Morning all

Mic -- hope you feel better

School starts tomorrow for Cam -- he's got a shiny new navy blue cast on his arm to go with his uniform.

Nicole's in Dallas for a couple days -- after 3 1/2 hours of flight delays, she made it there about 1:30am last night.

And yes, we're now on Bob Watch Day 8 -- right now, it's looking very unlikely that I'll be going part time, so Friday might be my last day of work here.

Bob, I bet Cam is super dooper proud of his cast!! It seems the plain old white casts of years ago are gone, they make everything so appealable to kids today.

Whatever happens come Friday, seems like you are content with it, so go with the flow and all will be as it should.

Feeling a bit better, but not sure if I'm getting a sore throat or what...I had a tad of a temperature this morning....but I'll live I'm sure

bob, navy blue is a good color for the cast. it hides dirt quite well.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...ARE YOU STILL ASLEEP?

I was running late this morning and didn't have time to search for the thread as it was buried

So let's see, rain is on the table again today, and then it is to get hot here again....grrr....we needed rain, but 3 days of gloom is getting depressing.

I feel much better than I did yesterday, do not know what was up with that. Some sort of small virus or something, as my temp was up a bit...although I guess maybe I'm just "hot"

Hope everyone has a good one......what could be better.....SOX won...YANKS lost....and just for Bob, his Indians are riding high right now....Gant, I don't follow NL much, so not sure how your Houston is holding out or Mac your Cards......you can post about them....I'm an equal opportunity reader...

day 2 of caddy saga...will she stay or will she go ; my mechanic is a butthead. Yesterday, when i went to trade off vehicles; he lost the key to it...took 1/2 hour before he found it.

need to pick out my specs today, still not sure whether to just get the 'lil old lady reading specs that hang off your nose or finally go to wearing them all the time? Don't use for close up, intermediate - computer, chopping food, etc. any words of wisdom?

You will find something part-time or like a contractual thing...maybe you can start an at-home business

Bob. I'm envious of you. When I went to work my DW has not had to work so she could be a SAHM. I still have to do the coaching and stuff but I love that aspect of the job. I would love to be in your position and I hope you enjoy it fruitfully.

As far as my Astros are concerned.....I have written them off this year. I did go to a Yankee game though and the luxery boxes at Yankee stadium leave very much to be desired. I did have an anonymous female grind up on me during the #4 subway trip out to the stadium so I guess I can't complain!

Life here has been good. One of my DS friends has been here since the beginning of summer. I got a threatening phone call from his mom saying she was going to call the Division of youth and family services on me. I offererd her the phone number and she hung up. Sure enough, they were at our house the next day. They asked if I was willing to house this kid and I said sure. They told her she would have to do a drug screen and she said "he could do what he wants"! Imagine giving your kid away for drugs!!

Anyway, I got him back into school and had him take an online course for US History 2 so he can graduate with his friends. I'm sure Mac will know that my reward will be being in attendance when he gets his HS Diploma with his friends and my son. This kid just needed a break because he is brilliant. His DM is an alcholic and on heroin. His major in high school is architecual (sp) enginnering.

So much for me for now. I hope you all have an enjoyable evening.
