Temptation temptation...what's a girl to do?

I need some serious advice....
Ok so while visiting the Disboards, I saw a post that showed air fare from Chicago Midway to Orlando $59 each way. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Then I went on the WDW site and found out that we could stay at a value resort with park hoppers for 4 nights/5 days for $1,100. That's about $1500 including airfare for the 3 of us. THEN I read that they MAY be bringing back the free dining for trips starting after 8/21. I thought WOW a WHOLE WDW vacation for $1500 and because of the way our paychecks are at work, I get an extra check for almost that exact amount this month!

On the other hand, it will be hot and I hate hot. It's hurricane season, I've been through 2 and I hated that too. We also just went to WDW this March for Spring Break and have a fabulous time.

So if you were me what would you do?
Surprise the kids with a "almost back to school" Disney trip or save up and take them on a really great, well planned vacation some time next year?

I would go now. Also, I just posted a thread that they did indeed bring back the free dining. You have to book by 8/20 and arriver between 8/21 and 10/4

I almost can't stand it! I just re-worked it out and it's more like $1300 TOTAL food, flight, tickets, room and all for the 3 of us. I even found a more convenient flight at a more convenient closer airport for cheaper!

Oh my what a deal! If I didn't have January already booked, I'd be tempted to go. Heck I'm tempted even with January booked, but I know I have to pass. I know the heat would drive me nuts too. Good luck making a decision. It would be quite a fun surprise if you could swing it! Those flight prices are something else.

GO!!! We are!!! All six of us were there in May, the free dining deal "arrived" and now me and DH are going back in August!!! (No great deal on flights for us Newark's rates are outrageous!!! That didn't stop us though!!)

Little update...I thought my parents, especially my dad, would give me a really hard time about this, but he just seemed to think I was a little "Goofy". He said that if I can afford it, then it is a good deal.
Yes I am an adult, I'm 35, but I'm a single mom and my parents help me out tremendously so since they didn't freak, once I get the time off cleared from work...I'll make the ressies

you are asking the wrong people. I am desperately trying to figure out how to take advantage of the free dining. Family of four could go to all stars for under $1100 bucks and drive. We were just there in June so money was not in the budget. Oh if only I knew they would have free dining through next 10/4. I would budget for June and Oct.

She booked a WDW vacation for August!!! Now I just got get those ADR's nailed down....
So far 1900 Park Fair and Hollywood and Vine ...one more to go

I had no idea they brought the free dining back ...must now think about a "halloween" weekend trip to see the decorations since the MNSSHP starts up early!!

You want to hear "oh my gosh you are nuts"...you should have been here last year when I went 1 week in September, weekend in Oct and a weekend in Dec!! My family was scared that I had gone nuts .

They just don't get it
