Hi Mizlurksalot (luv that screen name!).

:cool1: Cool beans about Aubrey's eye...that is fantastic...every time she goes and no surgery is a plus...... :yay:

KS, that was nice of son to download the pirate songs...yo ho, yo ho, a pirate song for you!! pirate:

I believe Pam & family are heading to Texas for the week...and I think she got tickets to a baseball game, or at least that was the plan...remember the Alamo..... :rotfl:

It is so hot and too hot to be doing stuff outside...

Hiya jules :wave2: Where you been keeping yourself?
