damn and double damn....... i was going to double park in the no parking zone at the international terminal at ohare at midnight tonight and wait for son to clear customs.

then i remembered, duh, ohare is at the highest security level ever. highest in the nation...........the boys in blue will ticket me and cuff me, eh.

mac- good luck at the airport.

RISE AND SHINE

Tony....you overslept....i even beat you up today!! :teeth:

i tucked you all in last night and now i am waking you up.....that hasn't happened in a long time....

have a good day everyone!!

Actaully Pam, TVT let us all sleep in. He had to go to work today..so he must have turned off the alarm and let the rest of us sleep.

It's backwards day here. The kids are eating Pizza for breakfast, then we are off to my friend Jill's for lunch. She is making waffels and we are going to order sandwiches for Dinner.

It shoudl be a fun day. I know my kids are excited.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Good luck at the airport Mac. I need to start buying paper plates again. They came out with Disney paper plates. My kids loved them.

No drugs at birth. WOW you are amazing Joanne

Mic - have you found any good deals lately?

KS - Extra Money is always a good thing

Pam - have a good time today.

I'm here folks...heading into a 4 hour meeting on a friggin Saturday...

OCM...this is for you ..... :goodvibes :grouphug:

I think you need few of those...have a good day everyone..... :sunny:

Morning.......have to toot my own horn here.............YES...I WAS AWAKE AND UP AT 4:40 A.M............boo fizzle hoo...........BUT, being the nice person that I am, I DID NOT wake any of my sleeping friends...I let everyone sleep in.........how nice was THAT???? :goodvibes

Woke up with a headache and that was that...can you believe on a Saturday I'm awake at THAT time?????????????? :furious: But, I'm off to the shower and head out early, so I can get back early...........and watch my FABULOUS Red Sox play the O's this afternoon :teeth: ....see if I feel that way when its all over...my sticky keyboard friend will probably be unstuck by then and give me a hard time............YANKS LOST........just had to get that in......... :stir: :p

Momma, I'm off to find some bargains today...hopefully anyway....have a wonderful time with your friend...I'm thrilled you are spending time with someone and the kids are having fun too....... :Pinkbounc :grouphug: Oh, I bought the Disney paper plates (Mickey of course) as soon as I saw them...and also the Dixie Cups....no kids, but I like to eat/drink on/from them

TVT...WTH? a meeting on Saturday? now that just plain isn't right....I have to go in early on Wed. morning for some stupid "values" meeting too...for pete's sake, we have 20 couple employee's and we have to be told what "values" the company wants us to adhere too  I adhere to them everyday when I answer ridiculous questions on the phone and act like I care when people ask them :lmao: This job is not so far away from my retail roots........thought I'd been there, done that.........and I'm right back again :p

Enjoy the day...mac, the airports on hepped up on security, so don't get arrested...remember, orange and/or stripes do not look good on you ;) but if you need us, you have our cell #'s...and speaking of airport security, go read the thread about all security rules of air travel here on the Dis......now that is entertainment at it's finest popcorn::

:wave2:

morning all!

tvt-that's just not right to have a 4 hour meeting on a Saturday :sad2:

sweets- hi- pizza for breakfast? good training for teens and college
you just gave the idea to have one of the leftover slices from yesterday :teeth:

nothing better than pizza :goodvibes

mac- hope you got home from the airport okay!

have a good day everyone :sunny:

hi mic- you came in while i was typing :teeth:

have fun shopping. what stores are you going to?

Hi Muffy....I'm off to Kohl's and Pennies for sure...sales, sales and sales :cool1:

Probably throw in Wal-Mart for the pure thrill :p and a run by the grocery store...I'm primed, primped and ready to roll................see ya :moped:

i'm going to Kohl's too.

I swear i spend so much money there, i should own have of the store

joanne - I actaully hate pizza. I hate the smell of it alone is gross..not to mention the taste. We do backwards day every so often. dinner for breakfast, breakfast for lunch and lunch for dinner.

We also sometimes do dessert first for dinner making it a half backwards day. (That is my favorite)

Good luck trying to find the deals today Mic. And I hope the headache finally went away. I hate when I wake up with a headache.

Have fun at the meeting Tony

I used to shop at khols more than I do now. I'm going to get the kids some fall clothes, but I can wait until Columbus Day sales for that. It really doesn't get cold enough for long pants until then.

Morning fellow shoppers:banana: shop 'till you drop (go pam & muffy). My youngest DS has proclaimed he needed "nuthin" for school. Already got 2 new pairs of shoes, think he's right
boldpurple.gif
, biggest advantage to having boys...don't need the latest get up. He lives in anything w/a sports brand on it (nike, addidas - think shorts & wind pants; t-shirts & sweatshirts). Jeans go unworn, so I've given up & just keep him fitted in 1 pair plus his church clothes. He's a low maintenance kiddo but, I think the hormones are starting to kick in...*ell is right around the corner.popcorn:: My oldest 2 DSs would be fine then something minor would set them off & the drama would ensue. I hear girls are so much worse, don't remember being moody @ that age:lmao: .

