Tenerife @ New Year

I am planning on going to Tenerife next New Year, yes that is not this year but next year. So I know it is a long time off, but I like to plan these things so I things to look forward to, after my trip to the Wonderful world of Disney in April.

So my questions about this are:
Has anybody been at this time of year?
Is it warm?
Is a good time to be had by all?
Do you know any hotels that have a jacquzzi on the balcony?
Where are the best places to stay?

Any help is appreciated and will help me talk the wife into it..

We visited Tenerife 4 years ago

We didn't fly until New Years Day so I can't comment on the entertainment etc but the weather was, mostly, sitting by the pool hot
There were a couple of overcast days but nothing major.

I've been at Christmas 4 times (to various Canary Islands) and have had various weather from shorts and t-shirts to quite cold although not as bad as here!
