Tent camping in early December???

Just got back from a WDw trip (was there 12/10-14). We had breakfast over at Trail's End; this was the first time I've been to FW, and now I want to stay there! Do any of you tent camp in December? We really liked going at this time, so our next trip might be aroudn the same time. I beleive at night it was in the mid 40's. Will we freeze to death? I'm not a long time camper (been maybe 5-6 times, all in NC in the summer or early fall). My sister has only been a couple of times, so she is basically a newbie.

I tent camp EVERY December for a week. I LOVE it! It can get a bit cool in the evenings.

I have a cot with an air mattress built in, an electric mattress pad, and an electric blanket. I stay nice and toasty.

I run a fan in the tent during the day with the windows open to eliminate moisture.

I also leave my windows cracked while sleeping at night to keep moisture down.

Staying dry is the key. Wet and cold don't mix. Sleeping in a totally zipped up tent in the winter, you will get cold, because us humans create lots of moisture while sleeping!!

We tent camped for three nights ending on December 2nd. The low temps varied from 56 the first night to 48 the third night. We were fine but I'm still kicking myself for not bringing the small ceramic oscillating heater. That would have kept the nose a bit warmer. My wife, two kids (8, 5) and I each have our own cot and sleeping bag. That keeps us up off the ground. We're not avid tent campers but we do get out 2 or 3 times a year. Tenting in December was a concern going in but we had a great time and we'd definetely do it again.
By the way, the Trails End Breakfast buffet was one of the highlights for our 8 yr old son. We're not usually buffet food fans but we somehow failed to eat supper while in Magic Kingdom the night before. (time got away from us...) We all awoke that morning thinking an all-you-can eat breakfast buffet sounded pretty darn good. And it was!
