Ok, I'm sure you all aware, gas is HIGH in price.... SOOOOOOOO...I go out to sit in my van for a bit at lunch, it's so nice out...and a big ole Cadillac Escalade or whatever their suv looking thing is sitting next to my pitiful little (but paid for ) van..........RUNNING, with windows up and a radio playing.........not a person in sight inside, so I'm thinking it has to be maybe a dog in there...well, this woman was in here for well over an hour...made me think of just rolling up $$$ bills and putting them in your gas tank to burn. Heck, I cringe everytime I turn the ignition on my van and drive anyplace, and she is just letting her tank run in a parking lot.

just got done planting my flowers...now the excitment to see if they actually come up! I planted some gladoilis(sp) and some tulips...which are already an actual flower..so I hope they stay alive I still have some wild flowers i have to plant and some other bulbs that I can't remember at the moment. I also want to get some lillies and plant them out by my mailbox....
I am hoping to turn my brown thumb into a green thumb and keep something alive!

yes mac, I did my share of the work, you didn't do it all I watched AI....Katharine needs to go and so does Paris....yick on both of them....Chris has about blown his voice, but I love "Renegade" and he did an awesome job with it...I like Elliott, but he always seems a little uneasy to me, maybe just nervous still....and I thought the second song was supposed to be contemporary? so how did Taylor get by with a Beatles tune? He was ok, but I'm still with Chris I think........ole Katharine is depending on the looks to carry her more than her talent I think...her father should be crying with that first song she sang

Off to catch Blow Out on Bravo.........gotta love Jonathan, the man who loves hair.........and the money his knack of fixing it brings him I like the first 2 seasons better, this season he is more obnoxious and it's wearing thin with me

YES (yankee channel) is showing an old yankee/red sox playoff game.
it's amazing how in 3 years so many players are gone from both teams

Unless I see the Bosox on Espn or Fox, I don't get the games....I'm too far removed from my Yankee roots... but I listen to them on the computer....on WEEI...heck, I'm part of the Nation..... To be honest, I love watching a game, but sometimes, its just as exciting to listen via the audio broadcast, they are so much better than the clods they have on national TV.....those "when I played, I did this or I did that, or if I was playing, I would have made the play this way...blah, blah blah announcers

after going to dd 6th science fair and talking to some of the other mothers,
i found out my kids will be the wild ones in the neighborhood because

Morning everyone

My MIL will be here bright and early tomorrow. So, I am off to set my house up for company today.

Yesterday Nico came home and he said that a friend of his punched him, so Nico hit him back, then told the teacher. So, I'm taking him into school to see if the teachers know anymore.

The mom did have the boy call and apologize and I said very clearly, I WILL NOT have Nico apologize. I'm not sure how the other mom took it, but I really dont care. Nico got himself out of the situation, usin g his instinct, then went and got help. Not only that, but he came right home and told me everything.

So, last night, I explained to Nico that he did EXACTLY what he was suppose to do. Get himself out of the situation, get immediate help, then come home and tell me.

Nico was not put on time out for hitting him back when he told the teachers and the other boy was put on time out. So, apparently the teachers agreed with me on this one. Which is great because one of the teachers has over the year become a freind. The other teacher is about the age of Mic and Mac, but she was born and raised in DC. We get along well too.

sweetlovin - is she a good MIL or a bad one? I've had both. Call me old school but, always told My 3 Sons, to wail on back (except if it's a girl) & we sort it out later. It's a jungle out there...

Bought the same microwave - boring! They put an upgrade on it that I didn't notice...some sort of sensor that automatically sets power & time when you hit cook for certain items (i.e. baked potato). Guess I do have to read the directions - darn it.

We've got a chorus/chamber singer concert for youngest DS tonight. I almost fell asleep during the band one last week.

Speaking of which...was AI a snooze or was it just me? I like Chris but, think he may be next, or Paris.

Finally, watched this week's 24; it was stange too(?) Kept popping out of the luggage compartment like a jack-in-the box. Hope most of the air marshalls are a step above that joker.
