Hot Toddy

1 and one half ounces Whiskey
1 ounce Honey
one third ounce Lemon Juice
3 ounces Water (Hot)
If you have a microwave, the easiest way to make this drink is to warm the honey and lemon juice for about half a minute and then to add hot water and the whiskey. Otherwise, we recommend that you stir the honey and lemon juice into extremely warm water, allow it to cool slightly, and add the whiskey.

If you're not inclined to make a hot toddy, I recommend a shot of ice cold Stoli's (keep a bottle in the freezer ). Unfortunately my BP has gotten the better of me & doc put me on pills a year or 2 ago. Side effect is one drink & my face looks like a tomatoe...don't drink, don't smoke, what do you do?

The sun is shining...we are off to Baltimore tonight to see my beloved "boys" play ball..........sure hope they keep on shellacing the O's.......figure cause we are going they will lose It looks like it will be a chilly evening, so I will go prepared for the chill...

Ed, how is the rain/flooding in your area? Has it calmed down and starting to go back to normal? Hope all is well or at least improving.

It has been a crazy day here so far! The kids seem to be wound for sound!!! Hopefully it will be nice enough to take them outside later!

Aubrey's t-ball ended up getting cancelled last night due to the coach getting hurt at work...try to tell a 4 yr. old that her practice was cancelled she was sad!!! I told her there will be more though!

Did anyone watch Grey's last night?!?!?! I didn't like the way it ended, but i guess they wanted you to hang until next season!

Bummer on t-ball practice. That reminds me -- I still haven't heard anything about Cam's t-ball season. No calls from coaches or anything.

Yep, we watched Grey's Anatomy last night -- good episode, not too bad of a cliffhanger, though. Parts of it seemed to drag, parts annoyed the heck out of me, but overall, I thought it was a good finale.

back from the hospital.
i need some surgery.
sent hom with antibiotics and pain meds.
have to wait 5 days for the infection to go down.

i have stones in my salivary glands. my neck is one a halfback would be proud of. quite swollen and full of infection.

going to have the stones surgically removed. was told they cut inside the mouth under the tongue to remove them.


i bet this will hurt.
have to call the surgeon now and set things up.

at least i am going to live..............i was just joshing about going to die last night. i still feel horrid.

sorry about the t ball cancellation. tell aubrey i will give her my stones to make her feel better.

Sorry Aubrey's practice was called...don't they have an assistant coach? to fill in? seems odd...what if it had been a game?? Full of quetions ain't I...LOL

Bob, I'm assuming all the kids make t-ball, you are just waiting to see what team he is on? Our little league stuff here started the season the next to last weekend in April. Our town always has a ride around town with the teams and firetrucks etc..it gets quite noisey

My grandson is just about done his season of t-ball. Gets too hot in AZ, so his season started earlier than most and they are just about finished up. They are also going to the D'Backs park to see a game and get to run around on the field...won't that be amazing...all those little ballplayers on that big field!! It will be fun for them though and make them feel like big-leaguers.

micky4ver - I'm pretty sure Mom was yanking my chain...know when I bred dogs, I was constantly worming them puppies!

pam - hope they have the 10 batter rule in your league or you'll be sitting thru some long games...only caught 1 gray's anat. - the one where the bomb guy got blown up @ the end - so disturbing & realistic looking (I had nightmares , haven't watched it since).

ed's recipie for the hot toddy's looking better by the minute.

Yes, he'll be on a team, I was just wondering when he started practices and games, since I thought when I signed Cam up, they said practices started in May sometime.
