Last night I decided to have a garage sale (and I have one every 6 months or so, so I have signs ready to go.) I gathered up everything I wanted to put in and priced it while I watched tv last night. It took about 2 hours. Then I dragged it to the garage and arranged the small stuff on tables, hung the clothes on clothing racks. (I have 3 wheeled ones that I use to help with laundry so it's really easy.) Put the big stuff on the ground. In the morning I got dressed, got my kids fed, went our about 7 and put signs up, opened the garage, and dragged everything out. It was about 3 hours prep work, 4 hour sale, and I made $141. Not spectacular, but not bad for spur of the moment either.
