We frequently eat at the Rose and Crown Pub at Epcot, and know they have good GF options. We have also tried Garden Grill and Coral Reef. My DH and both sons are GF, and I am thinking of trying somewhere new this year for the candlelight processional dinner package. I know a lot of the Epcot restaurants are not owned and run by Disney, and at least in the past this made gluten free options a bit more of an uncertainty. So I wondered where others have eaten gluten free in Epcot and how the choices were/what the experience was like. Please help me decide where else to try! I don't want to pick something that sounds good to me, and the have the Gluten free options be limited or not good, or even worse, iffy. Thanks so much in advance for your experiences :disrocks:

So I haven't been in a few years but I have eaten at a few places GF in Epcot. We actually like Sunshine Seasons for dinner, they have plenty of GF options and if the line to Soarin is short we hop in line before or after dinner. I didn't care for Rose & Crown, but it may have been my food, I found it to be bland. I liked Garden Grill and Coral Reef for the food and ambiance. I honestly don't care for Chefs De France, only ate there for Remy, the food to me was very bland. I cannot remember which one (their names are so similar- both with San Angel) but we ate at one of the Mexican restaurants and had a great meal. It was tons of food and everything was delicious. I believe we got some sort of skillet so nothing with questionable sauces or flour tortillas involved. I too have been skeptical of the options at some of the other places, I am usually there for 6 days so 3-4 meals in Epcot is typically enough for us. I also ate at Via Napoli the first week or two they opened. I had GF pasta but I since read somewhere they don't recommend themselves for GF as they have a lot of flour floating around. Since we like Mama Melrose or Tony's we eat there instead.

We ate gluten free at La Hacienda and it was very easy. Much of the food is naturally gluten free and they gave us corn tortillas instead of wheat. We've also eaten gluten free at Sunshine Seasons and Coral Reef.

Biergarten has some great GF options on their buffet as does Spice Road Table. (We eat at Biergarten every visit) I wasn't crazy about Chefs de France, not because they didn't have options, but because their options were more about leaving sauces off the dishes and I was told "if you take the sauce off, it takes away from the dish". Maybe it was more one server's opinion than fact, but it put me off eating there again. Sunshine Seasons is my favorite quick service in Epcot for GF options.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. I was thinking Spice Road Table, it looks so pretty and I think I would like the food as well. I had been thinking Biergarten as well, but the communal seating really puts us off. I think enough to keep us from booking it. That's good to know about Chefs de France. I'm sure the food is not the same without the sauce. In a way my DH is used to that, but I want him to like where we go so he doesn't regret missing out on R&C. Keep your experiences coming, it's very helpful. Do any of the Italian restaurants serve GF pizza? I was thinking I had read they do not.

The food at Spice Road Table is very good. I highly recommend the rack of lamb. The grilled skewers are good too, but very spicy. I love spice so I really like them but if you're sensitive to spice you might not like it or you can ask for it with the harissa sauce on the side. It comes with one chicken and one beef skewer.
We ate at Tutto Italia almost 2 years ago. It was ok, but not one of my favorites. They don't have GF pizza. There is a pizza place in Italy, (Via Napoli) but I don't know if they offer GF pizza.

We had a good gf experience at the San Angel Inn.:thumbsup2

Via Napoli definitely does not have a GF pizza. Not sure about Tutto Italia.

I have multiple allergies, and San Angel Inn is my favorite World Showcase restaurant. I have always enjoyed my email there and I have always had excellent service as well.

We have enjoyed Biergarten many times. I don't like the communal eating either, but we go for the food and entertainment.

I have had great gluten free breakfast experiences at Akershus and Garden Grill. Both places have made me GF Mickey waffles, and I've been able to eat most of what was on the family style serving dish (sausage, bacon, potatoes, etc.) Akershus has many options on the cold buffet that are GF, too.

For dinner we always eat at Rose & Crown, and you're already familiar with that menu, so I don't need to tell you about that! :)

FWIW, I was nervous about this, but it turned out fine. We sat at a table with two other couples. We got our food, sat down, chatted for maybe 5 minutes, then the show started. It was actually really nice to chat with some new people because we were several days into our trip! If one of the couples had been quieter, that would've been fine with me and I wouldn't have found it weird. The food is really tasty!

I think it's also 6 people to a table, so if it's you, DH, and DSx2, it would only be one other couple.
