test Part 10

Hi you guys and gals....
First thanks for all the good wishes and get wells. It really helps to know that there are people pulling for you.

Here is what happened.

I woke up Tuesday morning and my back was killing me. I had been moving furniture for a couple days prior because my place was getting painted and I just figured I had tweaked an old injury. So I got it the shower to start getting ready for work. As I was in the shower, I started to fell really sick to my stomach and I just figured that was part of the back ache. I got dressed and went on to work.

Just a few minutes at the office and I really started to feel like ****. I told them I was not feeling good and was going back home. I guess this was about 6:45 a.m. When I got home I got my clothes off and crawled into bed and all of a sudden I couldn't breathe and my chest felt like someone had a foot on me stomping me. I called a friend and asked them to take me to the ER because I knew something wasn't right.

We got to Florida Hospital Celebration at about 8:00 a.m. and they took me right in. The hooked up and EKG and checked my blood pressure. Both were out of whack and my BP was sky high. They said "sir you may be having a heart attack we need to move you to an ICU unit to work on you." They put a nitro glycerin patch on my neck and started IV lines for medicine and drew blood. By this time I'm scared ****less. They get me moved to the other unit and start doing more tests. New EKG looks better. Pain has subsided. For the moment I'm stable.

So now it's 2 in the afternoon and the DR is calling to get me set up in the cardiac unit . Guess they are keeping for a while. I have to say that this hospital is really nice. The rooms are all private and for a hospital room they are huge. Bed, couch. 2 chairs and a recliner in each room as well as a personal laptop computer/ TV/ radio/ game console combo !!

After a few hour of CONSTANT attention from the nurses the DR comes in and tells me what is in store for me Wednesday. First I'll have a sonogram (sp) then a nuclear stress test, then a REAL stress test, then another nuclear stress test. Sounds like fun huh?

I get all the tests completed and after the treadmill test I figured I was gonna die anyway !! DAMN.....My "at rest heart beat we 88 and they wanted me to get it to 145 bpm...I got it to 164 and told him to catch me cause I was taking the express line off this thing!

The test showed something he said he wasn't happy with and that Thursday morning they would come and get me and do the heart cath procedure. Now I was scared. Well Thursday morning came and went and I'm still in the room. At about 12:30 they come in and shave me. Now thats a humbling thing to have done to you.

Once that is done they load me up and take me to the Cath Lab for the test. I get there and they put me in a little glass room and start hooking me up to everything. Then they decide I wasn't shaved enough so they take a go at me. Now I have no hair from my navel down to both my knees!!

So anyway, I lay there for 2 hours and they come tell me that they are so sorry but the equipment has failed and they can't do me then and will reschedule for first thing Friday morning.

You know, It took me all of the prior night to get myself geared up for this and now I have to wait again. That sucked. But at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning thy were in my room loading me up to go again. I went from my room to the table and then to la-la land. It took them about an hour to get set up and about 30 minutes for the procedure. I was awake the whole time but in a "different place" if ya get my drift. They did find a clog and told me they were fixing it right then. Did they expect me to argue??

Anyway when the procedure was over something happened and they all went into a different mode. When they uncovered me I was soaking wet from sweat. They started to ask me if I was in pain ?? There is a name for what happened but I can't remember what it was. It's when the blood pressure starts to bottom out and you start to pass out, or something like that. Anyway I told them I was not in any pain I was just hot.

The procedure went well and they got me all fixed up and sent me home mid-afternoon yesterday. I'm limited in what I can do for a few days and today I will get my first shower since MONDAY!!! Who wants a hug??

