Planning a WDW trip to for June 13 - June 19. I'm from South Carolina and just last June I camped at Myrtle Beach. It was terrible. It was so hot and humid that we couldn't bare sitting in the tent, around the campsite or on the beach. However we went to WDW the next month. July in Florida is of course hot, but we were much more satisfied with the weather and had no issue with the heat. Then again, we stayed at POR not Fort Wilderness. My question for you guys is is tent camping at Fort Wilderness in June unbearable? Will it be so ridiculously hot that you can't sleep at night and are sweating bullets in the morning? Also, after a long day in the parks, is the air mattress and sleeping bag sufficient relaxing?

Well, a quick Google finds this place, which tells me that in June, average low temperature is 71.9. I have no idea if you will consider that acceptable or not.

I will mention that in June, in Florida, our weather often takes the form where there are clouds, and every afternoon around 4:00, those clouds will rain. (When the weather is in this mode, then the clouds will rain, pretty much every afternoon. There's like a 50-50 chance whether you will be under a cloud, when it happens, or you will get missed.) And it's not a really severe rain (most of the time.) If you do get rained on, usually it's like a 10 minute rain, then it's done.

Note, those temperatures are averages. It might be 10 degrees on either side of that. (But probably not.)

The campground is really wooded, so there will be lots of shade. (But that probably cuts down on any breezes, too.)

Really, the weather in June is pretty similar to the weather in July, in my opinion.

We have always experienced pretty humid weather in June and a fair amount of rain.

The issue in my mind about staying in a tent is that you never really get a chance to truly cool down and stop sweating. The days can be very very hot all the way until 9 or 10pm and at sunrise the next morning the temps may start off at 74-76 degrees and shoot up quite a bit by 10am. It is often humid (as in tropical humid) and each afternoon there is a good chance of a thunderstorm. Maybe no storm, maybe a 15 minute total downpour, or maybe several hours of rain on and off from 3pm to close to sunset.

We have visited several times in mid-June and the statistics of temp and relative humidity really don't convey how it feels when you have been in the parks during the month of June.
