Tempers, do you have one?

Mostly, I'd say my fuse is long, especially when it needs to be, say in a business type situation. I can put with a lot when I know it's not in my best interests to show temper. And I'm very patient with my family.

One thing that gets my goat is slander, i.e., when someone lies to try and make me look bad. If I've done something to upset someone and they lay it as it is, I'll admit I was wrong. But when they try to lie, twist words, and connive to make my offense greater than it is or they take those lies to try and turn others against me, well, that's when I really lose my temper.

Irish Italian red head here....yeah, Ive been known to lose it on occasion.:teeth:

It depends on the situation. I would say for the most part, I have a long fuse but it really depends on who I am dealing with and who has said what!!:earseek:

Little things just roll off my back because they have no importance in my life, so it appears to others like I have a long fuse. I'm actually just very good at controlling my temper. Makes it more impressive when I really let someone know what I'm thinking.

I have a short fuse and it really doesn't take much to set it off.

VERY SHORT SHORT FUSe and then I blow and take a long long time to get over it, sometimes just don't get over it if I was hurt hard enough :D

It depends on the situation. Mostly I have a long fuse.

Sometimes I have a short fuse because I have no patience for idiocy especially middle school behavior. You'd be surprised how grown women can be, especially when they are in PTA.

Very short fuse but have learned with age to control it. I've been told that my temper is FRIGHTENING so I limit it. I used to use it because I new it was very effective but I don't wish to hurt with it like I used to back in my 30s. The 40s have definitely calmed me down.

Long fuse....but my DH calls me Horton the Elephant because I NEVER forget.......

I think thats an Italian thang, Gina. :p My Granny is like this, she can tell you how you pissed her off 18 years, 6 months and 4 days ago. :p Somehow it skipped my generation, but I'm noticing my oldest is one to hold a grudge forever.

I tend to lose it when I see injustice and cruelty. I've got a very short fues for that.

for normal, day to day give and take, I've got a long fuse.

As an Italian/Greek I would like to consider it being passionate as opposed to having a short fuse. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

In the rare occasion my fuse does go it burns very quickly, very hot and then it's over.

Mostly long fuse. Especially with dogs, kids and old folks. I admit to being intolerant to anyone mistreating those 3 groups.

I have a fairly long fuse with 'outsiders'. Anyone not in my immediate family. This is unfortunate because the people I love the most (and who love me the most), my dd and dh, get to deal with a much shorter fuse. I have really worked on this over the years (not that I still don't have a way to go because I do) because I hate the feeling I get when I lose my temper with others and I hate the look on my dd or dh's faces when I lose my temper with them. It's just not worth it.

Mine's usually long except when anyone threatens me or mine. Then, watch out! I'm a real mama lion when that happens. I don't know if it's the red hair or the Mediterranean blood but I can be a force to be reckoned with when I need to be.

Short fuse and my hand is always resting on the detonation box. I get over it quickly though. :o
