OK, now I look weird, because when I first posted my pic in the reply, it was HUGE and now it looks normal.
Anyway....yes, you can definitely taste the ginger. I thought it was quite strong. It was almost like at first you tasted plain cake with a light flavor of chocolate from the filling and then it was a bold aftertaste of ginger. I like ginger in sauces and stir-frys and I did not finish my piece of cake, it was that bold.
The fruit tart there was very good. DH had the green tea pudding, which he describes as flan-like and mild in flavor.