So that's it, that's what happened. And again thank you all for the prayers and support. It is greatly appreciated.....

tony, i am so glad you briefed us on what has been going on with you.

and, i am so glad you have been treated, fixed and now home.

we all were very worried about you.

you are young, too young to have had this happen to you.
but, a good thing you were wise enough to get to the er asap!

have had you in my prayers and will continue to do so.

now since you are at home, don't over do it.
and do not go play golf this weekend.

yes, i would hug mr stinky anytime!

pam, sorry, i thought it was dave with the shinner.
now i find out it is noah, ouch, baby him for me and give him a hug from us here.

i didn't sleep well last night.
mr mac kept tossing and turning and i couldn't rest well.
he always gets excited before he takes a trip.

he left this morning at 4 am for canada. he is going to camp at bruce canyon up in the ontario area. no mr mac for the week.
no cooking, cleaning, etc and all that this week for me...

i went to six flags to meet a diser( that i had met on line) this morning.
her and her family went there for the day. i think she said it was a 3 hour drive from them from the north to get to the park.
i visited with her and the hubby and sons for about 40 minutes then came home.

it is nice to put a name and face together.
something i really want to do with this group.

so i hear mr gant is having all of us over for dinner........
think he will have coffee there?

hope all of you have a good day.

tony - what an ordeal, so sorry you went thru it...be healthy, wealthy & wise:thumbsup2

pam - your poor baby, football will take it out of you

i don't have fleas...i wear a collar;) . mom's place did (every single year...she sneaks the flea collar off her cat:rolleyes1 denies it of course). Set off the 1st set of bombs...to be followed by #2 & #3 over the next 10 days.popcorn::

the Wolves scored 1st, ran back the kick...almost won (know it's not horseshoes lol; yet last year they conceded right after half-time/think mercy rule:guilty: )...so we'll call it a victory of sorts.:thumbsup2

i shopped today, bought Xmas wrapping paper (Shrek & disney) @ the dollar store lol.

DHs working this weekend for the big bucks; hard to turn it down. Think we may make it to the labor day union fair on Monday before he has to head out.

Enjoy the weekend!

Hey all.......

Have fun on the overnighter Pam.......funny how kids are NEVER tired and fall asleep within 5 minutes...

Mac, enjoy flying solo this week.......and how nice you met a Diser today, bet that was fun

KS, finding a deal at the Dollar Store is a deal inded:thumbsup2

well, it's not exactly solo this week, still have 3 sons here to cook for.
but they really like pizza!

Hey all. Got back from my wedding, All is well in the world. Great to see Tony recovering from his ordeal. Sorry about the Vols loss. My Rutgers team did pretty welll this week too! And how about #5 Michigan losing to a Division 1 AA Appalacian State? Great day for the mountains!

I'm just finishing up my 2nd cocktail so please forgive any grammatical errors.

When is the next proposed meet for us? Mac and her family are the ones I am dying to meet as well as Bob and KS. I already met OCM, Mic, TVT and Pam.

I just took my group (14 in all) to Philly to take the "Ride with the Ducks". They all loved it. I only did it because I "Rode the Ducks" with my test thread buds in Baltimore. It was a great success.

Hope to talk with you tomorr....I mean today! Have a great weekend all.

Morning friends......beautiful here

All is right with the world this morning....Sox beat the O's with a very dramatic game......a rookie pitcher threw a no-hitter, only is 2nd major league appearance, plus the O's had not had ANYONE blank them this season, and this kid did it :cool1:

Gant, you will have to go on a Duck Tour across the US :thumbsup2 riding them in every city they operate. I've been to the one's in Boston and Baltimore...had no idea Philly had them......cool.......yes, we need to try and all get together again.

I just got up and walked by the computer, think I'm heading back to bed...I didn't go to sleep til after 1:30 a.m. which is WAY past my bedtime......I was a rebel last night :upsidedow

Pam, hope you are having fun...

WAKE UP EVERYONE......IT'S SUNDAY

That's why I whispered it! Hope you all have a great day! Hope Mac has our backs today. Enjoying Dunkin Donuts coffee right now!

i just love mr gant's bunns..........

heading out soon for sunday school and church.

i have your backs for the week.
i always do.....

hope we hear from tony soon to see how he is doing at home.

howdy cowboys!

