HELP!
Not only is DS my first child so everything is always an experience but he's HFA (among other things) as well introducing a whole new set of fun. He's 9 which I thought was a little early but this is what i was hit with at 5:40 this morning...
DS: mom, what are those things called again down by my bladder?
Me: Your kidneys?
DS: No, you know, down by my privates?
Me: They are your testicles Dalton. All boys have them. Have they been bothering you?
DS: Not bothering really, just different. What do they do? And why does my pee-pee stand straight up sometimes?
Me: (Panicking) Dalton, we need to finish getting ready, can I answer your questions later?
Bottom line, do you think that the onset of puberty affected your child more that a NT child? What should I expect? If you medicate, did it affect them?
As always any help is appreciated.
I'm just not ready for this.

Anyway-I say honesty is best. And have his dad talk to him! Good luck.

so I'm just now getting to post. My husband heard the story and laughed hysterically.
