what does bump mean?

I see it quite often.

DD, DS, DH etc....

Any help on this would be great

When a thread has fallen off the page to the next page someone will "bump" it ot the top by posting to it. That way it is the first one seen.

DD - Disney or Dear Daughter
DS - son
DH - husband
DW - wife

Bump is a way to post a reply to a thread so that the thread moves up to the top of the board, thus making it more likely that new visitors will read it.
