test Part 10

Evening my friends....just tidying up a bit and thought I'd stop by...got busy this afternoon at work and never got back online....

Ok, believe this or not.....I have the a/c back on! It is so stinking humid here...hope this warm front pushes through tonight, as tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day, but mostly 80's next week...my AZ kiddoes will feel right at home ;)

Bob, glad the museum turned into a good day:goodvibes

Happy Weekend All:yay:

Just a quick drive-by.:drive: Hope all is well in your worlds. I'm off to Philadelphia Park for a sibling get-together tomorrow. Haven't bet on the pony's in about 27 years so I hope to have a new round of beginners luck. Sorry I missed Mac's departure. I hope she has a great time. Have a great weekend everyone.

Morning all!

It's just Aubrey and I today, the rest of the gang went to the NU football game.

Have a good Saturday everyone!

forgot to say,

Mac--have a good time...didn't know you were going away so soon. I saw you say you bought an air ticket and car rental though.

Mic--enjoy your boys! Have fun with them!!!

something freaky is happening with this computer...i don't get it but whatever...keeps posting things that i have said in previous post...atleast on my end it does.

Hope everyone is having a good day

Hey Gant....:wave2: be sure and bet on a gray horse, they always win :thumbsup2

Back from the outing at the track and casino. Mic, I took your advice and bet on a grey horse. Unfortunately, there were 2 grey horses in that particular race and the other one won.:sad1:

However, I did pretty well for the day. We as a family have an agreement that we split all of our common winnings. For instance, I take 12 dollars ($2 for each family member) and place a bet on a horse. One of my brothers does the next race and so on until all of the races are over. At the end of the horse racing (I hit for a 40 dollar win and a 34 dollar win) we got back all of our money except 2 bucks each. Not too shabby!

Then we hit the casino with our free $25 in slot play each. (They had a promotion that if you signed up for their gaming card on the internet, you get the $25 of house money that you had to gamble. No cashing out until you had at least $25 of play.) My sister went 1st on a video poker machine and lost her bucks. My oldeset brother hit for $50 and cashed out. Brother #2 lost all of his on a video blackjack machine. Brother #3 hit for $30 and change. Brother #4 hit for $50 and then it was my turn.

I opted to play dueces wild video poker at the same machine my sister lost on. (She is usually really lucky on slots.) I started with $25 and took it up to $35 before coming back down to $20 then I hit 4 dueces for 250 bones!!:cool1: I immediately hit the cashout but I still had $7.50 I had to play. (Remember, you have to have at least $25 of play.) I took that up to $25 and cashed out. When all was said and done, we had gambled on the horses and in the casino for 7 hours, had a nice lunch and we all were $20 ahead at the end of the evening. Quality time with my siblings and getting paid for it? Priceless.

Sorry to ramble on. Hope you all have a great weekend.

gant - you are a winner:banana: ; glad you had a great time.

i enjoy gambling (daily number, slots, sports, dogs/horses; i've even had a friendly bet with DH as to how many messages on answering machine:rolleyes1 ). Runs in the family, brother is a professional caddy/gambler; n'er-do-well, yet manages to support a large family with his ill-gotten gains.

Good think i hate to lose money more than I enjoy gambling; keeps me grounded lol. our rule is "X" amount of money & when it's gone, it's gone...usually no more than a upscale night out; so I guess it evens out.

DH did institute a new rule, i'm not allowed to cash out for voucher until I hit @ least $10 on the slots. Said it's embarrassing cashing in the fistful of slips i give him, most for less than $5:rotfl:

They opened table games (just poker so far), finally; in WV - rather large buyins though; could lose some BIG money in a hurry. Casino in PIT hasn't even broken ground yet due to legal challenges.

:thumbsup2 Good call on the museum, Keisha -- we went this morning to our Children's Museum and Ryan had a blast. :thumbsup2

warm weather - the zoo is great too; hear you have a very nice one in Cleveland.

our local library has lots of interesting programs during the day for toddler too, might want to check it out.

only problem the older kids (in school) would get jealous if we did anything too extravagant lol

morning all!

about ready to take the kiddies to sunday school. Going out to my mom's a little later to draw names for christmas:eek: yes, i said christmas....it will be here before we all know it! Who has started their xmas shopping?

