We have a room for HHN next Thursday currently booked at Terra. I saw Aventura drop to close in price and booked it, but now I cant decide. We like everyone going to HHN are hoping to get in the room early and Ive never stayed at either. Im hoping for thoughts from those with more experience than I have at resorts. I know Aventura has less rooms, would we have a better chance of getting in early at Terra or Aventura?

So Aventura is very popular with HHN.

Getting an early check in comes down to luck - and it can be very frustrating to say the least.
I would think Terra is the better option, but really that is just a guess.

I would not expect to get into your room before the standard check in time - and sadly I have seen it be later.
I am not saying you wont get an early check in - just be prepared.

I tend to come in a day early just so I don't have to deal with that stress.

I don't see taking the bus back to Terra as much worse than Dockside - maybe another 7 or 8 minutes at that time of night.
I've stayed at Dockside that last few HHNs and no issues at all - the buses also tend to run one right after the other so usually not much of a wait.

That said - you can walk back to Aventura but after all the walking at HHN not sure I'd do that.
That boats are packed and the lines can be ridiculous so I tend to get the bus back when I stay at Aventura and SF.

Have not stayed at either (and Terra has not been open long), but I have not had much luck with checking in early at HRH during HHN season (they just hold my bags), but that is just one experience and I doubt we’ll find enough data on one vs the other. It’s all going to be anecdotal. I will mention that they are very busy during HHN season. I would base your decision on where you are spending most of your time because Aventura is convenient to HHN and the original parks and Terra is convenient to Epic. Are you only going to HHN? If so, Aventura is a better choice. We’re doing 1 night at HHN and 2 days at Epic, so we booked Stella, but if we were spending more time in the original side, I would have booked at Aventura.
