Ocm--you are learning how to cook and clean now huh?!
That's great...in these neck of the wood our oven is our fireplace and our dishwasher is my dh, we have to go out to the creek to get water..oh and our light is by candle and my internet is coffee cans!!!

Morning all

Happy New Year's to us -- both boys are sick this morning. Ryan's most likely just teething (not that it makes him feel any better ), but Cameron's got a fever and woke up this morning throwing up.

Fortunately, our long time babysitter is in town one more day before she goes back to college.

Not in the least. Dont go spreading these crazy rumors about me knowing how to cook and clean. LOL! It's not happening. The new range is a flat top and has the knobs on the back of the stove. So my little people cant grab them. And the Dishwasher broke. I felt bad for the maid. She hd to wash all the dishes by hand. And I had to do it once too. That was it. I ordered the new dishwasher that night and went and bought paper plates and cups until it came.

My friend told me he was going to get me an Iron for Christmas. I dont want that for April Fools either! I wouldnt know what to do with it.

well, i have an iron...but it is in the highest self way in the back...i know where it is and i still refuse to use it! my theory is just to stick the clothes in a dryer with a damp cloth...that is my type of iron!!!

paper plates are a good thing!!! I use them alot of the daycare kids...make it alot easier to clean up! YES, I'M LAZY AND I ADMIT IT!!!!!

I'm mickey4ver and I'm an ironing addict..........I iron once a week, I can't help it, no wrinkles for this family...we all must go out looking crisp, unwrinkled and perfect creased pants

oh sorry.... had a moment there and forgot this isn't the 12-step help thread.............

Momma, you must really think I'm to be pitied....the only dishwasher in this house is ME or dh will do them on the weekend mornings.........we are repressed aren't we... Exciting to get new appliances, I'm sure the maid will be thrilled to see them...........

Well, I was pretty much excepted at the temp agency I went to today, I had to take tests which freaked me out, but I did pass all of them except in Microsoft Word I'm not to swift with setting up tables and stuff....but I aced the math, spelling, numerical data entry and typing...a couple of them I got a 100%..........I was sweating sitting at that computer...do you know how many years its been since I took a test for work????? They are now checking references and I was pretty much assured I'm working for them or put into the pool to be placed with a business. It is to their advantage to find me something, that is how they get paid So wish me well my friends....temp seems to be the route for me to get my foot in the door someplace....

Momma, thanks for the encouragement....I can use ALL I can get...its a hard thing to switch gears at my age and start looking for office work when all I've done for 10 years is retail and babysit..........so I'm hoping....thanks again

ok, home from school and doctor and it took me more than the usual 3 minutes to play catch up on the thread.......you are always chatty when i am gone.



first: ocm, you have a MAID..............i am speechless.
you send the clothes out to be cleaned and you don't iron.
in my next life, i want to be you............

mic: congrats on the good testing on the temp agency placement. see, all the typing you do here pays off. only issues with temp jobs is they never want to let you go. the one in our area hired two of david's friends.
the company paid the agency 16 an hour for them, but the agency paid the friend 9 an hour. he had to sign an agreement that once he left the agency, he could not be hired for 6 months by the company that last had him.
don't sign the paper mic....

pam: nothing wrong in being lazy.......we will make you the queen bee. that's the bee that relaxes all day long and never works. she makes all the male bees do the work.....and so the saying, busy as a bee.......

and all the bees adore her and protect her.

adam: isn't it fun to be back at work??.......well, let me rephrase it....isn't it fun to be able to go to the grocery store and buy gas for your car so you can go to work.....???
