Hey everyone!!

Ok. I reorgnaized all the furniture in my house yesterday, so that I could figure out what I still need to rent. I know i need a few more tables and chairs and I need a table for the deck for the drink station.

So far it is suppose to be 84 degrees here on Sunday. I am hoping that number goes down just a bit. However, I am very grateful that it is not suppose to rain!

Pam are you ready for Sat?

Mic - you were up early this morning.

Mac - I hope you are having a wonderful trip.

Ed -

Deena - I m sorry I was in a yucky mood last night. It isnt a lot of fun listening to me complain. LOL! I'll be more fun today I promise.

Good Morning all 21 days and counting and sure if your flexible enough to get into the suitcase go for it.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm starting to get out from under the workload but still kind of busy. I went to the IRL race last weekend with the family. It was OK but I really like NASCAR better. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

By the way Ed, my DS lost the 1st game but tied 2 and won 1 since. Here is an action shot of him on defense. He is the one in the middle wearing white. #82

He looks like he is having fun.

My DS6 is playing soccer they have won the 3 games they played,he even scored in his first game. It's one of those every game end in a tie things but the kids know how many goals they score they're 6 not stupid but we always tell them " we arent keeping score we are here to learn" .

sorry to not check in earlier but got some awful news earlier!

one of my daycare families that i watched before the twins were born had a house fire this morning and lost one of their twins and the little boy that i watched for over a year is not doing well! He is in very critical condition and is not responding to any pain. however he did not get burnt but he inhaled alot of smoke.

I just can not imagine what the mom and dad are going through!! I can never imagine losing any of my kids!

sorry to bring this to you all--just being in a really bummed mood today!

Child Dies In Nebraska City Fire
Toddler Resuscitated At Scene Of Fire

POSTED: 11:11 am CDT September 29, 2005
UPDATED: 1:00 pm CDT September 29, 2005

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. -- A fire in Nebraska City has apparently claimed the life of a child.

At about 8 a.m. Thursday, a neighbor reported smoke coming from a house at 204 4th Terrace in the southeast portion of town. When firefighters arrived, they said flames were shooting from the building and there was a woman outside holding a baby screaming that two more babies were inside.

One child was found dead.

Firefighters found a 3-year-old with no pulse or respiration. They resuscitated the child and she was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City, then transported to Omaha.

The woman told firefighters that she had gotten up at 6 a.m. to feed her baby and she noticed the house was freezing. She said they have an automated heater that should kick on when the temperature inside the house dips.

The very next thing the mother remembered, firefighters said, is waking up at 8 a.m. and seeing the house filled with smoke.

The fire is under investigation.

make sure you go home and hug your babies today...i know i have been doing it to all of these kids all day!!!!!

Oh my, Pam, what a sad, sad story....you have a reason to be bummed today....how awful. Yes, we never know what life will bring, good or bad....I'm thinking of you :grouphug:

Oh Pam that is so awful. I cannot imagine losing one of my kids either. Lots of prayers going out for that family. I hope the other boy makes it.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all doing fine this beautiful (at least here in NJ) day. I normally only post on a few threads here at the DIS and I just wandered over to the "thread killer" thread because it has similar numbers as we do. I saw a top poster who goes by the name of KimRaye and that brought back some good memories.

One thing is we share the same birthday month and year. When I first started out on the DIS KimRaye had a post offering a Birnbaums Guide that she didn't need anymore and I was fortunate enough to get it from her. We kept in touch over a few years but somehow, we lost contact. That was until yesterday when I saw her name and PM'ed her. We are now starting to catch up on each others lives.

So, if you happen to see KimRaye pop onto the test thread, she's a keeper.

ed--love that picture!!!

ocm--how is the party planning going...almost done???

mic--how is the lady who gets on your last nerve--got one left for her today?

deena--i am so glad that things are getting back to normal--how many times have you had to evacuate over the years?

I'm little freaked out abotu the party right at the moment.

Adam - I forgot to tell you, your little boy is PRECIOUS!!!

And we know SOMEONE has a bday on SUNDAY!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

HI friends......

Yes Pam, she has gotten on my last good nerve today, I'm about to tell the higher-ups that is she does not stop complaining about my vacation, that I'm so out the door....I don't need her constant whines and drama....I can find another job in the system now...the proverbial foot is in the door so to speak.

Adam, I'm sorry I missed the post with the picture of your son yesterday, I was really reading thru the thread fast......so sorry....what a GREAT shot and he looks like he is having fun!!! So cute

Ed, we will have to gang up this weekend against Pam.......GO SOX....what a game last night....of course I could only see hi-lights, but it was something to behold.....PAPI RULES......oh my gosh, when he swings the bat it is a thing of beauty.......don't follow the NL....Adam, where did Houstan end up this year? I will be sooooo disappointed if I don't get to watch playoffs and such with our son when we are in AZ....that was so much fun last year.......

Well, back to the sea of paperwork I've got..........I may get myself unhitched from this chair and let MY feelings be known about what is going on. To make a long story short, all the stuff that this gal was supposed to not be getting away with anymore after her drama queen routine last week, has been "forgiven" and she is having her backside kissed again....well, its not all sitting to well with me... :sad2: It will all be fine, its just nice to have my friends to vent to..........I think my dh is sick of me whining already.....at least you don't have to read....LOL...he can't turn his hearing off... :earboy2: :rotfl:

Luckily not many. Once as a kid I remember beng stuck out on the roads. Not near as bad as this time but still around a 6 hour trip (for a really 2.5 hour trip).
We stayed for Alicia and lots of ppl probably should have left for TS Allison because we were hit with MAJOR flooding. The storm just stayed right over us raining a lot for about a 24 hour period. Luckily our house was okay.
