Saw a clip about a multiple vehicle accident with 3 deaths in TX due to the ice - my first thought was to a few of our TX friends here. Stay safe.

As much as we get the miserable cold (-3 on the way in this morning) and more snow, the one thing we get less of is the ice. I'll take 6" of snow over 1/2" of ice any day!

We are a little south of you. The ice seems to vary from year to year. We will usually get one or two ice "events" a season though. Nothing this year... yet. Despite getting heavy flurries (1/2 - 1 inch) each day this week, we are still way under snowfall for the year. We have nothing in November and December. That is unusual and only a couple of inches in January. March is when we have had some of the heaviest.

So when I got up this morning, the streets were clear and the news said all the light snow was north and we wouldn't get any.

It has been flurries all morning. We have enough now to cover the street and it is heavier than flurries.



Yes, it is still cold.

This was what our deck looked like at 8am this morning . Needless to say the Girls are not happy. Coming from Florida they don't know about snow. The few incidents we have had over the last 5 years since we got them have all been MAJOR DELAWARE BLIZZARDS of like 1 inch variety. Had to clear path to and the steps before they would go down

Nah. Twin Cities is a lot colder than 13. I have a racing friend that lives outside of Madison WI. He sends me pics of his thermometer all the time. It was -12 the other day.

But also the temp. It gets to a point where it's just cold. Thankfully there isn't any Kansas wind to compliment my cold today. I'm sure that'll change soon enough

Ft. Worth & Austin, Tx had some bad pile up's - Ft. worth was horrible , lot of people killed. Right now it is raining & 32 with 25 chill factor. Our worse weather is hitting us Sunday into Monday. I don't like cold weather & is why I live in Central Texas. Kris y'all be careful on your way home & everyone else in this crazy weather stay safe & warm.

It's finally stopped snowing across most of Scotland now after 2 weeks!,
Clear skies and sunny, mid 30s day, low 20s overnight, with a bitter east wind.
The days are getting a little bit longer now though, dark around 5.30 pm.
I think I'll take the camper van out for a run to the coast tomorrow and give the batteries a good charge, spring is just around the corner.
