mac, glad you got some shopping done from the privacy of your own computer...lol...that is cool...less wear and tear on the nerves that way...<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZZzebYYY' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_80.gif' alt='Presents Under The Tree' border=0></a>

HI Mic!! I love the last two smilies!! And I completely agree with your nice cusotmer..I dont think you look old enough to be a grandmother.

It is cold, windy and flurrying (is that how you spell that?) here too!!! But, that is ok, it makes me feel like I am home.

The outlaws are here and so far they havent been too bad. Just wait until DH is at work all day and I am here to entertain them. YUCK!!!

will they be there on thursday???

just thinking that day would be entertaining

i don't get it ocm.

you move to a new place and city recently (within the last 6-7 weeks) and have had a baby and probably don't know the city very well yet yourself.

hope they don't expect you to take them around town and show them the sites...............the only places you probably know at this point is the gym and pediatrians office...........

they should be entertaining you.!!
they could watch and play with the littles while you sleep or get out of the house for a break.
jmho

LOL Mac - I dont get it either!!! As it is, I am an hour north of the city, so driving there and exploring the area really doesnt sound appealing, since I will more than likely get lost a few times. Trust me..I get lost easily. Not only that, but they would have to follow me. They dont fit in my van with three carseats!

I dunno, my first plan tomorrow is to wake up..then go to the gym for an hour. By the time I get back it will be 11 an 11:30 when I am done showering and things.

I have heard there is a mall downtown that is a cool thing. It is on peachtree rd. Do you know how many freakin' peachtree roads there are here? So we will see how this works.

I would love for them to help like you are saying..but I dont think that is going to happen. I think I will tell them to meet Dh for lunch one day. With traffic the way it is here, that will take up most of one day!

Headache finally went away...yipeeee! I only had to take 6 ibuprofen today.
Got the little ones 2 more toys even though I said I was done with them and the boys drew names. Im to poor to give them stuff from me and then everyone give everyone something too--that would be 25 gifts alone! lol so they just draw names and have a low limit $5-$10.

....tell them his office is on Peachtree Rd...... :earboy2:

My son so sheepishly asked me the other night if Dad and I would watch the boys one night so he, wife and my youngest could go out for an evening to dinner or movies....I said "you have to ask?"....listen, that is what grandparents are FOR...(and I don't mean to abuse the amount of time you expect grandma to babysit..lol)....I love letting my kids have some "grown up" time and us keeping the little ones....seems that is the least your in-laws could do...they haven't seen you guys in a while...so spend some quality time with the 3 of them and let you and hubby have an adult evening...like mac, JMHO....and you know I don't charge for my opinion...I just give it... :earboy2:

I am so glad you told me that. My mom is one of 13, so they all pick anmes, but I was wondering at how many kids do you start that. I had to get and extra 6 presents - two from each of the kids to each other...and I thought..hmmm, if I have two more, can I stop this! LOL!

I am soo glad your headache finally went away. It is frustrating to be sick when you have so much to do. Hopefully tomorrow you wont have to take any ibuprofen.

LOL! About buying more presents...I think my kids are only getting two big presents each from Santa. They have so many other gifts coming from so many other people, I just dont have the room for more toys.

Glad your head is not aching anymore 4GB's...

Don't you love when you tell yourself NO MORE presents for anyone...and you always manage to buy something else....LOL....I've cut myself off also, but there are still a couple shopping days left....I might crack and buy something :earboy2:

When my mom was still with us she used to buy the kids so much at Christmas time it used to make me a little mad. I mean mom & dad and Santa were outdown by the woman but now that she is not with us anymore its one of the things I miss most.

i am just the opposite of my mother. once we were in school and 6 years old, we would get only one present for christmas. and that one present stopped when we turned 16.........i don't think she liked us very much....

when my boys were little i did what ocm did. i would buy two things for todd to give his brothers from him, the same for david and brian and jason.
turned out to be too much. i tried to keep it at junk toys that would get broken , lost, destroyed within a week...............then no tears when the toy was gone.

i had to buy the kids items in a color scheme, red, blue, green............
the only way to keep sane in trying to figure out what item went to which kid.

drawing names is good...........

the only exchanging here if for the boys to each other. its good they like each other. they are close also. i always wanted at least three kids so if and when the time came that their dad and i weren't around anymore, they would have each other for family. we don't have contact with much of either family.

deena, so glad your headache is gone. you just can't think straight when the head pounds. hopefully, it won't come back.

mic: i bet you are excited about the kids being with you!! you will be in your glory having them all to yourself for this visit. and now you get the babies to yourself. i don't think we will be hearing from you on dec 23 when they arrive from out of town.

i have to leave around 10 and go to the mall. the stores are staying open til midnight and one son just mentioned something he wants.

mac, you are too much...heading out to the mall....NOW???? yikes, I'm in bedclothes and ready for bed..and you're going shopping :earseek:

i have my jammies on.......i just throw a coat, long one, over and go.
doesn't everyone shop like that late at night???

NOT AT ALL!!! I like to shop at 5-6am. No one there and you are already accomplishing something for the day.

our grocery store in town used to be open 24 hours. i would shop at midnight, 1-2 am..........insomnia and also the kids would be asleep and their dad would be home sleeping also.

during the day, i would have to take them with me.

when the kids were preschoolers, they got up at 5 am, all early risers..... then when they got older they did sleep later but not that much.

the grocery store now closes at 10 pm.......and my late shopping days are over. only at christmas time they are open late......even walmart closes at midnight.

see you all later..........

mac, I don't think I've EVER shopped after 9 p.m. in my life....well, maybe at Downtown Disney, but then I bet only once.... :D

i'm out the door now........mic you just haven't lived until you shop late at night............its kewl.

bye all, out to do some damage on the cc.........hope i still have a happy home to come back to when i am done tonight.