I'm big on Pennys & the outlet stores (consider it my hobby, if you will). Youngest is still wearing things passed-down from 26 year old. Look brand-new, thank goodness the pants don't show any wear - almost indestructable IMO

mac - off w/the maid's head...excellent call on being good @ the airport, wouldn't want to rile anyone up there. I just hope I can carry my chapstick on in Oct. Don't know what people w/contacts will do on long flights (guess they'll have sore eyes or wear their glasses)...gotta go along with the tide.

ocm - thought my DH was the only person on earth that hates pizza...always got to order him a steak hoagie. Have you tried flatbreads, "white" pizza or pierogi (muffy would like that, I guess:goodvibes ).

mic - you could set up a "value city"...sit them pups down & tell them how it is.LOL One of the reasons I shudder to re-enter the work force, having a snot-nosed know-it-all tell be about values. :darth: may the force be with you!

tvt - dedicated hard working thong master...it's a dirty job but, someone's got to do it.;)

BTW...are you ready for some football??? Bought my chicken wings (and cheesecake - I'll have a bite for everyone) & got the fryer primed up & ready to go tonight. Have I mentioned that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the current world champions?

Seize the day!

Hi all.........was home by my targeted "be back" time...I did good...for me anyway, I usually get sidetracked and am never back when I want to be...found some good sales. Some costume jewelry I've had my eye on was part of the Early Bird sale at Kohl's!! :cool1: Bought something cute for our new one at work...I think my co-worker will be surprised I thought to get a gift...at least I hope so.......found out my favorite Hallmark Store closed, and the "other" H. Store in the mall moved into it's place, keeping it's old location open too :confused3 our mall is not that big, makes no sense to me.

Back to watching a little baseball.......then I feel a nap coming on...4:30 wake up this morning has me sleepy.........just dh and I here, so we are doing a veggie supper I think....fresh corn, cucumbers, tomatoes and I have some zucchini to cook up...........good eating....... :goodvibes

hey all...

mic-glad you did well at Kohl's :thumbsup2
that's nice of you to get something for your co-worker :)

after paying my bill i spent another $200.00
bough Cliff a air of shoes on clearance for dinner while at WDW.
he doesn't like thm but he's wearing them :teeth:
i'm don't have a fashion sense, but he's worse :rotfl:

ks- i have had that pizza and it is good, but no one likes it.
so i get by myself sometimes

mac- i haven't seen you today, did you make it home? :teeth:

sweets- you'll like pizza when i kidnap you ;)

pam- hope you're having a nice day

Tony- finished with the meeting yet

i think i talk about pizza too much.
there must be a pizza anonymous somewhere

Speaking of pizza....I just saw on Unwrapped on the Food Network a place that sells a taste of Chicago by mail...it is deep dish pizza, hot dogs, ribs and cheesecake...to the tune of about $90  expensive eating right there

I've been eyeing a necklace at Kohl's (just costume, Napier) and the sale paper indicated they weren't on sale :guilty: but when I got there, it was part of the Early Bird, so I got it!! Nothing special, just liked it.

I'm so sleepy...I took a cat nap while watching the baseball game, now I'm ready to settle down...but gotta finish changing the linens on the bed......ya know we have a mighty big crowd in that thing.........so we need clean sheets!! ;)

i am here.

you can tell son is home, he hogged the computor all day long.
he is not out at the mall.

i tried to get on the dis at 2:22 this morning but is was done.
dang, i was going to yak to myself but plans were afoul.....

left the house at 11:40 pm last night as the plane was to land at 11:59. as i was enroute, plane to land at 12:10 am........i just used the redial on the cell to get updates as i drove. no traffic last night and ended up at ohare international terminal at 12:10ish.

reader digest version:
2 coppers handing out tickets for illegal parking
many tow trucks towing even when the owners would not get out of the car.

i circled many times over until i re parked again at 1:20....then tow truck man parks next to me and and lets me know i am next.

yippee skippee, son comes out within 2 minutes of that and in the car at 1:25.........he is happy, i am happy...and no tickets from the boys in blue

slept on the couch at 3ish and stupid cat woke me up on going from 5:30 on .
finally feed her at 6:30 and then cat still would not let me sleep.
ended getting up around 7:30 and went to curves after drinking a pot of coffee.

once it was noon, i was awake.

i will be back later.

pam, i like your wake up calls. is that how you get your kids out of bed in the morning.???

yep mac that is how i get them up :teeth:

finished my garage sale--made around $200!!! that is alot considering the most i had on my stuff is a buck---got rid of a ton of stuff todday :cool1: :cool1:

i'm still stuck....we decided not to go shopping until tommorow :guilty:

muffy - when I'm feeling creative, I make a pizza on a Boboli (sp) crust w/marinated artichokes, black olives, sliced tomatoes, parmesan cheese - yum.! Guess it's be a white pizza, maybe a flatbread - what ever it's good.

mac - you're a brave lady messing w/them chicago coppers.

pam - congrats, hurry & spend it all fast.

mac, cover your eyes...

mic - I think i'm the only person on the planet that doesn't like Chicago style pizza...reminds me of a casserole? Don't tell mac, those Chicago people are proud of their pie.;)
