i've put baseball away for another year (we did get a new GM who's trolling for a new coaching blood; can't be worse than the old guard); now it's friday night lights (Go Wolves) and Steelers; seasoned w/some Penguins.

DH had hinted that i try to score tix to the New Years day outdoor exhibition game in Buffalo what was he thinking? It sold out in a couple of hours. Couldn't find 2 seats together for any home game this year, except for the $300 ones. Told them I'd try to score them again in the playoffs...no bad seats in our teeny old arena; soon to be bigger & better thanks to the politicos.

Marc Cuban (the guy on dancin with the stars - big buck daddy) tried to purchase the Pirates; got shot down last year...think it would've been a good thing.

Just got done kicking some major butt in monoply can't win at candyland but i can hold my own in monoply.

Sleep tight everyone! I think i am going to go and watch Titanic since i have never seen that whole movie and then I am going to sleep in tomorrow

Well, looks like the Tribe put it to the Yanks again, just took them a couple extra innings to do it....right now 'we' are losing...I would so love a sweep, but don't see it happening. Oh my, the gnats and bugs were awful in that game...ewwweeee

Off to watch the game...went and did errands after work, so I'm really, really tired...and I think every person in the country went to town this evening, it was awful...I was so glad to just get home.

Pirates out in May I don't care much for football, so youse that do, have fun comparing notes. I love me some baseball, that is my game.

BTW, on our new HD Plasma TV, you could really make out those bugs well -- almost too well.

Soccer's not until 2:25pm tomorrow for us, but Cam's got a private Tae Kwon Do lesson at 9am, so we'll be up early too. He's only two belts from testing for his black belt now.

Morning all!

I slept in today stinks to be all you guys who had to get up early to get your kids places just teasin' ya all!

I am getting my kids ready to go out for lunch and then we are going to go to our Earl May and paint some pumkins...i figure if they are going to let us make a mess there then more power to them.

Hope all your soccer games turn out good for the boys today!

Bob--that is awsome about cam...he will be able to kick anyone's butt soon

Checking back in with y'all. Ashers team won 3-2 today. He even had an assist.

The fishing trip was really fun. I hooked up a bunch of times but did not "land" a salmon this year. Just as well because I don't eat the darned things because of the high level of pollutants in the fish.

Bob, make sure to tell Cam that I'm a good guy so I don't get my butt kicked by him. That is really a great accomplishment.

Pam, hope your pumpkins come out the way you want them to.

Congrats to the Cleveland and BoSox fans. Sorry for our Yankee fan. It doesn't look to promising right about now. I get Readers Digest and found the artwork by C. F. Payne on the back cover of this months issue to be very relevant. It has a beaming BoSox fan (with hat and uniform) on the number 4 subway train headed to Yankee stadium surrounded by not so happy Yankee fans.

gant--i know it doesn't look good for my yankees...i think they just may be the underdog. Indians have just as good hitting line up and better pitching BUT I will still root for the YANKEES Hopefully they can pull it out.

the pumpkins are a painted mess but the kids had a blast painting them...almost got in a paint fight with some of their friends.

Talked to Dave this morning, he is having a good time. They are staying at a casino so he said he has broke even so far. They were getting ready to tailgate at 11am this morning...the game isn't util like 6 or 7pm

Evening friends.........got another room housecleaned today...YAY

DS and his GF pulled one on me, called and asked if it would be all right if her parents and sister could stop by the house this evening so we could meet each other Her sister is 14 and is going to the home coming dance tonight so they were in town to pick up another young lady going with her...they seemed nice enough. Her poor little sister didn't want to go...guess a boy asked her and then 2 days ago, said he didn't like her 'like that' and wasn't going nor was he going to take her! Now I ask you, what parent wouldn't tell that young man you don't do that to a girl 2 days before the big dance, after she has bought a dress etc. I would have made him take her...heck, they aren't getting engaged and married, it's just going to a dance together..... anyway, she was going anyway with a friend. Guess she is very much a tomboy, but she looked very pretty all dolled up.

That Reader's Digest pic sounds great Gant and by the way, you aren't supposed to tell us you didn't catch a fish, you are supposed to say you caught the biggest one EVVA!!! LOL....hey, you still had fun and enjoyed the sport of fishing.

Glad Dave is having fun...he needs to hit the jackpot so you can fly all of us out to your house for a party!!

The Cubs are struggling right now, they better up the ante if they want a chance at this thing. D'backs are just playing darn well. Guess the goat is gonna get the Cubbies yet again....of course, things can change quickly in the game of baseball. The last time we played the Indians in a divison playoff back in 95, the Indians thumped us, so if that should come to be, I hope we can turn the tables. Manny plays for us now, back then he was an Indian. All the teams playing games have been pretty exciting so far. Not lopsided scores.

Noon back home nephew assembled Gas grill we bought July for us after giving him a Mt Bike I no longer used

1pm Connors Soccer Game Connor scored his first goal

230 home load stuff into car go to transfer station

315 pm head to Massachusetts for nephews 7 birthday

930 pm home

Went out to dinner with a friend...it was nice and relaxing. Watched the Huskers get thumped it was like 46-6 or something....trent even said the huskers stunk it up.

mic--glad you got to meet the maybe future inlaws....glad they were nice


I am really thinking about letting my kids skip sunday school tomorrow...i know i am such a bad mom.

Afternoon all........whew....busy bunch of peeps aren't we? Ed, you made me wore out reading all that....sorry bout the soccer loss, better luck next game.

I'm STILL cleaning...working on kitchen and the downstairs rooms are D-O-N-E...not going to worry about upstairs other than straightening up if I get to that. Want to be able to nestle down at 3 to watch the ballgame...I'm really figuring it is gonna be either a blow-out (Angels making up for 2 straight losses) or a nail-biter......

Also still having discomfort from this problem I've been having, the soon-to-be for sure diagnosis of diverticulitus...I'm getting anxious to get to the specialist on Wed. to see what is going on or get something to relieve it. Something is not right when it is still bothering me..........
