I realize they're not exactly the same thing, but I can't decide between the two.

We've been to Teppan Edo and then the Teppan Yaki restaurant before that. The family *loves* it. I'm not so sold, but I'm in the minority.

The plus to Teppan Edo is that it's at Epcot and we'll be there most of the day, so we can eat early and get back to the resort if we want.

Kona would cause us to leave Epcot and get on a bus or monorail (?) to go over to the Polynesian. Way out of the way - would take us (at best) 40 minutes to get there and 40 minutes to get back to the hotel. (We'll be at BC, I think).

For me, the selling factors for Kona are (1) I wasn't that thrilled with Teppan Edo and would like to try something different, and (2) visiting another resort for dinner.

What would you do?

I voted for Tappen Edo, only for convenience sake...after walking all day I wouldn't want to spend up to an hour on transportation. On the other hand...if you hit EPCOT early and go back to your resort to rest for a while, then I'd vote for Kona.

I have never eaten at Kona but I LOVE Teppan Edo. It as my favorite meal of my last trip. And there's definitely the convenience factor. If it were me, I would go Teppan Edo.

I've never been to either for dinner (Kona only for breakfast), so I wasn't going to vote originally.

But, when I saw you'll be at Epcot already, and Kona is out of the way, I voted for Tepan Edo.

It's crazy to leave Epcot to go anywhere else for dinne, with the exception maybe the TS restaurant at your resort, if you want to eat and then crawl into your room.

If you don't want Teppan Edo, pick a different restaurant at Epcot.

and (2) visiting another resort for dinner.

If staying at the BC and wanting to try a different resort for dinner, how about one of the places at the Boardwalk. They are much better choices IMO and would be very convenient. Visiting Epcot, you could walk to Broadwalk and then walk back to the Beach Club after dinner.

Considering you will already be at Epcot, I would eat at Teppan Edo. Kona is great, but I wouldn't leave the park to go eat there.

I've been to both restaurants. Actually, Kona is one of our Top 3 or 4 favorite places to eat in WDW. However, given how your day is setup...I wouldn't do all that traveling back and forth to eat there. If you can adjust your schedule so it wouldn't be a big deal...I'd suggest Kona. It's just a great restaurant and the resort is cool (especially if you take the ferry from MK).
