We used Tesco vouchers this last holiday and saved ourselves £300. I thought was really good - but then I hear of people that save many many more!

I am collecting like a looney so we can have a Christmas in DLP for 2007 at the lowest cost possible! I spend probably £400-£500 month on shopping and petrol in Tescos but that is about all. What more can I do to boost my points?

Offer to pick up lots of people's shopping?
Other than that or upping your monthly shop i think you just have to carry on as you are :)

Do you have their credit card?

If not get one and buy everything from anywhere that accepts credit cards rather then using debit cards or cash.

I think its 2 points for every £ spend regardless of where.

Same here Quack, I'm upto a whopping £15 -since Christmas, we haven't got a local Tesco, so I can't fill up with petrol, but I usually shop online, my spends are about the same as yours.
I did read recently about a big mistake Tesco made by offering 150 extra clubcard points on a 65p Birds Eye Beef in Gravy pack. You don't have to be a great mathematician to work it out, one woman had spent £1200.00 in several different Tesco stores, exchanging her points for travel vouchers to fund a New Zealand trip, she gave all the food away to local hostels, but I can't imagine they'll repeat that sort of offer. :teeth:

My Tip

Join their clubs and they send you extra vouchers for points

ie Mother and Baby club gets you 100 extra points when you buy any kandoo products

Healthy Living gives you points for buying wholewheat cereal.

Also out local store prints coupons with your receipt which are usually for extra points.

If you shop online look out for offers with extra points.

I probably spend less than you monthly but got 22.50 worth of vouchers in March.

Happy saving :goodvibes

Another :thumbsup2 for Tesco credit card. We use it to purchase petrol (non Tesco) and for all food purchases. Doubles the way to get points :)

i have seen tesco vouchers on sale on ebay, some people will sell anything. but i am now saving mine up, i just use to cash them in, but i gather they are worth x3 the value on things.

Thanks guys. I got a form for the CC last night and will pay it off each month. We also took advantage of the beef offer - although not to that degree!!

I joined all the clubs online but so far have not recieved any vouchers, and I am trying to buy 'anything' I need from Tescos!

I shop online and use the extra points codes from www.loyalty-points.co.uk/forums. The codes are all sourced and are fine to use and since January I've managed to save around £100 in vouchers (£400 in deals). I'm saving for our DLP trip in October and hope to have around £1000 in deals by July. The trick is to shop online!

P.S. - I've just used my deals vouchers since November to pay for my daughter's bedroom furniture from MFI - around £600.

Thanks Sue - I have seen these sites and thought about using some codes. But I am worried that Tesco will catch on and will revoke all of my points. So I am a little wary of using these codes at the moment (I am sure at some point Tesco will stop people from using codes that they have found on-line)
