Tell us something odd about you..

I just thought of another. I can't stand for my face to get warm riding in a car. It makes me sick. So I am not crazy about running the heater in a car. DH says I only run a heater until his toes begin to thaw and then I shut it off. I can't help it. And in the summer I run the air conditioning full blast on my warm face.

I always try to sit facing the door in a restaurant. My family teases me that I've watched too many westerns and think I need to be ready to "draw" if the bad guys come in.

I have the same thing, but my DH thinks it comes from some past life of being in the Mafia.

I realized 3 recently after getting harassed about it...

1) I cant stand to breathe in fridge smell. I either hold my breath or dont put my head in- Doesnt matter if its a clean fridge or not...

2) When its pitch black I close my eyes when I walk around. I guess its more of a i dont know how dark it is when my eyes are closed...

3) I cant fall asleep in complete darkness and silence...

can't breathe when I drive past those concrete dividers along the highway. Well actually, I'm breathing, but I can't take a deep breath until I am past the thing. They terrify me! I've been known to close my eyes when DH is driving past them, but I still have trouble breathing.

I thought I was the only one who did this! Years ago when they were doing construction on I-35 across the Red River into Texas, I literally blacked out because I hyperventilated while driving through the WAY TOO NARROW construction concrete thingies. Thank goodness DH was driving! When we drive on vacation, I'll pull over before entering a construction zone, because my heart can't take it!

Maybe it's an Oklahoma thing...you think? :teeth:

I share a few of these oddities

I have to sleep with at least a sheet, no matter how hot it is

I like to pop knuckles as well (not sure how you pop a tailbone though lol)

I cannot sit in a room with my back to the door or window

If my feet are warm, then so is the rest of me. If my feet are cold, I cannot get warm at all.

I had 2 sets of teeth as a child. My permanent teeth were waiting for the baby ones to fall out.

I carry on conversations with the animals in the house. I talk to them as me and then I answer myself as if I were them lol

I'll ride any thrill ride but I don't like heights (so if it's standing still, I won't go on it)

I cannot wear any kind of necklace. The idea of things around my neck freak me out

:teeth: :hyper: :teeth: :hyper: :teeth: :hyper: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: , seriously.

I almost never wear coats when it is cold outside. I was outside in 30 degree weather and people were staring. I am always warm.

I stick my tongue out when I put together puzzles. Is that odd? My dh thinks so...

If I make a hot dog and the bun spits in two..I get a new bun

One of my vices is to watch old TV cop shows like TJ Hooker and Streets of San Fransisco on tape

Beer out of a bottle is OK but when it' out of can, I use a glass

Angela Landsbury scares me

I do that too, but I think it's because I'm afraid there will be something that will poke me in the eye. so it's more of an eye safety issue. :teeth:

I don't like to wear coats either. It has to be pretty cold for me to wear one unless I know I'll be standing outside for a long time. I will sometimes just carry a jacket with me in the car, but not wear it.

I can also crack all my appendages. Fingers, wrists, elbows, knees, toes, back and neck.

I'm not sure if this would count an hallucinating but sometimes I'll have these weird sensations where I feel like I'm lying down when in fact I'm sitting upright at the computer. Or if I'm lying in my bed it feels like the room is spinning and I'm going to fall to the floor but I'm really just lying still. Even stranger is I'll get these feelings in my mouth. Sometimes my tongue feels fuzzy or like it's bigger than usual and taking up my whole mouth. And usually when that happens everything seems to be going in slow motion.

Add me to the list of people that can't go to sleep w/o a comforter...just a sheet will not do, I need my comforter...that's why our electricity bill is so high in the summer.

I eat sandwhiches in circles.

Ever since DS started eating solids, when I feed him, I open my mouth every time he takes a bite.

I check my alarm clock 5 or 6 times to make sure it's set before I can go to sleep.

I have to have a straw in a restaurant...can't drink water/soft drinks w/o one. Also, I need ice in my water/soft drinks/OJ.

My2Sams:
I can't stand to have anything between my toes. Flip flops creep me out! DH loves to torment me by pushing my socks down between my toes, and it's almost driven me to kill him on more than one occasion!

Too True. But I'm still alive.

Ok. Here's something about me. I like to live dangerously by pushing my dear wife's socks between her toes.

And I drive her nuts because I want the hangers going the other way!

My2Sams:
All hangers must point in the same direction (towards the back of the closet), and the clothes must be hanging with their front side to my left.

(But I wouldn't want her to be any other way. :) )

And to all of you who must wear socks I say not for me.

Its either shoes AND socks, or no shoes AND no socks. I hate the way socks get all loose and sloppy when you're not wearing shoes. Yuck!

When eating a Krystal, I have arrange the pickle on the meat "just so". It has to be in the spot with the least amount of mustard (or no mustard) so that when I eat the Krystal, I get a bite of mustard and/or pickle in every bite. Is that odd?

And I can't fall asleep without ear plugs. I started wearing them years ago because DH snores, and now I'm addicted to them.

my clocks are fast too so i always have some extra time....i also have to doodle during classes, i cannot help it...I cant sleep with pants on, just shorts or no shorts...the ice tea i drink has to be restaurant ice tea, not the bottle kind or can kind. also if im wearing a button up shirt i have to have something over it....feet and ankles are kinda weird to me....

thats all i can think of for now:)

o wait theres more...when i wiggle my toes my fingers wiggle too

when its really hot i dont take of the covers i have fans blowing on me, i need my comforter....o and my nails have to be long...

hmm guess im pretty odd

The only thing I can think of is that I LOVE to chew on ice...drives people nuts!!! I'll just sit around with a huge glass of ice (no liquid) and chew on it. Even in the winter. People who have sensitive teeth watch me and shudder. It's something I've done since I was a teenager, I know...I know, it's not good for my teeth, but I can't break the habit...I guess I'll just keep doing it until I learn my lesson.

I have to have a noisemaker on(white noise) to sleep, before they came out, I had a fan!

What fun!
Let me see...

I have to sleep with one foot outside of the blankets! Always!!
Toilet paper must be folded not scrunched!
Bedroom must be pitch black at night or I just can't sleep!
I have to use tonnes of exclamation points when I post!!!!!
