Sammie has her check up at the doctor at 11am next Monday as well. I need the paperwork filled out for her to go to school. I'm sure I'll cry when I drop her off too. School for her and Julie starts Aug 28th or 29th whichever is a Monday

muffy - cheesecake to go...do they still sell those bite size things you were supposed to eat one of...yeah, right.LOL

ocm - I'll go beaching any day of the week, have swimsuit will travel. I just go to omar the tent maker for my models.

deena - hope you all adjust soon...I'm already depressed & school doesn't start for almost 2 weeks...house is always so quiet & empty..."almost" makes me start thinking about returning to the work force (maybe I'll take up crochet). My occupation of choice sort of sucks in that you don't get paid unless you produce (real estate). I was never disciplined enough to set aside tax money out of my commission checks & I really boo-hoo'd when I filed.

Woke up this am to awful noise outside front of house. Took a quick shower & threw on robe. Neighbor is using a tree service (one we used a few years ago-to boot) to remove large tree in front yard. They had a gigantic wood chipper, running, parked 6 smack up against my newly painted caddy. It used to be green, now it's more of a tan...absolutely covered in wood chips/sawdust. I asked them if they knocked on my door to ask me to move it...no, they were just going to "blow it off" @ the end of the work day. When I asked them to move the truck & chipper so I could back my car down the street, they refused saying I had a "good 6 inches...if you don't know how to drive, one of the guys will do it for you..."

Stick a fork in me - I'm done.

Once my head stopped spinning, I called the owner...heads will roll. They stopped work 10 min. after my phone call...now they're standing across the street w/their arms folded & glaring @ my front door...I've done good!

Deena, it's ok to cry, that is part of the job of being Mom...

Momma, I'm reading a series by Susan Anderson....Getting Lucky...check out that one and I'm sure the other in the series will be listed. Nothing "deep" about the story, but a good romantic suspense. I've also started a series by Cindy Gerard...they are good also. That is so nice to hear you had fun at the beach and could relax, that did your soul good.

Pam, at least you take out any frustrations on your keyboard by banging away

KS, I would be livid too about the tree chipper, WTH is wrong with them...and if they had said that to me about "if you can't drive it..blah, blah", I'd have told them off in a country minute.... I will be watching for you on the evening news.......

Ok, a guy at work who is expecting a new addition to his family, first baby actually, called and his wife has gone into labor! We are all so excited! They are having a girl...boy, I've been trying to tell him what a life change will be happening for them.......

Much, much cooler here today, but raining, so there is some humidity in the air.

nope, never typed on a typewriter....only learned on a computer...my class was the first to have the computers that year...before that was the electric models

i have been out in my garage all morning...my mom and i are having a garage sale on saturday...i am hoping to declutter alot of stuff!

i couldn't get on the computer do to the carpenter most of the day except for a here and there period. trying to get the house in order now.

i replaced 7 doors that were severly damaged.

they were put up 3.5 weeks ago and 2 do not fit correctly.

the carpenter came to measure and said he will be back later next week.
only problem, next week is booked to do other things.
taking todd back to college.

since it would be an 11 hour trip rt w/out stops, i get a room for one night.
might do another night cooming back on friday if i get a late start home
meaning if we don't get all his crap in the room on the 14th floor, and then to walmart to buy the stuff he forgot to pack like every time we have done this, i might not hit the road until 6:30-7:00 that friday night.
i'll drive for 3 hours and then get a room. then only drive 3 hours the next day to home.


i like motels.
i can watch any channel on the tv and most have hbo.
we don't have hbo.

Yes, right before I left the office, the co-worker checked in...no baby as of yet....they had given her an epidural at that point. The reason she went in this morning was that her water had broke, so they will not let her go more than 24 hrs. I'm sure without delivering. They have so many drugs now to get things rolling along..........unlike the dark ages when I hatched my kids..you lay around in agony until they popped out or in my case, were surgically removed

Oh, those old typewriters were hard to work...electrics were just coming into use when I took typing in school. Typing is actually one skill I have kept and do pretty well...no hunting and pecking...my fingers are always in the proper positions.........