I have to say that I actually have this year...i would say I am about 1/4 of they way done...got a long way to go but hoping to get it done by thanksgiving to beat the crowds.

Gant--i am glad that you had a great time with your siblings. Can't beat a free day out!!!:cool1:

Have a good day everyone!

We all have alot of yakkin' goin' on!!!!:rotfl2:

thanks pam :thumbsup2 , what no bonus points for lengthy yakking?:lmao:

wish DHs family would do a name grab; i just get a present grab every year:rolleyes1 ; def. going to cut down the $ amount I spend to get more in line with cheap-o SIL.

Have 2 giant tupperware containers that I had DH haul in out of storage, has stuff i've bought all year - now to decide who gets what. had my list set up as to inventory/name, it's disappeared. Going to try & wrap some of it this week; wonder if i will lol.

Had the early shift with the lord today, haven't woke up yet; more coffee. Not sure if i shall shop or do yard work today.;)

It's beautiful here, sunny & on it's way to 80:banana: ; seize the day.

had to come back home & post #9,000:)

imagine all that wasted time I could have been cleaning:rotfl:

congrats on the big 9-0-0-0!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

we draw names because there are 5 of us kids add spouses another 5 then add ma and pa= 12 all together. Then there are 14 littles all together...i think that is alot to buy for. So we just have the kids draw names and then have the adults draw names. We(the kids) still get gifts for my mom and dad and then we get gifts from the grandkids to gma and gpa.

On dave's side we just usually buy for his parents. Him and his sisters really aren't that close. Although I usually get something for Malarie as my helper not my niece;) She does ALOT for me and that is the least i could do for her.

I am impressed!!! Ready to wrap already!!!!! I'm not that motivated yet. I seem to wait till the last minute when i have thousands of presents to wrap and get all sore from sitting on the floor for hours. I use to laugh at my mom when she would get up from being on the floor and be all stiff....i'm turning into my mom:scared1:

I think Ed may be coming back today....not sure, i can't remember when he told me he would be back for sure. Hope he is having a great trip!!

Okay, i'm otta here...have a good day everyone...and get busy and do everything you are suppose to be doing:upsidedow

Hiya....just a drive by to let you know my babies big and small arrived safely...guess we got back to the house around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning  the boys weren't too bad to settle down, let them kinda decompress and then we all hit the bed......actually we still are tired :goodvibes

Gant, congrats on fun day with your family and coming out ahead!! Hey, next time if 2 gray horses are there, pick the darker of the two...LOL...usually you don't see 2 gray horses in a race, didn't plan on that contingency......;)

Pam, have fun with the family, KS, get wrappin', then you can do mine.

On the post count update, if we total the twins together, they move up a notch in the standings :lmao:

I honestly wonder what ever happened to Kild, he was so much fun

Ed will be back to the real world......poor dear.....

i got as far as dragging everything into the dining room, and there it sits:laughing:

did get it sorted, thought i had bought lots more by now:sad2: ; need to get cracking.

pam - i'm at the point where i think it's stupid to just exchange gift cards for (adult) nephews; cannot wait until there are 'lil kiddos back in the family.

seemed to be a fast week for Ed, wonder how MNSSHP went? I hope he'll post pics.:rolleyes1

Hey all I'm home from home. I have lots of pictures to go through.

And yes I believe we gave out the answers to the test around page 200, start at page 1 though its more of an essay.

Welcome back ed!!! Can't wait to see all your pictures.

GRUMPY PIRATE--i agree with ed...start on page one--you will find way more than answers:rotfl2: we are quite funny if i do say so myself:rolleyes1

KS--get to crackin'...i figured you would be all wrapped up by now. I have my names so I can start shoppin':thumbsup2

Mic--i am glad your boys arrived safe! Spoil them rotten and have a fun time.

Heading to bed--monday is coming WAY to fast:mad:
