Okay, so I made my flight reservations through Disney Travel Company. I've since started using a travel agent to do everything.

Well, apparently I didn't include our middle names on the reservation. I thought for sure that I did, but apparently not.

I called Delta and they said that it's $50 to add it to our tickets.

So, I'm freaking out. I've contacted my Travel Agent, but figured that I would ask the experts here. Please tell me that I haven't made a major mistake here. Waiting to here back from my Travel Agent is nerve wracking.

Biting my fingers and worried as anything now. Luckily there is plenty of time before my trip.

Thanks for the help. It's much appreciated.....

This is not a problem. You don't need your middle name on your tickets.

I was just wondering because on the TSA website it says that the name on the ticket has to match the name on the ticket. I guess as long as the first and last name are the same it's okay? This is the first time that I've flown in 13 years. Can you tell? LOL!!

As long as the first and last names are right, don't worry.

I don’t use my middle name for anything though my middle initial is on my ID. I have never had a problem. My dad travels all the time for work and its booked through their corporate travel department. They always book using middle initials and my dad’s name is Robert A. “Lastname”. And his tickets always come to Roberta “Lastname” and he’s never had a problem.

my ticket was issued as Bern Doyle-dimou -- my passport says Bernard. I flew. Dont stress it.

I've never used my middle name on a airline reservation. You are freaking out for no reason.

I think you meant to say the name on the id has to match the name on the ticket (?) No, it doesn't have to exactly match. You can have a full first name on id and a nickname on a ticket (Tom vs Thomas). Middle names/initials left off a ticket don't matter.

My oldest son booked his own flight to FLA to visit a friend from college. He included his middle name on the ticket. His driver's license does NOT have his middle name. I called the airline (Jet Blue). No problem. The check-in went smoothly!

My middle name is on my ID and I never put my middle name on the airplane tickets. No problem ever.

That's funny! THAT should help put OP mind at ease for sure!

LOL!! I read this and started laughing! It definitely put my mind at ease! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much to everyone that answered. I know that I'm way overthinking it and am freaking out, but I appreciate everyone's patience.

I remember hearing awhile back that they were going to start being very strict on making sure the name on the ticket matches the ID exactly - so I understand why you were freaking out. I always add my middle initial now as it is on my ID. But, at least for Southwest, it doesn't show up on my boarding pass and I have never had an issue.

Have a fun trip!

That's how most names are displayed by most airlines. My first/middle name is Tara Leigh and my name shows up at TARAL.
