Tell me why you go to WDW as an older adult?

I am 53 about to turn 54 yrs young and my husband is 61 yrs. we love disney and return over and over again because of the lack of pressure we both experience when we are there. We are always treated with respect and really enjoy feeling young again on Buzz Lightyear as well as getting chills everytime we see the fireworks at EPcot. We are celebrating our 35th anniversary with our first cruise. We could have cruised many times in the last few years however waited for this one because we wanted to cruise Disney. We are so excited and cant wait to share Disney with our grandson who is 2 1/2 and just loves Pooie in a few weeks. And yes we will be taking a deposit to book our next cruise or our next disney vacation for next year. Where else can you go to feel so much like a kid again no matter what age you are? :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I enjoy traveling to other places, but am really happy when I go to WDW. It's a chance to be a kid again. It's like, no matter what is happening in your life, once you go under the sign that says "Walt Disney World", it's like all those worries are gone. I have several people ask me why I go each year and I tell them that it's the one place that I am most relaxed and at ease. There is always something new. When I went in 2003, I went around and tried to get my picture taken with as many characters as possible. It was just fun to do!

Since my kids are grown and DH and I do Disney as adults, I think I love it even more!!! I'm in charge now and can do exactly what I want without worrying about pleasing anyone else!!!! woo hoo!!! We are doing grown up things like tours and kid things like Rock'n'Rollercoaster!!!! In May I am celebrating the 30th anniversary of my 21st birthday and I'm doing it with Mickey!!!! Let me re-word my siggie.....I'll never grow up, I'll never grow old, blame it on the love of Rock N Roll, Bon Jovi, AND DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Because it's one of the very few places that I as a 34 year old can go and act like a 12 year old and not get funny stares.
