Momma, don't know the answer to your dilemma with the in-laws/out-laws and your side of the family. . .
BUT since you asked....just remind everyone that they
ARE adults, it is
ABOUT the children....either a recital or a soccer game, and for the sake of the
KIDS and the joy of seeing
their grandchildren perform a dance or make a goal,
they can all put up with each other for a short period of time....they don't have to be bosom buddies, they can be civil, enjoy their grandchildren and everyone can walk away happy, especially Nico and Julie when they have all their grandparents there cheering them on..and that is my 2 cents....

I'm not always thrilled with my DIL's family, but when they are around when we visit the kids, I put up with them and maybe they feel the same about us

, but we all are friendly and civil...it isn't that long of a time to put aside personal differences and get along
MAC....you silly girl, thinking the meet was this weekend....guess what, the SURPRISE IS ON YOU....not us! Hope you don't mind, but I'll share...mac called me, she is on a trip and very close to ME.....she thought we were meeting this weekend and was gonna surprise US....
I didn't have many plans for Easter, but seems we may end up eating at my inlaws....yummmmmmmm
