ps, youd think id never done this before with all my questions:rolleyes1

I have used some to book the Hilton at Gatwick the night before flying to Orlando.

You can use them to pay for a very cheap Virgin hotel (to get the flights) and then book your own car hire and villa seperately. One you arrive be sure to tell the hotel you won't be staying with them afterall. They will be happy as they can relet the room.

I'm sure others will have more creative ways of maximising them.

I have sold quite alot on ebay and get about double the face value. So for example I put £50 of vouchers on ebay and sell them for about £100 cash (spending money for my holiday!!)

You know they are worth 4 times their face value if you convert them into Tesco deals don't you?

We had a lot that we used to buy a car when they did the Motorpoint Promotion, but had we not been able to use them on that we would have booked a Virgin package with them I think. :goodvibes

Yes, thanks we have used them for lots of deals as well, but if there isn't a deal we want we like to sell them and get cash!:cool1:

:goodvibesThat's ok then! I didn't want you to be missing out! ;)

For those with large amounts, please note that from 01/09/09, Virgin will only accept 700.00 (after conversion) per person on the booking. Cosmos are only accepting 400.00 per person.

No more expensive Disney holidays for us. It'll be back to off-site. Not there is anything wrong with that, but I loveeeeee having the free dining.

Oh I didn't know that! I was saving all mine to hopefully pay for the whole lot in 2011!

I might have to look into airmiles now - But I haven't got a clue how that works. :confused3

Higgy, airmiles is so expensive. You might want to look at BA if it's just for flights. However thinking about it, I'm not sure if they no longer go direct from Mancherster and I notice that you are quite near to me.

I'm hoping my friends over on paid to shop have it all worked out, by the time I come to book again.

I think airmiles flights work out really expensive, we have just used them once and that was for a hotel as opposed to flights. This is why we sometimes sell them, I sold £600 pounds of vouchers and got £1200 in cash which virtually covered our US Airways flights (4 x flights manchester to orlando via philly at £1272). :goodvibes

You need 7000 Airmiles for a free flight (including taxes) from the UK to USA. With Tesco Clubcard, you get 60 miles per £2.50 of deals vouchers which equates to almost £300 of vouchers.

You can also convert them into BA Miles. You need 50000 BA Miles for a free flight, and the conversion rate is 600 miles per £2.50, so around £210 in Tesco vouchers. However, BA then adds taxes on top which seem to be ludicrous - I checked for a MAN - LGW - TPA trip and the taxes were over £250 per person!!

Ours are automatically converted to Airmiles which we then use to pay for the Gatwick Sofitel where we invariably stay the night before our flight.
