Oh I know, DH gave it to me and when I first used it and it whistled I almost cried :rotfl: I felt like I was at the Magic Kingdom!! All Aboard!!

All these awesome tent set-ups.

When I grow up, I want to be like YOU guys :worship:

We tent frequently at FW as well as rustic camping elsewhere. FW is like the Waldorf of campsites! Outstanding amenities, AND you're at WDW. My wife and I found over time that 2 twin mattresses next to each other, topped with a king mattress pad gives a luxurious king type experience. No longer when one gets in or out of bed does the partner get popped into space! Excelent isolation of movement!

That'll be 2 cents. :yay:

Since you were the one that bumped this thread I have to comment on your setup.

First you shouldn't really have your propane tank tilted quite so much. The fitting is designed to make sure only gas gets into the stove. With a new tank it maybe possible to get liquid propane to the stove and thats a bad thing.

Second a flipping Belgium waffle maker? You've got to be kidding me. :lmao::rotfl: Tea kettle OK but whats next a mini donut maker. :goodvibes

Welcome to the camping board ! Will you take a check ?

First of all I've been camping for over 10 years we know how to use the gas tank, it was not in use there, we were just setting it up, but thank you so much for your critique. :worship: The waffle maker so what, it makes the best waffles for the kids in the morning and is easy to use and super fast, so no Im not kidding you or anyone else!! I freaking love it. Next to the tea kettle is just the table hahaha :rotfl: no donuts maker, we don't eat donuts. It's just you know the little thing where the big tube on top goes in :rolleyes1 and it thighs it up, yeah! that's it...

So yeah!!Thanks :laundy:

There is one delisioso Waffle :) I can't wait to get my camper trailer to have more stuff :)

I won't be making waffles when backpack camping ;)

That waffle does look delicious!

I have a little Oster flip Belgian waffle maker that I bought on black Friday for ~$10 at Walmart. I'm taking it with me after seeing that picture! Which waffle mix do you use?

It's so handy and not messy at all. We used pancake mix (whole wheat) but you can get the regular one, the Bisquick I think is the brand, it has the directions for waffles.

I also used my George Foreman grill to cook bacon, so fast, clean and easy to use, we also made burgers and hot dogs, grill cheese sandwich :cool1: Our kids are always hungry so it was very easy and fast popcorn::

Just wanted to make sure you weren't going to burn up your Disney Kitchen Collection. ;)

Come to think about it, I think I bought the same Camp Kitchen and now that I see it in use I guess I have to figure out how to handle the propane bottle.

The thing about the Waffle maker is that I have wanted one for years but never had the counter space.

After our last trip my wife wanted Mickey Waffles and so I got the flipping waffle maker. Tried the recipes I have seen on the web, but have no idea where to get malted flour. :confused3

1. It's so handy and not messy at all. We used pancake mix (whole wheat) but you can get the regular one, the Bisquick I think is the brand, it has the directions for waffles.

1. At least you mentioned Bisquick because nothing says camping like a big old box of Bisquick. We don't have pancakes because of the cleanup, but I have to admit I have a Coleman Camp Oven and bake cinnamon rolls from a can and butter milk biscuits from fresh scratch just like Grandma used to make if she didn't come over on the boat from Austria.

2. At home we also use our grill to make bacon because it handles the grease so much nicer than a skillet. But camping we take pre-cooked bacon and sausage. Mostly because we camp in PA state parks that have a little bit more wild life than in FW and bacon grease just screams 'Come and Get It'.

We also pre make a lot of our meats at home like taco meat and use a seal a meal. Easy dinner, throw the bag in a pot with boiling water, heat up the tortillas on the skillet and open some pre-shedded cheese and lettuce. We also get the premade rice in a bag for a side.

We also have the Coleman camp oven :thumbsup2 my girls made brownies one night and we also bought little mini pizzas from the trading post, that oven is amazing, we loved it.

We also used the pre cooked ham, much easier and less mess. We had an visitor one night aka raccoon, we had all the food in containers but it was a small pack of oatmeal on the table and he ate it on the table and made a mess :rolleyes1 :rotfl: oh well, part of the adventure.

Thanks for sharing your ideas.

For my oven I have a dedicated single burner stove and I also upgraded the thermometer with a more accurate BBQ grill one. I'm thinking of adding an electronic probe one to make it even better. :thumbsup2

We usually camp at sites known as walk ins. You park your car in a small lot and have to carry your stuff maybe 100 feet in. So we can't always put our food back in the car.

One night we had some sort of bread in one of our totes. It was all bungied up but one little corner of the bag was sticking out. The animal must have worked all night. In the morning, we found half the bag pulled out of the tote and all the bread squished to the bottom of the bag.

Hi there:wave2:I'm coming a bit late to this thread, I know. Welcome to the wonderful world of Disney camping! What we bring is based on what all we plan to do. we bring a lot less when we are going to play in the parks as opposed to going to spend a week just at the Fort.

We don't really need an a/c because we won't be in the tent during the day, but we will bring fans! As far as our kitchen, this time we're just going for the weekend and we'll be in the parks. We're probably just bringing the toaster oven, the coffeemaker and the waffle iron (because nothing says Sunday in the park like waking up to belgium waffles :lovestruc). We use a queen size air matress and make sure we each have our own shower bag.

If there's anything you want to know, just let us know and I'll check for you. BTW, camping at the Fort is hands down the greatest way to visit the world!!

Whats with all the waffle irons? :confused3

When did waffle irons become camping equipment? :goodvibes

The only waffle iron for camping looks like this.

Here's even a flipping one
