Ok, I know you guys are interested in the game. The team won! I was catcher and I did ok. I got a few people out on foul balls. I got to trash talk a little bit and some of the guys had really good butts. So, that was fun.

As far as hitting. You know its bad when you have to walk up and ask someone how to hold the bat. Yes, that would be me. I did hit the ball into the outfield all three times, but the other team caught it. Each time, I did manage to get the other runners onto second and thrid base. (Apparently, I am good at getting people to those bases quickly! )

It was fun, the game lasted well over two hours (and their pitcher hit me with the ball twice, but they dont call balls, just swinging strikes.) so I am a little bruised up. But it was fun and if they need me to fill in again, I would.

I have to, Lee is the coach. I have to support the team!

On a more personal note. Mommy brag. My kids were AMAZINGLY good. We were there well over 4 hours (Lee insisited on watching the two teams inteh first game) and they did wonderful. I was very proud of them.

I can just see it now,

OCM in the catchers position, batter steps up to the plate, the pitch is on the way. OCM mutters "nice butt", the batters head quickly turns......steeeeerike 1.

Next pitch is on the way, "do you happen to use that Buns O Steel tape?" Batters head whips around.....steeeeerike 2!

Next pitch is on the way, "hey batter, I just love the way your legs go up and make a butt of themselves!".......STEEEEERIKE 3!





Great news about the kiddies too. I just love when they behave in public. Nothing more enjoyable than getting a "your kids are so well behaved" statement from another parent. Little do they know..........

Woohoo...our own little Miss Softball......a catcher no less, very impressive position for a newbie.......and you are right, the view is good.....Adam, you are right on, she could have a whole new career going for herself and become the catcher extradonaire

Oh boy, do I agree when the littles make like humans instead of little wild animals while you are out...........good for them....it is usually fun for the kids though cause there are other kids around at ballgames to play with....glad it was a good family evening....

Evening all......supper is done, just waiting to feed the bed buddy when he gets in around 7...........then my day is complete...

I decided last minute to call for haircut/color tomorrow....so that will be part of my day..........its hotter than hades here too.............

We are coming up on 7/2 on an anniversary....the anniversary of mac starting this thread....I didn't join in til early August I think, but I still feel like a founding mother...LOL...to honor our year, I thought it would be fun to start posting things from the past year, as a reminder to why we all like each other, have hung together and why our thread has continued on, through thick and thin....what do you think?

We could start anytime reminiscing ( copy and paste comes to mind)............let me know if you think this would be fun...we could do it for a couple days to honor our thread, our testers, our friendship and to the fun we have had this last year together.. and for those that came and left quickly.....their loss for not sticking around..........
