Good morning....and that ^^ is my new favorite smiley!

Mac, I'll telll ya and make it easy...my Mickey "thingy" is an album, but Creative Memories has something new, which this one is, its just a coverlet...another words just a cover, you add your own pages...and the reason for not coming with the pages as their other albums do, is that you can buy the color pages that you want, not what comes with it...they come in white, natural, black and sparco. I always was big into the white, but I've come to like the natural. SO, I now have a Mickey coverlet to put pages in!
Now I just have to find the time and energy to assemble the layouts and get my pictures ON the pages.........

I'm happy your son is returning home, I know you have missed him.

We have a lot of late to classers, but some are traveling, some are just busy. We always miss them though and they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Muffy, it is hot and sticky here too, I'm darn sick of it! KS hates fall, but I'm so ready.......so I'll compromise......just get down to comfortable 70 degree weather and I'll be happy

Not to fear, Gigantor is back from fighting crime in a city by the ocean in Maryland for the past week. Great weather for the beach and boardwalk. A great time was had by all....except the criminals that is. Talk to you later.

I am back from the scrapping party..........I did NOT need to buy a thing, I have more scrapping supplies than common sense or money BUT Deena will appreciate this, I got a new album that is red with Mickey Mouse on the cover...and a Mickey Mouse layout set with stickers etc....I saw a lot of stuff but held myself back.........like I said, I have WAY to much in supplies.......we had fun though and it was good to see all the new stuff...

I like it! I have been bad lately. I have been buying albums at Michaels with my 40% coupons.
I was at there just yesterday and I found some neat things on clearance. I got 2 of these:

It was 9.99 and the shelf tag said $5 but when I checked out they were 2.99!

P.S. ~ Sorry I haven't been around much, Rave. I've just been spending so much time online getting ready for school. Checking on my online class, paying off bills, looking for supplies, checking emails, checking to see if my books are available etc., I haven't wanted to spend any more time online than I already have to.

We pulled in about 11pm last night and was to tired...unpacked the van and went to bed!

I was so glad that I got to check in, but I didn't get to read any because what they called a computer and what I call a computer is totally different! I could NOT read the screen very well at all and then when I went to type the keys wouldn't work all that well.....so it was short but sweet!

i really like kid rock.

okay, i will post a mini report...i will post some pictures later as I am being lazy right now

When we got to Dallas we called my cousin and spent the evening with her. She will be back here in a couple of weeks for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding ann.
Sunday we went to Six Flags. The kids had a blast. I can't believe some of the rides that Aubrey went on!!! We had a few meltdowns but all in all everyone had a fun time and slept well that night!

Monday we called the ball park to find out that they were doing tours of Ameriquest field. So we went over and Dave was in heaven there as we toured the ballpark. We then watched the Yankees kick some butt! The boys were a little disappointed as none of the players really signed autographs...i think I saw Derek Jeter sign like 4 autographs. After the game we all got ready for bed as we were all excited to be going to San Antonio. We heard a drip, drip, drip....you got it....our ceiling was leaking!!! So at 11pm we were changing rooms!

Tuesday we left and drove down to San Antonio. The kids loved our hotel as it was right on the riverwalk. We just hung out and went on the boat tours. I have got to tell you...that would be a perfect place for a meet! You really don't need a car, hotels are not that bad priced, and there is alot of action right there on the riverwalk! Something to think about for a future meet!

Wednesday we went to Sea World. We were to call one of Trent's friends family to let them know that we were at sea world as they were there the same time. You know, it is funny how you run into people in such a big place. They forgot their phone at their aunts and we were walking out of a show and ran right into them. So we spent the day with them at Sea World. We did do the dining with shamu. I have to say it was just okay. I kinda thought it would be more than what it was, but i am glad to do it once...probably won't do it again though!

Thursday we went back to Sea World and did the water park there. Our friends did the same thing and we all decided that we would do it for a few hours and then go and get cleaned up and then do the riverwalk for dinner together.
We decided that once we got to our hotel that we were going to go to Galveston in the morning so we all settled into bed. At 1am in the morning we woke up to this awful sound...we finally woke up enough to realize it was the fire alarm going off! We collected all of our kids and walked down the stairs to find out everything was okay and someone had pulled the fire alarm.

Friday we check out and start the drive to the ocean. Deena, you can have your houston traffic...it was AWFUL!!!! When we got to Galveston it was worth it and the kids had a lot of fun there. We ate at the Rainforest cafe...the kids were amazed by this one...we only have a smaller version of that one in kansas city.
We drove back up by Dallas on friday...i did see the turn off to Deena's town but i didn't have any of her phone numbers so didn't have anyway of getting with her. I waved at her though as we were going past her turn off!

Saturday we let the kids sleep in and then we got on the road...we did see a 10 car pile up...i have to say that was the first time I ever have seen that big of a wreck. It was a long drive back but we had a good week!

That is our week in a nutshell. I will post a few pictures when i can actually find my camera

Nothing wrong with buying stuff at 40% off...good deal also. Of all the scrapbook supplies that I will buy anyplace.. I do stick with the CM albums, I just like them. I've gotten a couple off ebay at good prices. I really loved this Mickey one and go their website Deena, they have a 7x7 red one with a Mickey head on it...cute..........OH and they have a double punch out that is Mickey icon (a little different cut-out shape) and the other side is like Tinks dazzle....the star thingy....can't really describe it, but hope you know what I mean.........I've not scrapped in months and that is no lie....the girls last night laughed when I said I have a sheet over my table of stuff so it won't get dust on it...and that is the truth also

Gigantor, you are back and I'm with mac, you didn't get rusty did ya? Sounds like a good time was had by all....bet it was hot...although hot at the ocean is better than hot inland...........welcome back

Pam, loved the trip report...sounds like barring the few incidents at the hotel (ok, you will talk about those years down the road as a great funny memory) you had an awesome trip. So glad it all went well, you met friends and had fun. Oh give me some food porn and tell me what you had at Rainforest and where else you guys ate!! Yep, sounds like super trip, waiting for a few pics....

Jules, welcome...I know you are getting excited about school. My son starts around the end of August I think. He is doing M, T, W, T evening classes. Good luck to both of you!!

Pam & Gigantor, be glad you weren't here, it got might crowded at Tony's place and feathers were flying On my, the bed will really be crowded with you guys back...hey, maybe we need Ed to get out the old van that is down by the river and load us all up for a road trip