Just saw weirdest story on HLN, vampire dog-something or other attacking sheep in Texas...evidently it's been the stuff of legend around campfires for years. Unfortunately, HLN decided to show us both the dead varmit but a decapited head; evidently perserved - yuck.:scared:

oh yeah, another hurricane headed for one of my upcoming cruise ports (belize), started out as cat. 1 this am, up to 4 now. two down, two to go...all the cruiselines scrambling for berths - we've yet to be told anything offically.:rolleyes1 We've already lost Costa Maya (out 6 - 8 months, washed away the pier). Poor people:sad2: ; those in Belize were only expected to be out of operation for a month or so, hope it misses them. Evidently most of the local economy revolves around the touristas in that area...final pmt due in 2 weeks, i'm ready to cancel - DH sez to ride it out...course he is a gambling man...probably wind up circling Nassau for a week.

let me know what you guys figure out in way of a meet!

keisha, what are the dates for your cruise?

we should all chant no hurricanes ...........

haven't figured out what to do for dinner yet.
which take out place to call is my question..

i would love to do a meet!
think about what months/dates are not good for you and the family then list what is best for all of you.
if we list the "can't go time period" and the "this is a good time period for me", we are bound to find a period that will work for us.

once we get a date, then we can pick a location.

evening all!

tony--you have been thorough alot in the last week:hug: hope all is fixed and you start feeling better. don't overdo it!!!

mac--thanxs for having our backs.:thumbsup2

mic--did you get to go back to bed?

ks--i know you said your mom's has fleas..i was just giving you a hard time....let me rephrase that...i know that you said her room had fleas;)

gant--another meet:cool1: I'm game...we will need to find a time that works for us...i can't do it in may, june, and july....well, i could probably do the later part of july.

ed--where are you? I'm about to send out my personal hunters.

ocm--hope your craziness slows down soon

bob--how is being a sahd going for you?

the wedding was very short...about 15 minutes. The had a nice reception and a dj(thought of gant;) ) I took the kids plus one of our friends daughters back to the hotel and let them swim. I figured they would have more fun doing that then sitting at the dance ALL night.

I think we figured out what we are going to do with our computer. I think we are going to go ahead and get the new computer.

Evening all, I see most everyone popping in with a big ole hello :goodvibes

Bunns and donuts, my favorite combination...of course they go hand in hand...LOL

KS, I remember the year we took the Disney Cruise, a hurricane, can't remember which one now, went through and we never got to Castaway Cay as the pier was ripped out....it is a chance you take cruising this time of year, that is why you usually score somewhat of a discount...I'll be thinking good karma for ya that it all goes well...hey a cruise is a cruise is a cruise, even if you miss a few ports...life on the ship is sweet all in itself...

Pam, seems you had fun at the wedding....yes and no on getting back to bed this morning...I ended up sitting at the computer posting on my soap board with friends over there, something I rarely get to do, but did lay back down later and took a nice nap...plus I've done a big fat nothing today...I'll be sorry come Tuesday that I didn't do more around the house, but I really don't care right now...LOL...tomorrow I think we might head to Sam's to pick up fruits and veggies and maybe run an errand or two...nothing big...head out early, get back quick

Ok, once again I'm trying to get back into better eating habits. I've just been into too much snacking lately and I don't need it. I'm even cutting back on what I carry to work with me. If I don't have it with me, I won't eat it.....:thumbsup2 I eat healthy, I just need to cut out sneaking in a little of this and that.

evening all.

pam sounds like the wedding was fun.
gee, only 15 minutes though....

mic, you can do it.
you cut out the snacks and will lose weight easily.

Morning everybody...One more day to rest up and then back to work for me tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I'm feeling fine so far...Got nasty bruises on my arms and at the cath site. Looks like I got hit by a truck...LOL...But I feel pretty good.

And I want to say this...OCM is a saint....Although she couldn't be here with me, and she really wanted to, we were on the phone lots. She really helped get me through all this and I can't thank her enough. And thanks to all of you for the prayers and thoughts....You are all a great bunch.:grouphug:

tony you are still on my prayer list.

i think it is wonderful that ocm was able to help you.
she's a great gal and you have a super friend with her.

a few weeks from now, you will be feeling better than you ever had before!

morning all!

tony-- glad you are feeling better!

I am off to Lincoln with a friend today...have a few things to take back and just going to hang out.

Have a good Labor Day everyone!!
